For 3 Years In The Row, This 8-Year-Old Girl Dresses Up As Iconic Women For Black History Month (30 pics)
In honor of black history month, a mother and a daughter teamed up to recreate photos of iconic black women.
Back in February 2017, Cristi Jones decided to commemorate the month by dressing her 5-year-old daughter and shared the results on Twitter. While there were so many women worth to mention, Cristi decided to take one photo per day and narrowed down the list to 29 memorable figures. Not only did her daughter had so much fun picking out costumes and dressing up, but she also learned about important black women throughout history. The mom and daughter duo has been continued this tradition for the last 3 years. Scroll below to see the result!

Im sorry but no disrespect but even rosa admitted that her bus protest was stagged. It actually happened to a pregnant 15 yr old girl, but the naacp thought that would give a bad optic. So they had their married secretary rosa parks do it again. She got all the fame and fortune...the real hero ?.. barely even known
But she spread awareness. That's the point.

Wow! For a five-year-old, she really captures facial expressions. Future actress?
My thoughts exactly! She can convey emotions in a very mature way.

SUGGESTION: Loretta Mary Aiken, was the first black, female and possibly first ever stand up comic. For over 50 years she was a popular vaudeville and live performer. She met with LBJ prior to his signing the 1964 civil rights act and still holds the record for the oldest person with a top 40 hit. She performed under the name Jackie "Moms" Mabley. She may not look like it, but she was a kick but trailblazer!!!!
I remember Moms Mabley! Yes, I am THAT old, kids! There are some vids of her on You Tube.

I learned quite a lot from this post - I didn't know all the women represented there, so looked them up
I love Lola! I am looking forward to this year! I wonder if her sister will participate?
She's lovely. As I live in the UK I didn't know many of these women, so I googled. Well done to her Mum!
This young lady looks wise beyond her years. What a wonderful influential Mom you are! One day we will see great things your daughter has accomplished!!
Seems racist to me. If we had a white history month the SJWs would have a meltdown.
If you had actually read the text you would've seen they started taking the pics when the kid was five, so she hasn't been 8 for three years. Furthermore, I don't think this is exploitative because they're simply spreading awareness of these amazing women. Also, if the kid didn't like doing this, they wouldn't do this; do you know how hard it is to put hair, makeup and clothes on a kid while they're having a tantrum because they don't want to do something? And then take a successful picture of that?
