By far my favourite,2nd place goes to Holland in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia
I saw this! Every country that was represented on Senator Row (sorta speak) was reminiscent of that country.
Germany in Muscat, Oman
This is by far the most impressive of the 30 embassies. What a great architect who designed this.

What's that got to do with French embassy?

Iraq in Kulosaari Island in Helsinki, Finland
Looks like the mausoleum at the cemetery near me. Same architecture.
There is a library building that looks like that one in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.
France In Vienna, Austria
Kazakhstan in Washington DC, US
I used to drive by this regularly. It's just off 16th Street, backs onto Rock Creek Park. There's a lot of "minor" embassies along 16th Street, the ones who can't afford to move into Embassy Row. Some gorgeous old brick buildings, however!
"Although Kazakhstan a glorious country, it have a problem too: economic, social and Jew."
It’s for Hobbits seeking political asylum in Kazakhstan.

What functional purpose does that overhang provide? If its decorative IMO it adds nothing and just looks awkward.
Italy in Brasilia, Brazil
Looks like main railway station somewhere in ostblock. (yeah, I mean Bratislava.)
Denmark in Reykjavík, Iceland
Switzerland in Nairobi, Kenya

Load More Replies...If I passed this building, I wouldn't even look twice before telling someone it was a house.
Australia in Jakarta, Indonesia
The person who assembled this list really has a thing for Brutalist architecture and its Post-Modern offspring.
Load More Replies...OMG!!looks like a Council Estate in a seedier part of the town...is that plastic grass?
Libya in Valletta, Malta
That’s the ambassador’s “limo”...everyone else just walks.

It used to be all pale yellow 26 years ago. Went there for adoption papers for our children.
Is this the old building or the new building the Russians built for them that, after it was completed, was discovered to be *completely* honeycombed with listening devices?
I am surprised it has access so close to roads, most of them have more restricted access
Norway in Kathmandu, Nepal
Mongolia in Berlin, Germany
A bear wearing warm fuzzy boots and a blue whatever that is...coulottes?
Load More Replies...You can fond 350 of these "buddy bears" standing on different locations in Berlin. They are painted by artists and are Art.
The bear is actually the symbol of Berlin, nice to see some embassies incorporate that
Ecuador in Bogota, Colombia
Japan in Bratislava, Slovakia
I am from Slovakia but not sure what is so hilarious about this building? :)
The title of the article says "Amazing," not funny. This is a pretty nice historical building, Isn't it? Lots of the examples seemed less than " Amazing"
Load More Replies...Many embassies, are dumps in office buildings because the visitors do not buy land or real estate.
Canada in Tokyo, Japan
Its actually neater than this as there is an old park that is beside the building that is held in trust between Canada and Japan and its agreed to never build on the land. The roof also has an amazing micro representation of Canada in a rock garden water installation. Its a fantastic building.
Typically Canadian. Safe. (I am Canadian and proud of it)
Load More Replies...Russia in Havana, Cuba
There should be a huge wind-up key sticking out from the side.
Load More Replies...I hate soviet buildings. Argh. Time to upgrade! Concrete boxes with, sometimes, mosaics
Perfect example of the Soviet Brutalist style of architecture. Ugh-ly.
Croatia in Canberra, Australia
The embassies in Australia are on larger land and not accessible but tend to be made in the character of the country they are from. It is lovely if you go to the area in Canberra and drive around and see all the different buildings
Yes, it's just a building. Nothing special or interesting about it.

Saudi Arabia in Ottawa, Canada
It looks a little like the house in Mr. Vincent Price's House On Haunted Hill movie.
Afghanistan in Prague, Czech Republic
Poland has Prague embassy in 18th century baroque palace, but sure, let's use Afganistan :D
I am sure there can be more representative building of embassiss in Prague. the UK one is pretty impressive
What about the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC? It's so beautiful!
Just saw a picture of it. The architecture behind it is quite stunning.

I love how most of these are influenced by the architecture and building styles of the area, with a modern touch.
The Modern buildings are so gorgeous. I want their architects’ phone numbers.
