‘Lazy Leaf Comics’: 29 New Comics Featuring Animals, Planets, And Other Objects

Bored Panda reached out to Adarsh to ask him some questions about his recent comics. We were wondering how his art style evolved over time, and what factors influenced these changes. The author of “Lazy Leaf Comics” shared with us: “There have been a lot of variations in my art style over time as I learn new things. I am still learning and practicing each day to get better and reach the level of my favorite artists.”

Asked about favorite tools or software that the artist uses for creating his comics, Adarsh answered: “I use Clip Studio Paint on my laptop and a Wacom tablet to create most of my comics and animations. These days, though, I have been doing a lot of my drawings on my iPad using Procreate. So I usually switch between devices depending on the purpose.”

We wanted to find out what, in the illustrator’s opinion, are some of the most rewarding aspects of being a comic artist. We found out: “The most rewarding aspect of making comics is that it allows me to tell any story that I imagine. It’s like bringing all your crazy ideas into the real world which others can also read and interact with.”

Lastly, we asked Adarsh about a dream project or collaboration that he hopes to undertake in the future. The artist told us: “I am working on a series of comics and animated videos where my characters explore science-based topics and put them out in sort of a fun storytelling way which would be enjoyed by both kids and adults. I did a PhD before I started making comics. Currently, there is a lot of misinformation on the internet. So I have always wanted to make science content which is not only fun but also based on authentic research.”
