Woke My Wife Up On The "Right Side Of The Bed"
My wife had one of "those days" yesterday, so I wanted to do something special for her.
I woke up early, got the kids out of bed and made them breakfast. This way my wife could sleep in. I figured the kids were old enough to not set the house on fire while she was sleeping so I drove down to the store and brought her back her favorite Starbucks drink and the flowers you see above and headed back home.
When I got back home I started a bath for her and went down stairs to make her an English muffin for a little breakfast snack. I left all of this in the bathroom with the lights off and natural light coming in.
Finally, I went into our bedroom and nudged her awake, telling her that her bath was ready.
She was happily surprised when she opened the door to the bathroom.
I love doing these little things for my wife on occasion to remind her of how much she means to me. I'm sure she loves it too.

My husband and I adopted two shelter cats this past Valentine's Day. There were three sisters and someone had adopted one of them. There is no way we could split the two remaining. I felt sad for the one who was taken away from her sisters. I've always thought it best that if there are two siblings that they should be kept together. Bless you for not splitting your two up.

This reminds me of something... Many years ago, on my dearest grandma's birthday, since I was away and could not see her, I sent her a potted plant, from the florist. I wanted her to be able to keep it, instead of cut flowers, that would end up dying. When she passed away, 12 years ago, I inherited the plant. I call it "Mamie's Plant". It is one of my most precious possessions... Here's the craziest twist : my grandma was actually my adoptive grandma, since she and my grandpa adopted my mom when she was a baby. Mom had no information about her biological background until a few months ago, when she did a DNA test and learned that she is 60% Irish. The plant in question is an Irish Shamrock. :)

I think the vent is the same and it was taken on a different angle which could be the issue! And as far as the husband or bf doing the whole room (new washer and dryer..new flooring.. ) I would do the same. Home improvement is a home improvement ;)

I remember many years ago when we were young and broke, I had a really bad week. My hubs woke me up on Saturday morning, handed me a handwritten breakfast menu and a mimosa, took my order and made me the best breakfast I have ever had (French toast and bacon). We spent the rest of the day snuggled up watching movies and playing Daytona 500 & Sonic on our Sega (as I said, many years ago).

Now this is what I like. Reminds me of the things that my mama used to draw. Mama says that her favorite drawing she has ever made is one of ice cream and bananas fighting each other. She likes to draw cool and quirky things, too! I think I inherit some of my skill from her. So yeah, this painting really hits home to me. I miss my mama <3 Hope she can visit soon! (She's still alive, just living at another home <3)
