Who is better to understand a cat owner than another cat owner? Compared to other pets, felines are quite something and if you just got one, well, you won't be the one setting boundaries. You'll be the one obeying your new master. Cody Stone Stowe got a cat a couple of years ago and he started making comics about them at the same time. Naturally, cats and comics go together like HBO's Game of Thrones and disappointment, so Coral, his little furball, soon became the star of his series.

The plastic ring from the gallon jugs of milk is our cat's favorite. That, and a ball of rolled up tin foil. If he sees you throw some away he meows until you get it out and ball it up. All I can do is say, "Yes, master!"

boxes...it's always the boxes...and i keep them around the house cause it all they want to sleep on.
My calico cat is obsessed with rolled-up paper made into a ball. When thrown at, she will swat it like a goalkeeper.
"In 2016, living in my own home, I thought it was time to get my first pet," Cody told Bored Panda. "A cat was always ideal since they seemed to be low maintenance (only slightly true). Coral was the first cat we picked up to hold, she climbed on my back, scratched the hell outta me and from then on, she owned me."
I mean the cat is the queen here she can execute you if she wants......
: did you know a pregnant / lactating cat is called a queen. no wonder why they look down on us commoners.
Load More Replies...I tell my cats every. freaking. day. that lying in wait is a felony
Been there! Except mine was behind me, I went tumbling, and his response was to come up to me and say "Merwow?" as in "Are we playing?" LOL.
You really can't blame that one on the cat what idiot doesn't look down when they're about to start down a staircase?
"I never knew that cats had such a sarcastic personality on 'em. They have so many looks that reflect human ones that I get quite the kick out of seeing on a funny cat. Slow glazed blink. Eye rolls. Side eye. There was so much there, and from that, so much to draw from."
imagine having four of them looking at the same spot. we get so freaked out!
All four of mine sit together on the kitchen counter and look. The youngest then starts a meow yeowl sort of noise. Thats when i spray them with water and tell them nothing is there. Brave me, eh!!
Load More Replies...When I see one of my cats staring at the wall/ceiling I always check for a bug and if there is none, I redirect their attention before I get freaked out to the point of wanting to leave ☺
My ‘cat’ does that too!! Lol. My car just sits in the garage and looks dumb. Duh
What do you mean, "cat"? Why is it in quotation marks (I mean, they're apostrophes and you used them incorrectly but whatever)?
Load More Replies...Cody began making his animal comics the same year he got Coral. "A coworker at the coop I was working at commented on how I was wasting my drawing talents at work on the whiteboard." And that was enough to get him going. "Originally, I wanted to animate on YouTube, but that idea came right when the YouTube format pretty much moved toward making long format videos the only viable career. Of course, I still wanted to animate but I also wanted it to be a career I can live on, and the financially viable career just wasn't there for me. So I decided to try comics on Facebook. Started the page WeFlaps and just started posting comics. It was at no cost, no worry of copyright, and didn't take a long time to illustrate. After the summer, somehow the page had gained fifteen thousand page likes and it had only grown from there. Added a way for fans to support me with a merchandise store and it has become a full-time job for me ever since!"
My cat must be faulty. That is the one spot that will cause violent attact every time.
Nah hun, cats are all individuals with diff. likes and dislikes. Also they like keeping us guessing / working at the relationship. ;p

I, too, like to do yoga when someone scratches my backfor me
"When I initially started making comics, I had been following The Oatmeal comics by Matthew Inman. The humor was right up my alley and it also revealed to me that comics don't have to be incredibly detailed or realistic. In fact, making it more simple can often add humor to the piece. My early comics reflect his style but later, I had moved on to more bold lines, a little more detail and color. I was just getting bored with the white blob characters. I had tried many different styles in between but finally found a consistent style my audience and I enjoyed."
OMG they just lay there and stare at you. we kick them out and close the door while doing that. all we see is little claws under the door
My cat learned to open the door, so now we lock it if we want some private time.
Load More Replies...Cats will lie on you/give you attention anytime except when you actually want it
Regarding pane 4: as a pet owner, you need to learn to ignore it. Same with dogs. They _are_ watching. But the good thing is that they do not judge.
I am a cat person, but dated a dog person for a while. I eventually got to the point of being okay with the dog watching. But when he decided to participate, I was just done.
Load More Replies...This is just like Helena. If I do anything in my bed, she has to be a part of it. Really fun trying to do a crossword puzzle with a gray tail in the way.
Honestly, we just get it on with dogs and cats everywhere.
Our cat is especially clingy. All hell breaks loose when we want some sexy time. If we kick him out of the room, he opens the door cause he learnt how to. If we lock the door, he meows and scratches until we give up and let him in. So we've been sneaking out of the room after he dozes off at the end of a long play time. Recommended.
"Going forward, I'm hoping to expand the WeFlaps brand to things outside of cat behavior comics. Comics with me as the main character, maybe get into animation, Twitch streaming of sorts, and who knows what. Though I'll still maintain the comics about Coral because she's a limitless inspiration. Even though I've had her for three years now, there are always new surprises every week from her and I look forward to many more years of surprises."
I had a picture of my black cat yawning posted in my office and non cat havers thought it was a panther. Once I told them it was my cat they said he looked evil 😁 He is actually the biggest baby!
mrowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww hisssssssss hissssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes! and my black cat does it as the butt crack of dawn so i can't see him hiding in the shadows
I have to leave the hallway light on so I can see my baby panther.
Two of my three kittehs blend in with the wooden stairs. Unfortunately there is also a large picture window that casts sunlight on the stairs first thing in the morning. If you are not careful you will either step on a kitteh (for which you will feel awful about and wish you were dead) or you will see them at the last micro second, will avoid crushing, but fall to your inevitable death. Either way cat+stairs+sun=death
that is completely my boyfriend. We have 3 cats. they are all stealth :)
same. i'm always so sad when i need to get up while my cat is comfy in my lap
Get a dog. Train it to bring you stuff, so you don't need to get up when your cat is on your lap. ♥
Load More Replies...Purr sure. Kitty makes it look like suicide and rakes in the life insurance.
Load More Replies...Yup. I can't count the times I've tried to sleep in some uncomfortable position because I didn't want to disturb cat.
I feel like my cat know exactly when I plan to get up and she jumps on my lap right at that moment.
Just pick the cat up (no matter how mush his/her claws hurt) and move them.
Every day, over and over again. And still they scratch the box like a possessed b***h.
So true. Just like my dogs using the pee pads too. My feet are on so it's good. However, the hole is over the floor.
Time and again I have woken up to the lovely sight of a feline a**e. Ragamuffin (RIP, you sweet alley cat), Aida, Helena.
Our cat likes to lay on top of you, even if you're laying on your side.
Yep. My cats are like those lumberjack log roller guys. If I roll they stand up and walk until I stop rolling and then they lay back down again.
Load More Replies...I have 1/6 of a queen bed to sleep on with I cat. After years of fighting,I sleep on the edge or hug the headboard.
We have 3 cats and a dog. The cats are allowed on the bed at night (dog used to, but got too territorial, so was exiled to his dog bed), and have done 1, 2, and 3. No fatalities. However, when they cuddle up close in the summer, it's like the heat from a thousand suns pressed against you. But no one has gone over the side...yet.
My cat plays with my alarm and sleeps on it so I got a bed all to my self. :)
I feel lucky that none of my cats (so far) have wanted to sleep on my head, especially my face. Though maybe one of them did and always moved before I woke up. It might explain the claustrophobia that I have developed as an adult.
You can train her to stop that and clip her claws. It takes time but is doable. Look for cat forums. Good luck!
Things like this come from either being too playful with them as kittens or not playful enough as adults. If you play with your kitten using your hands and body, he will always think they are toys. It’s nothing horrible but not the best idea either.
Load More Replies...I saw this happen once but a girl was sitting on a table dangling her feet, the cat was under said table. It all happened so fast that I couldn't warn the girl before realizing what the cat was about to do. The funny part was that the girl's reaction was to jerk her feet out forward and the cat was just a kitten; cat learned about physics that day and went flying across the room.
Thankfully mine only go under the beds to hide from loud noise or one goes under to hide from the other, neither attack is my feet, thank God, cuz I hate that feeling
when my 19 year old is hungry, I get the warning meow, then I get the warning look....and then you know the nip is coming!
Staring is agressive behaviour to cats, always make sure you slow blink when looking at your cat!
That's true. It's considered bad manners in the cat world. That's why a cat always goes to someone who ignores them, rather than the person who's trying to coax them to come to them.
Thanks to my cat Spike I won't be getting my deposit back when I move. He loves using the door molding as his scratching post.
I love his coffee cup, and that coral's wine glass is larger than his
we bought the robot litter...Such a life saver, not only for the clean up but for the smell
I have two Ragdolls so I bought two huge litter boxes with higher sides and more room. One of the cats covers all of her pee and poop with gusto. No question about it when you see the floor when she is done. The other one backs up to the side, pees on it and walks away. She is too special to cover her pee and poop.
I hate having to clean the litter box because then they will just kick it out of the litter pan so we have to vacuum the laundry room twice a day.
My box has a cover and litter scent granules that you sprinkle in keep the smell at zero.
Not all - our old neighbours had a lab who was a complete nutter. Got banned from training classes. Just wanted to love everyone with very enthusiastic hugs.
Load More Replies...My lab was scared of my cat. I had my cat first, she was 10 when I got Daisy, the black lab so Sheba was the boss. Daisy wouldn’t walk past Sheba cos she was so scared, unless I was between the two of them.
Our cat chased two Rottweilers down the street once just because she didn't like them. Pretty funny to see two big dogs running from a little cat.
I got 2 cats 2 dogs and 4 fish, the weird thing is: the dogs like to sleep with the cats, the cats like to sleep on the fish tank, and the fish only feel safe around our dogs.
my cat does that but when he is on the ground he flips around on his back and playfully bites and claws and my arm. He doesn't like to play on a regular basis.
Well I mean they can’t tell you to stop. A few scratches does the trick lol
countdown to hooman death t-minus ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, death, immenet
Ha my cat matty does this all the time she's like yep I'm definitely enjoying that!! Purrrr!! Hiyah ninja cat slice!!
My friend’s cat Dante has a limit of three... More than three pets and he latches on to your arm and scratches the s**t out of you.
I had a cat that would bring live stuff into the house to play with - mice and voles, mostly. Once, she brought in a baby bunny. She set it down and it was off to the races. The bunny went to the deepest spot under bed that it could find. The cat could still get to it, so I had to close the bedroom door after I pushed her out so I could get the bunny out. It was a cute little bunny and I wasn't sure what to do. I put it in a ventilated box with some greens and water. I took it to the edge of the wooded area and set it free. I wasn't sure if its mother would take it back, but I saw glowing eyes approach the baby and led it back to the rest of the clan. Then the little family turned and hopped away. That cat, Shadow, was quite the hunter and I frequently found parts of other small rodents on the porch. I think she was trying to teach me how to hunt, but it didn't take. I still have to go to the grocery store. The biggest prey she gave me was a blue jay. It was more than half her size.
Cat's don't have to be talked into destroying a Christmas Tree, they just naturally do it!!
Mine always had to use it if we changed the litter...I was lucky to finish putting it in before she hopped in there.
Ours are the same, literally lined up for first poop
Load More Replies...Cats need something better to do than watch their slaves clean up there poop and feed them, cats need to come with a robot or a cat maid.
The cat sees me flush it down the toilet, so he's good with it.
Live lizards. And live garter snakes. Try waking up to one of those curled up next to you
Load More Replies...They do that because they're trying to teach you how to hunt. They think humans are just stupid gangly fur-less cats
I started a secret stash of dead cockroaches behind my human's front door
One time I noticed my cat playing with something on the living room floor it was dark so I couldn't tell what it was didn't think anything of it until it flung a small mouse onto me lol. Quite the surprise to say the least.
Before he died my father had a cat that would find a bug, tear the wings and legs off of it, then watch it squirm with her tail twitching. She would also get pissed when we killed said bug and took it away from her. That cat was a demon.
Never load smartphones in bathrooms. And always shut the lid. As easy as this.
Standard electric sockets aren't allowed in bathrooms in the UK so no chance of this happening here

Every time I come back from work, from shop, from walk, from anywhere..
That right there is why I taught all my cats to sit for their dinner!
We give our cat wet food at 5:00pm every day and whenever its around that time, he will follow you anywhere.
My black kitty does this too, every night. or she stares at me from her little under the stairs hideout (where her food is protected from the beagles). and she waits for me to feel her stares
This is what my cat does if I try to ignore him at feeding time. ouch
The TRUE black cat’s curse! (No obviously they aren’t cursed, anyone who believes this is a moron)
Shouldn't they be able to feel cat fur on their face?
Load More Replies...I like to call it “lion king-ing.” My cats do it to each other all the time. They’ll be playing on a couch or bed then one of them will start to slip/fall. The other looks triumphantly at their doomed friend and gives them a big, fat swat in the face. It’s pretty much the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
Or just comes and lays down on my laptop keyboard, no matter I work
my cat sat on my keyboard while i was typing a very important essay, he shut down my computer and it didn't save!

One of the only times my cat demands attention, and I mean DEMANDS, is when I am on the computer. He sits on my lap, and it is very difficult to type!
