It seems and by the way very understandable that if you are commenting on the first guy and feeling sorry for him it is either relatable or you are feeling badly for him and that is understandable. My take on this though is this, if the girl in this settled for the guy in the first boat or did not open her heart and eyes to allow life's lessons, she would not have found her destination to happiness, and to do that you have to love yourself enough to put yourself first. If you are lucky to have that outcome you are a strong person who truly knows what you want. Maybe this is where the expression "Missing the Boat" comes in....
