Melissa Hie is the "girl" in Girl Eat World, a travel blog and Instagram account that documents the delicious treats she eats while on the go. Hie started travelling in 2009 when she moved by herself to Singapore; in 2010, after a short trip to Thailand, Hie knew that she was hooked, and has been travelling ever since. Bored Panda reached out to Hie to find out how Girl Eat World started:

"The [2013] Europe trip was my first ever solo trip" Hie explained to Bored Panda. "During the trip, I had the chance to taste many delicious food from the countries I visited, which is Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Belgium. However I had no one to share it with so I ended up taking pictures of the food with the amazing European backdrop at wherever place I was having it. And that's how Girl Eat World started."

Godiva uses blood chocolate; slavery cocoa beans. Also, they use mouldy, old strawberries, and cover it up in chocolate....at least that's what the teens did when I worked there. Management wouldn't let me stop them.

Taiyaki is always fish shaped... if it's a similar dessert which is not shaped like a fish then it would be called ningyo yaki which means "doll" yaki and comes in various other shapes. But "tai" yaki always refers to a fish shape.

I thought this was the "tastiest" street foods. That ice cream doesn't taste very good - definitely not the best you can get in Korea. Not to mention there are several tastier street foods easily found all over Korea! I feel like she just chose this because it is tall.
