People can be afraid of many things, from darkness to spiders, to you name it. Some of these fears are totally irrational, others come from our childhoods and creep in well into our adult lives. One of such bizarre fears is megalophobia.

Think of large objects like huge cruise ships, animals, skyscrapers, underwater structures, and even statues. Now imagine how’d they look if they were bigger. If the thought of it makes your hair stand on your arm, you may also have some traits of megalophobia.

And this subreddit named r/Megalophobia puts a test on your fear of large objects because it offers one hell of a collection. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are "triggers" for those with megalophobia,” says their description and 430k devoted members are nodding their heads. Not really, as she sailed for about 20 minutes before capsizing and sinking on her maiden voyage

This ship lasted about 20 minutes on water before sinking 😂 Great story, not so great ship..

I don’t know why in the world you are getting downvoted. The ship might have looked glorious, however, it’s design is now deemed to be faulty. Even the museum website says that the upper works of the hull were too tall and heavy for the small hull that was below the waterline. Thus, even the lightest breeze could cause the ship to heel.

I was privileged to see the Vasa in Stockholm in 1972, those days she was still being sprayed with a special liquid to prevent her drying out too rapidly.

We saw this on our last cruise. The guide explained that the King changed his mind during construction and that the right side was constructed by one group of builders and the left another. He said when it was launched it leaned one way then the other and when it leaned (don't remember the nautical term)back the other way it kept going all the way down. Very interesting tour.

Leave it to Sweden to build a ship that sinks within 15 minutes of being out in the water.

Ships are almost always so much bigger IRL than I expect them to be. I am always surprised by how big ships (and pigs) really are when you're standing next to them.

And it sank less than a mile from land, sailing for less than 20 minutes, on its maiden voyage.

For some reason, when I went to see this, I didn't see the awesomeness of it. I'm not sure why. Might have been that it's indoors. Or that it didn't make it anywhere.

I get paid more than $90 to $100 per hour for working online. I heard about this job 3 months ago and after joining this I have earned easily $10k from this without having online working skills. Simply give it a shot on the accompanying site. Www.incomehd.com

I get paid over 190$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I've been doing.. :) AND GOOD LUCK.:) HERE====)> https://www.hmjobz.com

That's a mighty Clydesdale, the greatest breed of horses. They live only about 15 years though, shorter than most other breeds.

It’s usually done in poorer countries such as India and parts of Africa, the job has literally no safety requirements or protection from falls or dismemberment. Bosses buy the ships on contract hiring as many labourers as possible to break down the ship as fast as possible to make profit off the scrap. Most common deaths are falls, getting crushed and asphyxiation from using cutting torches in closed spaces. Most workers get paid Pennies per hour. If the worker survive long enough as a ship breaker they often end up with terrible illnesses from toxic exposure to chemicals or materials.
