30 Times People Were Trying Too Hard To Look Cool With Their ‘Badass’ T-Shirts
Out of all types of cringe-worthy material, the "badass guy/girl" trope is one of the worst. Some people really feel the need to let the world know how much of a badass they are as they use guns/drugs/have tattoos/are anti-liberal or are just plain mean. However, such attempts at bad-assery are usually cringe-worthy rather than cool to all those around such people. Here, we made a list of all the laughable attempts at trying to appear cool and edgy. Prepare for some cringing, then scroll down below and leave a vote for those that made you laugh (or cringe).

"The dumbest thing you can possibly do is piss off my wife. She will open the gates of hell and escort your a** right on in. And she will do it with a smile on her face"
"Pastor. Because hardcore devil stomping ninja isn't an official job title"
"Hey snowflake, in the real world you don't get a participation trophy, not everybody is a winner, no one owes you anything, screaming doesn't make you right, sometimes you actually lose, crying doesn't solve problems, nothing is free in this world, people are going to say things that you don't like and you are not special!"
"As a September guy, I'm the kind of friend who will help you hide a dead body, but if you betray me just remember I know how to hide a dead body"
Don’t understand the September guy part, but I think it’s a funny shirt otherwise
"I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone else's blood and I have no problem with going out the same way"
"I have been the kind of man that when my feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says 'oh crap, he's up!'"
"If this flag offends you, I'll help you pack"
How is this racist? I don't see a race being mentioned. I have seen "white" people offended by our flag.
Load More Replies...Small minded people seem to allow their heads and hearts to fill up with symbolism to the point where it crowds out the substance. Symbols are easy to digest, flags easy to just wave about. Looks like this gentleman was able to squeeze in pledging his allegiance to the flag, which is fine, but was forced to stop right there when the rest of it wouldn’t fit. The part about allegiance to the Republic for which it stands ... with liberty and justice FOR ALL got squeezed out. It’s our nation, it’s flesh-and-blood citizens and our Constitution to which we pledge our commitment and devotion, not a flag decal on a t-shirt. Ugly drapes and hideous Christmas sweaters sometimes offend me, but never the United States flag.
These guys ALWAYS lie about c**p like this. The flag is a symbol of this country. This country is being led by a 5-time draft dodger, 6-time bankrupt traitor who attacks the disabled and dead soldiers, tells outrageous lies even about stuff that's ON VIDEO, is such a wuss he NEVER owns up, can't admit the tiniest mistake because he's the biggest weenie on the world, and he appeals to other thin-skinned dewedz like this, who are terrified of criticism and reality. They wrap themselves up in the flag----not the Constitution, mind you----because they think by doing so, it'll protect them from big ole meanie liberals-----you know, the people who DON'T call the press "the enemy of the people." Dudes like this rant and scream about the flag, but never the Constitution. Ten bucks says this guy has stars-and-stripes underwear or manpris---in violation of the flag code-----and at least one Confederate flag that he swears is "heritege, not hate."
I agree, especially the people who sew the American flag to a back pocket on their jeans, and then sit their asses down on top of it.
Load More Replies...OOOOhh..in light of what's going on right now, that is not cool..we're all immigrants, unless you're a native American..
We're not offended by the flag, we're offended by the s**t people think is okay to do in the name of the flag. Btw, if you really knew how to respect the flag, you'd know it shouldn't be on your shirt.
OMGah such a made up thing-who is so offended by a flag? No one. Offended by ignorant a******s maybe but not a flag.
It's a tshirt with a catchy saying for some, but it doesn't mean he's racist. Seriously labeling and stereotyping, only leads to more of it.
Obviously offending the Orange Turd, then. The Stars and Stripes stands for the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Exactly what he does NOT want every individual to have.
I know. They also seem to think the flag only sides with their beliefs and not ya know all the people that disagree with them that are Americans.
Load More Replies...This tshirt is not offensive. The guy is even nice enough to offer help packing! But seriously, I support the message. I cannot imagine someone coming to my country and being "offended" by our flag. I wouldn't even think about feeling "offended" if I saw some country's flag while I am/I live in that country. And yes, if someone comes complaining that on our independence day we march with flags and it "hurts their feelings" or some other bs, I will personally offer help in packing. To be proud of your country and showing it does not mean to be racist. There must be the line people should not cross. If you feel it's right to burn the flag of the country that you are a guest in, you do not deserve to be there.
Name anyone who is offended by the flag though. People who are offended are just offended by the racists and republicans and such. If anything they are offended by conservatives who use the flag to spread hate. Not the same as hating the flag. Nobody hates the flag. Even if they burn it.
Load More Replies...So all the population of the States must leave immediately,as the only REAL AMERICANS ARE THE AMERICA INDIANS. By by Trump and all his crew. Send back to their mother land all the English, Irish, French, Spanish, well just everybody not of America Natives. Let’s go back to the roots !
You don’t have to be racist to love your country. We have people here in Oz who run the country down, well, if it offends you so much, I am sure there is another country more suited that would welcome them in with open arms.
No but you have to care about your country and the people in it to love your country. If you think you’re supposed to run away at the sight of any problems, I suggest moving to a weaker country that suits that view. And never getting married. Or having kids. Or a job.
Load More Replies...it's fantastic how they just out themselves now...no need to waste time talking to someone or trying to get to know someone...you see some hateful garbage in a ridiculous font draped across a dad bod and you can say "OK, don't need to waste any time on you, byeeee"...
P.s any wearing of the flag is technically defacing it.....just so ya know.
Load More Replies...The irony is these people are obsessed with the constitutional right to form a militia to rise up against the government. Which I guess you could symbolize the flag as more than the government. But I doubt the government would see it that way. The south tried to leave and wasn’t allowed to and lost a war trying.
funny thing....a lot of the folks that can't stand disrespect of the flag are usually showing it disrespect since it states in the the US Code that the flag should not adorn clothing, any receptacle, etc
The message on his shirt is mainly addressed to the people who complain about our Country all the time and disrespect the flag by stepping on it, etc. If you want to complain and hate it so much here, go somewhere else. It’s pretty simple!
Why though? That doesn’t apply to anything. You don’t just throw your car away because it breaks down. You fix it. Your view is extremely unpatriotic
Load More Replies...Hey buddy, we'll help YOU pack. Your intolerance isn't welcome in America.
People like these make me want to pack and go. Maybe I will recruit him...
I like his little purse...all purpose, goes with anything, right on point. That's style, baby.
I agree. If you are offended by our flag and our country, leave.
Who is offended by it though? Are you equating fixing issues with hating the flag?
Load More Replies...Does anyone claiming racism here know what “prejudice” means? Its a preconceived opinion about someone with no knowledge of the person. Why perpetually incite anger and hatred? You want to live angry?
He can stay in America and be proud of the flag. He has the constitutional freedom to wear this shirt. He already is expressing his "right to bear arms". Just drop him off somewhere in the middle of Death Valley, so he doesn't offend anyone
Patriotism is when you think that one country is the best in the world because YOU were born it.
Isn’t that nationalism? Patriotism is when you love the country anyway.
Load More Replies...I don't see this 1 as being racist,as it doesn't assume anybody is of a different race or from a different country
This actually relatively innocuous when you think about it. No threats of death or bodily harm, no list of weapons he owns, etc.
Christ, why is this flag any better than any other flag? Who actually gives a F*£k?
it isn't the flag that offends me...it you that is offensive. How about we help you pack so you can find some place whiter than where you're at
Did Bored Panda ever claim this was "racist"? If so, where? The headline is that they are "cringey", I don't see a word about it being "racist".....

Basically, you could replace the text to any of these with "I'm such an insecure tw*t, I need validation from a T-shirt"
Why do I have a gut instinct that the vast majority of these dudes has been to or planned to attend a Trump rally?
The proud nationalism, false-confidence, false-bravado, and the toxic masculinity, maybe...?
Load More Replies...Wow, how insecure can people be in the US... I mean, it probably looked manly and cool 20 years ago. "Look at me, I'm strong and you're weak!". Pathetic...
Wasn’t the born in July, love my country shirt showing the flag of Australia, not the US?
Load More Replies...The actual people I've known who, if they thought they had to, would simply light. your. a*s. up?! You'd never see them coming. And they don't wear t-shirts crowing about it.
I know grannies who would eat these guys for breakfast, spit out the bones and use them to start the barbecue that night.
Load More Replies...Some of these are funny. You guys are just roasting the heck out of all of these people. Respect the right to wear whatever someone wants to wear as long as it's not hate speech. Most of these shirts aren't hate speech. One was saying that he was a pastor. Another said that his wife will get really mad if you p**s her off. Don't fight hate with hate. It never works
Man I agree, I thought the article would be entertaining but the comments just ruined it for me. The comments are criticizing the person not the shirt and that's just mean. To call a person racist solely because they are wearing a goofy novelty t-shirt...people should calm down. There are larger fish to fry in America than people buying household items from Walmart in their PJs.
Load More Replies...it's a shirt, the only people trying too hard to look badass are a majority of the commenters in this thread. Good thing it wasn't a hat.
These type of shirts are the dress code for white trash. No other respectable person wears this nonsense.
What's up with all this aggression? Ever heard of modesty, decency? Culture? Humanism?
This is exactly what 'toxic masculinity' is about. The poor souls who think that this is the way they should appear and how they should act.
Load More Replies...I have the feeling that 95% of the guys on here voted for Trump, which just ups the cringe factor.
Why so serious? Some of them are stupid and offensive but some are really funny.
It's weird how much all of these people resemble each other and dress alike. I've never seen so many camo hats!
Most of them old, unattractive, and look like they haven't had a bath or haircut in a while. Or extremely young and immature. Almost all of them in ill-fitting jeans.
Load More Replies...Yup. Projection. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Deep insecurity.
Load More Replies...~30% of the USA really lives in a very limited black and white world full of dangers to their "freedom", brainwashed to the point of storming a pizza restaurant "to save the kids from paedophiles organized by HIllary Clinton". It's not just a mental issue anymore, it's not just a few crazy guys, there's a whole industry built around it. Making money with paranoid crazy idiots. They're doing the same as that post about "why do people get angry when I speak about the word of god" or something, make yourself ridiculous to normal people, get on their nerves then get offended when they get angry, then go back to your buddies and complain of how impolite the normals are, cult-tactics.
I bought a shirt once that said, "I like girls that like girls" being that I hung out with mostly lesbians after work at my former job. Wore it one day to a friend's house. Her sister was coming to pick her up for a holiday road trip. My first time meeting her, and I didn't know she was a lesbian until five minutes before her arrival. She loved the shirt and giggled when I informed her I didn't wear it on purpose, it was just the closet thing in my dresser drawer.
According to the US Flag Code "The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. The flag should never be used for advertisements" (the Code is a meaningless list of "proper" ways to use and/or display it. There are no penalties for ignoring it)
The first ones were funny (no surprise, as they're the ones that got upvoted) but here's what I learned from the other 30: the vast majority of a******s loudly declaring their assholery prefer to do it on the BACK of their shirt. Perhaps so they don't have to look anybody in the face? Or risk the consequences of everyone knowing what sort of person you are BEFORE you leave the room?
The people wearing these shirts seem to want to live in a lawless dystopian nightmare world where they can attack, assault, shoot, and murder at the drop of a hat, without consequence. All the f*****g paranoid and insecure aggression... Half way though this thread, I was utterly fatigued looking at all the whiny jerkoffs with their shirt-messages of outward projection of deep personal issues. The clumsy aggression to hide their painful insecurities and paranoia of the world and the people around them... Holy fuckballs.
All of these, are t shirt made for 11 to 17 years old teenagers. Because thats the age when you are insecure with your identity
Then why are so many of them being worn by middle-aged fat white guys?
Load More Replies...Dumbfucks like these douche waffles, are more damn common than we'd like to admit.
I see a lot of these at work. I also have a customer who always tells me liberal bashing jokes. Doesn't offend me but I also don't need to complain about it or chew him out. I just smile and go about my day. Personally, I feel that if you have to publically display these, you're a pretty fragile snowflake yourself.
i am convinced there is one manufacturer out there making a killing supplying "badass" tshirts to these dudes (who look suspiciously alike). also, they're assuming the people who find these funny/edgy can read.
I wanted to say that most of these guys are obviously primitive insecure retrogrades, but not even the uneducated unenlightened cave men would have wanted anything to do with them
Has anyone ever read one of these shirts in real life and not rolled their eyes? What is up with people proudly proclaiming that they are so childish that any disagreement will result in them having a violent outburst? Some people said they think some of the shirts are funny but to me they are that level of cringe when you watch an adult behave like an infant. Toddlers have a natural reaction of violence, adults should have a bit more control over themselves than their child does. Wear what you want if you think it is funny. I just don't see why a lack of self control and hysterical violent outburst are seen as macho or funny to begin with.
I like the one with the faux Confederate flag (yeah, that's not it). Notice this brave guy hides his face and obviously doesn't know history. you lost Bubba.
The amount of these long winded t shirts with super specific titles just screams "I bought this off a Facebook ad"
This whole post, well most of it is nothing but hate speech, misogyny, and how I'm going to kill someone. I wish it were cocktail time, because I need one!

What strikes me as odd, is the fact that A) most of the guys wearing these shirts are obese (or to skinny to pose a worthwhile threat), and B) aren't brave enough to show these offensive texts while looking you in the eye
So many of these shirts are a whole paragraph long. Why not just abbreviate it and say "I have a tiny penis"?
Fully formed adults that feel the need to aggressively announce who they are with a t-shirt were most likely teenagers who did things for the sole purpose of drawing attention, then yelled at people for looking.
I think I pulled a muscle around my eye sockets from all eye rolling I did 😵 sheesh....calm down folks!
Lol all the shirts were just black+"badass" font+ skull and/or wolf. So predictable haha
Beware the owners of those t-shirts, you can boring to death with them ...
