“Girl Eat World” Instagram Features The Tastiest Street Food From Around The World
Melissa Hie is the "girl" in Girl Eat World, a travel blog and Instagram account that documents the delicious treats she eats while on the go. Hie started travelling in 2009 when she moved by herself to Singapore; in 2010, after a short trip to Thailand, Hie knew that she was hooked, and has been travelling ever since. Bored Panda reached out to Hie to find out how Girl Eat World started:
"The [2013] Europe trip was my first ever solo trip" Hie explained to Bored Panda. "During the trip, I had the chance to taste many delicious food from the countries I visited, which is Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Belgium. However I had no one to share it with so I ended up taking pictures of the food with the amazing European backdrop at wherever place I was having it. And that's how Girl Eat World started."

Hello Kitty Donut, Japan

Gelato was my favorite summer treat as a kid, we used to make mango and cherry and eat it by the pool on hot days
Frozen Yogurt, Malta

Koulouri, Greece
Fish-Shaped Taiyaki, Japan
Taiyaki is always fish shaped... if it's a similar dessert which is not shaped like a fish then it would be called ningyo yaki which means "doll" yaki and comes in various other shapes. But "tai" yaki always refers to a fish shape.
32cm Ice Cream Cone, Korea
God that would be so scary, someone bumps you and there it all goes

Beautiful photo! I love the juxtaposition of the simple pastry against the colorful background.

I know Toblerone as a chocolate, not as pastry. Looks good though...
