As someone who was the only child in the family, I had always thought that having a few brothers would make my life way more fun. Sara Easter, a photographer from Arlington, Texas, has been documenting the everyday life of her three sons (4,7, and 9), and her photo series only support my childhood fantasy. Of course, what is "fun" to a kid, often means something else to those raising kids.
"At this point, the boys are pretty immune to my picture taking," Easter told Bored Panda. "I photograph them almost daily so they hardly even notice me doing it anymore. It's just a thing [their] mom does."
"I started taking pictures of my little kids for the same reasons every parent does. I just wanted to remember what they were like," Sara said. "I gave up taking posed pictures of my boys pretty quick for that same reason. I didn't always see who they really were in those staged photos (although I do very much value portraits and love to have those as well). I wanted interesting photos of them doing what they normally do, being themselves because that is what I really want to remember."
Seeing how quickly her kids change really motivates Sara to continue this beautiful photo series. "I'll look at photos from a year ago and not only will my kids look different but their toys, rooms, activities, and mannerisms will have changed. I'm constantly trying to catch who they are before they change again." A well documented and accurate portrayal of their childhood is what the mom constantly strives for. "I want them to have something of themselves to share with their kids and grandkids. But most importantly I want them to be able to see themselves how I see them through these photos. They are wild, creative, funny, kind, loving, generous, silly, and smart. I hope they can see all of that reflected through the way I photograph them."

I hope this is dirt because my friend's kid did this with poop. she didnt know where to start with cleaning him, she was abit consoled that it was his own poop....I think i would dig a hole in the yard put him in and hose him from there to avoid poop getting everywhere.

Yet another wonderful enjoyment my husband and I carried over to adulthood. I bought him bubbles for his birthday last year. The kind for kids and the kind in a champagne bottle. The beauty of being old enough to appreciate both ;)

My personal favorite childhood spot to hide in hide-and-seek... my brothers couldn't fit but I could! Was great until the one time they forgot they hadn't found me yet, left me in a basement cabinet, and went to get popsicles...

You might consider promoting this picture to the kayak company. If they were smart, they would use this in their advertising campaign. It is a great shot and sends a fantastic message. You have fabulous talent (and cute, cute kids too!) Good for you all the way around :) :)

This article is not really accurate. It is cery "masculine" boys do this and girls don't. I have seen both sexes do both things, from putting on make up to playing with trucks. It's just called having kids. Lol

It's kinda sad when you can't say anything about boys without everyone talking about how girls do the same thing? The reverse is certainly true when people talk about girls. All kids are different...your girls are messy and loud while your boys can be sensitive and affectionate. Does this honestly have to be said EVERY time...it is a given....what will people debate next, gravity? No one is arguing this point. This photographer has three boys...she is documenting what it is like to raise HER three boys and honestly, I thought it was lovely. It's not rocket science....

you want to know who killed Kenny..?? my two sons..set him alight with a spray can turned into a flame blower..chuckles..at least they did it outside..oh, and then there was the time they turned their huge white bear Muzzy into a terrorist..l honestly do have photo's, somewhere, just not in digital format..

Everyone of this pictures reminds me of some mischief that me and my sisters made as little girls. I grown 4 girls myself, and don´t see a difference in their behavior, compared to boys

After raising both girls and boys, there was not much difference in the early years. They played the same, got dirty the same, other than my daughter wanted to get cleaned up faster, thus changing her clothes 5 times a day, my sons, clothes could stand up by themselves when they took them off at night.

Nope, I have had 4 kids 35 male, 33 female, 29 female, 17 male. They are like entirely different species! Males and females think ENTIRELY differently! THEN, when they hit puberty, I wanted to give my daughters up for adoption!! They turned into DEMONS! The boys just became ultra awkward.

I have daughter and it's very similar. I don't think this have something to do with gender. Children are not aware of their gender until 3, and it more likely that parents are stereotyping their own kids. My grandmother had 3 children: 2 boys and a girl (my mom). She told me she'd raise 10 more boys before another girl because "boys take care of their own problems..."
