I’m going to start with probably an indoor cat only—wasn’t hit by a car, mauled by a dog or raccoon, didn’t accidentally eat poison set out for a different creature. When I was growing up, all of our cats went in and out, and the oldest cat we ever had was Momma Kitty, who lived to be seven. My cat—the late, great Petrushka—lived to be 16-1/2 and even survived two years of diabetes, and managed to outgrow it (something people cannot do—sorry!) because I never gave him the chance to be hit by a car. Vera, my last cat—who was given to me by my two best friends because she and their new cat could not come to terms with each other—the sweetest kitty I’ve ever known in a cat-filled life—lived to be 19. All Vera ever wanted from me was for me to sit down so that she could sleep on my lap. Also, Vera was fed high-quality food that was largely just raw meat with some ground up bones and a very small portion of veggies, which most accurately reflects what they eat when left in the wild.

Travel at light speed? No. No object with mass can do that. A single atom of hydrogen cannot travel at the speed of light, much less a whole spaceship or probe. There may be a way to “bypass” it, via wormholes other theoretical concepts, but no, no one anywhere in the universe will ever travel at or faster than the speed of light. It’s like saying that one we’ll be scientifically advanced enough to make 2+2=5.

Slightly different situations though

The physics there are wildly different, it’s really not a good comparison.

No, they might find a way to bend space or time or both, but not travel at light speed using current non-spacetime-distorting methods. IE the Alcubierre drive. The problem is that as you approach v=c, your mass becomes infinite and the energy required to move you becomes infinite. Individual particles and rays can travel near or at v=c, but not composite things like human bodies or spaceships.
