Have you ever wondered what the plants in your house are thinking? Or maybe what your pets are trying to say to you? Or perhaps what the inanimate objects in your home are planning? Well, maybe these illustrations will help you figure it out.
Indian artist Adarsh known as Lazyleafcomics (formerly Adudraws) started to create adorable, colorful, sweet, and wholesome cartoons to lift people's spirits and make their days better. Adarsh is a Geology Ph.D. student; however, he's thinking of quitting science and pursuing art after he's done with his degree. The artist mentioned that the illustrations and the process of creating them bring him so much joy that he wants it as a career.
Not only are his illustrations beautifully drawn, but they are also very funny, punny, and have unexpected twists!

One plant, called a Puya Plant, takes 150 years to get to the flowering stage. Then it dies.
Adarsh told us what inspired him to create these adorable illustrations: "I have always loved cartoons since I was a child. I used to make simple cute illustrations but got bored of it. I wanted to tell a little story or send a message through them. So I started making comics."
The artist told Bored Panda what the main goal of his illustrations is: "I try to make comics and illustrations which entertain people, give them joy, and hopefully make their day a little bit better if they are having a tough time."
We got to overthink this until you're up way past when you usually go to sleep.
My brain: hold up, we gotta create five new original characters and a new paracosm first.
Adarsh shared how he got into art in the first place: I was watching some anime series during my masters and one fine day, I just had this question of how they make these digital cartoons. I researched a bit. Got to know about drawing tablets, bought the cheapest one, and started experimenting. Before I knew it, I was already obsessed with making cartoons."
I grow several cacti indoors and I love this refrence lmao
Load More Replies..."The most difficult part for me is probably the sketching phase. A blank canvas can be intimidating. It can be sometimes difficult to put down what is in your head onto the canvas," said Adarsh when asked about the difficulties of creating art.
I want to do that. Buy an ice cream cone stick it on my head scream I’m a unicorn then run off.
Binge eats for a week and the scene starts again… THATS why I love the moon so much lol
"I try to make funny and wholesome comics. Topics can range from something lighthearted to more serious themes like depression, self-love, anxiety, etc." Adarsh described his stylistic as "big eyes, bold lines, and bright colors!"
Blah (you are definitely the right kind of people)

It must’ve gotten physical over food. His neck looks cracked....... must has food
"I started creating the comics seriously in 2019 and I plan to do this as long as I can. What inspires me to move forward is knowing that people like my comics and also because I thoroughly enjoy making them."
Adarsh gives advice to people who want to start creating comics themselves: "I'd advise them to just start doing it. You don't need any fancy equipment. Even pencil and paper works amazingly well! Don't let equipment be a barrier."
Yep, but with me, it was the neighbour's dog. German Shepherd suffers from separation anxiety and starts barking as soon as she leaves for work - pre-7:00am.
Load More Replies...Adarsh told us more about himself, his life, and his journey: "I grew up in Mumbai. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in geology along with freelancing as an artist. At the moment, it is tough handling my studies, my page, client work, and personal life. I started making these comics during one of the worst phases in my life but it's gotten a lot better lately. Future goals are bettering myself and self-love."
I don't know why everyone is getting all bent out of shape by whether the ice creams are supposed to represent genders or not. The first thing I noticed was the first date had extra toppings (ie. dressed to impress), but by the 128th date, they were comfortable enough with each other to just go with what they liked, even if that was just plain and simple. (Not everything is about genders people!)
they could both be boys or girls so who knows AND DON'T YELL AT THE ICE CREAM IF IT IS BOTH BOYS OR GIRLS

It does rotate but at a speed that makes it face the Earth with the same side all the time, it's called synchronous rotation. But yeah, you are right, the picture also triggered this "you must be fun at parties" response in me. :D

They're different coins. The one with the mustache is the wife's new boss.
Load More Replies...Waittt.....Sorry, but wouldn't it make more sense if the leaves started ORANGE , and ended up GREEN, considering leaves are Green in the Summer, and Orange in Fall?
No, the sun shivers a leaf from green to brown/ orange

Load More Replies...It most certainly isn't. you can't just flip it on or off. especially if you have depression.
Load More Replies...Heyyy there! it’s me the artist of these comics. Sometimes I might get so obsessed with the ideas that I fail to see the drawbacks in a particular comic. You all made amazing points. I am so glad you pointed out the flaw in this one. Makes for a very healthy discussion. When I made this I was thinking about letting some things go that tend to burden you in life. I’ll try playing around with this idea and creating something entirely different! Y’all are amazing!
I will fight with anyone who repeats this ignorant drivel. This sort of forceful optimism perpetuates harmful attitudes toward mental illness and stops people from getting the aid they need. Even "high" moods in Bipolar disorder don't necessarily include happiness; they can also be irritability or rage. Like the rage you've given me by making me read this s**t.
I love these so much. They're freaking adorable but clever as well. I would love to see more from this artist.
