Do It Yourself projects allow people to reuse items lying around the house to create something cool instead of throwing them away. However, just because you can DIY anything, it doesn't mean you should. A subreddit with a pretty self-explanatory title (DiWHY) is collecting the worst DIY fails, and they are so dreadfully awful, you might feel like Leonardo Da Vinci after checking these bad ideas out.
Basically, these DIY ideas belong to one of the two groups: a) a DIY project is so bad, it shouldn't exist, to begin with; b) the execution turned out horribly wrong. From leaving a print of your baby's bottom on a bowl to preserving childhood toys like failed biological experiments, some people should really consult others about their latest DIY crafts. This would be fitting for an old barn turned in to a house, where you just leave some old details. But this looks so out of place in this new building.
I don't know, it fits right in with the keycard reader next to it and it's inability to ever be used as an actual door since the other door closer is in the way.

That was my idea too. The wooden door was the original one, then Management decided to install a conventional door, but they thought the original one was too pretty to be thrown away and kept it as decoration.

Old barn doors are very much in style these days. But this is definitely NOT a good placement for it.

Old building renovated. They kept the old sliding door probably because of the look.... We had those old sliding door in a warehouse where i used to work, they were still in place but locked on place with a new door, very much like this. I think they never removed it cause it save on costs... Dont know why peole keep pointing out that "it wont work"

You can only close the wooden door partially and when the other door is open.
The wooden door will hold the other door open so that people can bypass security

On the positive side, I like this entire collection because it shows me people are still out using their brains, being creative, no-matter how bizarre and are willing to put it out there for us to see. It sure beats beating fake people and animals up on a screen all day. This shows at least some people are still trying to recycle and use their brains. Good Work to All who contributed .
