This Artist Turns Old Pocket Watches Into Miniature Worlds, And The Result Is Fascinating (28 Pics)
Greek artist Gregory Grozos is on a quest to prove that pocket watches can do much more than just tick. They can fit entire worlds inside them. "I call my creations 'miniature worlds' because that is what I exactly aim them to be," Gregory writes. "I try to make each work of art as detailed and complete as a tiny world would need to be in order to be called a world."

A time machine, one scrolls until you find where you want to be and then push the stop button and then you are there.
Wow! I love it! I'm a total book nerd and this makes me feel...peaceful.
Looks kind of like he had the back open and that was in the background. So cool.
"All the themes and ideas are my own and many of these detailed artworks can be broadly categorized as steampunk, fantasy and whimsical in style. I pay a lot of attention to fine detail, trying to bring to a harmonious combination with many tiny bits and materials that come from a variety of unlikely sources."
Boy: Imagine if there was life beyond this world where everyone was much bigger than us. Other person: Don't be silly.
Interesting. Looks a bit like a time turner, but looks like the scene from Doctor Who when Wilfred first saw Donna in the TARDIS.
This is so lifelike. It would probably give me chills. I would keep expecting the little people and gears to move.
Gregory sells his beautiful artworks on ETSY where the artist already has 71 reviews. Every single one of them is 5 stars. "I believe that art is a field of human culture which has tremendous power in affecting people," he adds. "I thus try to bring out what is positive, bright and wholesome in my unique art, making it into something which can have the capacity of benefiting, inspiring and helping others. Seeing things in this way has opened up a completely new field of ideas, creativity and an enthusiasm to improve my skills, techniques, and knowledge."
These pieces of art are incredible! Gregory will be very successful in the art world - his vision is unique and comprehensive! Gregory is a wonderful artist!
My favorite...and all are awesome..this delights me to no end...
His pieces cost from $39 all the way up to a thousand, but each of them offers something different. And that's what's wonderful about Gregory's work. They always find new ways of surprising you. Despite the lack of space within the watches, Gregory still manages to tell a story that feels whole. They are full of little details that keep your eyes wandering in countless rows of bottles, jars, and screws.
So Many little details, must take a lot of patience....beautiful....
I love looking at the heard so much. Almost missed seeing the tiny men at work in there.
I meant to say gears not heard. Spell check is so amusing..

I see one and say that's my favorite. Then I see the next one and say, Now that's my favorite. And so on and so on
yes, he really nailed that atmospheric-gradation and everything. Earth appears to be MILES below our vantage-point !!
Load More Replies...I didn't like Jack and the Beanstalk, but this is a very beautiful piece of art.
I have looked at this a number of 'times' and finally saw "Jack and the Bean Stalk". Eyes must see what they are looking at to get the picture. LOL
There are so many details in even the tiniest things! I love the feeling of the cluttered art studio and the dreamy feel of the starry skies and the two people sitting on a branch.
Okay you first go that way and when you get to the rock you can turn left to the bridge , cross that and it should take you to Costco.
"I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my a*s for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you."

Load More Replies...This one has a kind of "sinister inventor" feel to it. I like it.
Gregory Grozos, are these paintings on the clocks? It's magic and marvellous!
They are all absolutely amazing! I see perfect gifts for engineers, pilots, astronauts, lovers...and, oh yeah, watchmakers!

Love this. Great work. I need to know where he gets the mini people. I have a tiny bottled garden that I want to include a small group of hikers or Chewbacca or something. Anyone know?
