Unpopular opinion, but graffiti should be removed. Graffiti ruins cities, as well as small businesses. My dad's business, and tons of others, have been messed up numerous times by so called "street artists." It's not even our business. It's our house too. If you vandal lovers want to ruin walls, then go do it in a place designated for that. Don't mess up businesses because you want your art to be seen by like 3 people. Thank you.
If you guys support vandalism, that's fine. Please don't downvote me because of my views. I would like to engage in a civil debate.
Load More Replies...It was obvious done by a dumb suburban kid, but up around my job, some little twit thought he was SO clever by using black spray paint to cross out the 'not' on a do not enter sign, and also to very sloppily try to make a 30mph speed limit sign look like 80mph... That particular one was mostly washed off, but clearly not well enough. My car has a feature that will read road signs and project the speed limit on the windshield along with other relevant info. After passing the sign one evening, it projected 80mph as the speed limit on an unlit, winding road. I chuckled at the stupidity of it, tho when I told a client at my job whose husband owned a Tesla, she informed me that if that had happened while in self-driving mode, it likely would have caused the car to speed up towards 80mph and undoubtedly sent it careening off an embankment into a river. Graffiti kills, kids! Stop pretending to be Banksy with road signs and go learn something.
Still, for cruise speed limits most self driving software relies on sat data and online stuff for main ways and roads. The reading thing is for uncharted roads, but there self-driving cars still prompt the driver to take control.

Counterpoint: graffiti has been with us since at least Roman times (there's graffiti in Pompeii; I expect lots of earlier stuff too, I just don't know about it) and where it's survived, it is a very valuable part of the historical record. Vernacular culture has it's own value.

Noncommissioned public art. Some of it brilliant, some of it c**p. Lots in the middle. Allow/support it and you’ll get better stuff
Graffiti art (hard to differentiate sometimes) is nice and makes a boring wall interesting. "gazza is a fikko" should be painted over without question
Tag yer it: was or is the defacer (now) more {in}famous?

"Awwww what a cute baby" "Thanks he's a Quarterback in his daycare team"

The one about the potatoes reminds me of a fellow Amateur operator who had a parts store in his basement. On the shelf where he had dozen of jars of transistors was a sign, "The tubes are behind you".
Very funny signs. I wish some of the signs I see around me were like this.
