30 Times People Were Trying Too Hard To Look Cool With Their ‘Badass’ T-Shirts
193Kviews
Out of all types of cringe-worthy material, the "badass guy/girl" trope is one of the worst. Some people really feel the need to let the world know how much of a badass they are as they use guns/drugs/have tattoos/are anti-liberal or are just plain mean. However, such attempts at bad-assery are usually cringe-worthy rather than cool to all those around such people. Here, we made a list of all the laughable attempts at trying to appear cool and edgy. Prepare for some cringing, then scroll down below and leave a vote for those that made you laugh (or cringe).

"The dumbest thing you can possibly do is piss off my wife. She will open the gates of hell and escort your a** right on in. And she will do it with a smile on her face"
"Pastor. Because hardcore devil stomping ninja isn't an official job title"
"Hey snowflake, in the real world you don't get a participation trophy, not everybody is a winner, no one owes you anything, screaming doesn't make you right, sometimes you actually lose, crying doesn't solve problems, nothing is free in this world, people are going to say things that you don't like and you are not special!"
I got a feeling this dude doesn't take criticism well.
Load More Replies...Of course he’s definitely the same type of guy who is wearing that shirt because he’s upset that he can’t be a misogynist, racist, homophobe in public because people will rightfully call him out on that shit.
Exactly. Assholes like this think that “freedom” means “no consequences for being an unethical asshole”.
Load More Replies...Gnagnagna *yawn* Are they not tired of transferring their insecurities to others?
Of course everyone is special. We're each a bit of the universe that's conscious of itself for a short period of time, irrespective of any personal philosophy of life. Think about how you're going to spend that time, is all I'll say.
These are the same people who go apeshit when their kid loses at peewee soccer
Oh look, another insecure tough guy who thinks being an aggressive jerk-ass is somehow going to make him look powerful and confident. He probably thinks that “freedom” means “no consequences for being an unethical asshole”, and resents anyone who aims to make society more equitable.
Actually, it is incredibly inaccurate. There are plenty of times where you will get something for free (I have), someone WILL owe you something if you perform a service for them, and there are a myriad of people who are, in fact, quite special.
Load More Replies...When is that participation trophy gripe going to end? When will people realize that the recipients of those trophies weren't the ones who decided to give them out, but rather the older generation?
Did people ever actually get participation trophies? I know I'm at the older end of 'millennial' but I don't remember them being a thing.
Load More Replies...Exactly. They’re just as snowflakey when it comes to their dogdamned religion. They expect people to hold their christian shit in some special regard, when it’s just another cult like all the rest.
Load More Replies...People don't understand Liberalism at all. Liberal: I believe it should be our duty to defend human rights and social equality above everything else. Conservative: Fuck "the left" their all a load of snowflakes who hate everyone! Why don't you love your country you fucking communist! Liberal: Because that usually means hating minorities especially when they aren't from my country. Conservative: Shut the fuck up you libtard. Liberal: No, you shut the fuck up. Conservative: No thanks, I believe in free speech! Liberal: What do you think of lgbt pride? Conservative: It's wrong and we should ban it. Liberal: Lol Conservative: Snowflake!
This conservative dude bro apparently thinks his extremely verbose shirt is clever and that his opinion is the symbol of America. It’s not.
No, a truly CONFIDENT guy doesn’t need to advertise it. Tough guys are insecure pricks.
Load More Replies...Yet so perturbed he has to wear a T shirt about it.... who's the one whose feelings are hurt?
Why do I get the feeling that he doesn't get the "screaming doesn't make you right one" ?...
"People are going to say things you don't like..." Seems to me he needs to remember that, too.
And...usually the first ones to whine when something doesn't go their way...
talking about snowflakes and it has an american flag on it...oh the irony=)))
I guess I am really confused about this losers getting trophys part. It must only be in certain parts of the country because i dont see kids in my area getting participation trophy's and if they did why would anyone think that only kids of liberal parents are the ones getting them.
This is why I don't like American, it only takes one idiot to rub of on all. When will they wake up.
If you would take away the flags and change the last sentence to "Everybody is just as special as you", I find myself not cringing at all.
That's the point! Most snowflakes respond only to emotional replies and not to logic. The rant above attempts to emulate the emotional screaming and gnashing of teeth of the typical spoiled snowflake. The really extreme ones even go so far as to say that all the sciences (including logic and the scientific method) is inheritantly racist and is NOT a valid way to discuss social matters. This is the reason Ben Shapiro likes the say to his snowflake detractors, "Science doesn't care about your feelings."
Brevity is the key to communication. Wit is subjective. This is merely a collection of sentiments.
I don't think I've ever said "TL; DR" to a T shirt before... so, uh, thanks for that, fella.
This idea becoming provably untrue... what does this guy think happens when "snowflakes" come into position as of power and start running things how they want it ran??
All of this should be general knowledge but I also feel like this is the same person that brags about being honest but is just an asshole. And why does the shirt need the flags? Might as well add some guns and trucks to it too
Well the sad thing here is that not enough people were ever told this. The shirt is loud, and I wouldn't wear it, but it's kinda awesome at the same time.
Just change "snowflake" for WHITE STRAIGHT MAN. Oh, and crying for GUNS, and it's a perfect t-shirt.
You really think those on the Right are any different? They were burning their Nikes and destroying coffee makers because those companies said "things they dont like" for pete's sake!! Fox News is constantly crying about people saying mean things about Christians or conservatives....those critics ALSO have a "right to say things"...but somehow you dont call out ALL the conservative whining, hand wringing and pearl clutching over petty crap. Interesting.
Load More Replies..."As a September guy, I'm the kind of friend who will help you hide a dead body, but if you betray me just remember I know how to hide a dead body"
Don’t understand the September guy part, but I think it’s a funny shirt otherwise
"I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone else's blood and I have no problem with going out the same way"
"I have been the kind of man that when my feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says 'oh crap, he's up!'"
"I may seem quiet and reserved but if you mess with me while I'm bowling, I will break out a level of crazy that will make your nightmares seem like a happy place"
"Beware: I ride horses, which means I own pitchforks, have the strength to haul hay and have the guts to scream at a half ton animal after being kicked. You will not be a problem"
"Oh, you ran a marathon? That's so cute! Maybe when you grow up your mommy will let you do the rest of the race!"
"Only God can decide if terrorists are right or wrong. It's our job to arrange the meeting"
"Do I look like someone who cares what God thinks?"
"I am an asshole man: I love freedom, drink beer and love my wife. I protect my family, I eat meat and have tattoos. If you don't like it - move"
"I didn't serve this country for pussies to tell me that I should be politically correct"
A gun doesn’t make you brave. You’re just a coward who’s holding a weapon.
"I have three sides: the quiet side, the fun and crazy side, the side you never want to see"
"As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil , for I am the baddest motherf***er in the valley"
"Peace is not my profession - it's yours. War is my profession. Should you fail at your job, I will not fail at mine"
Clearly anyone can join the military. Even trigger happy psychopaths
"I am 10 times the asshole you could ever hope to be. Now run along"
"There are a lot of people in the world to mess with, I'm the one you may wanna skip"
"Obama can't ban these guns"
"Forklift operator. My sense of humor may hurt your feelings or offend you. I suggest you buckle up, buttercup! I change for no one"
"Never, and I mean never, mess with 4-H kids, because in 4-H we are a family... and if you mess with the family you better run"
"Cool story, babe. Now make me a sandwich"

Woah there 'Murica! You seem aggressive, do you need a hug?
They're just hangry. They need a Snickers.
Make it deep fried and wrapped in bacon. Only then will the murica beast be calmed
I think the last thing most of those people need is a Snickers
No! These guys spend too much time eating refined carbs...their brains are shrunk
C'mon guys, we're not all like that. Most of 'Merica is laughing at them too.
The problem with this type of messages on t-shirts is that it legitimizes rather extreme ideas and tries to bring them into the mainstream so as to become normalized. Normalized hate is BAD.
Nah...they're just a guideline to show you who to avoid. Let's face it, these dumbasses are the people we'll all cross the street to stay away from.
why does sweden incarcerate man who beat up other men that were molesting women on the streets...aka asap rocky?
Yeah, that's not what happened.
Maybe it's from all the uninformed generalizations.
Please don't group us...we don't like them any more than you do

Then they weren’t talking about you lol. I’m American and I joined in.

Those 40 people do seem aggressive. The other 339,999,960 of us.... aren't so much.

I think you'll find about 150 million of them are.

They need jobs and diet plans. And vitamin D.

Just what I thought haha. Muricaaa fuck yeaah. Manly men.
Basically, you could replace the text to any of these with "I'm such an insecure tw*t, I need validation from a T-shirt"
Amen
Why do I have a gut instinct that the vast majority of these dudes has been to or planned to attend a Trump rally?
The proud nationalism, false-confidence, false-bravado, and the toxic masculinity, maybe...?
Proud nationalism isn't bad, only liberals are saying this. I mean being proud to be american is ok, hating others because they are different us the bad thing. Nationalism is good if not turned into chauvinism.
They might WANT to go, but they'd probably get lost on the way there.

So? What's wrong with supporting our country and our constitutional rights? Assuming you are talking about the shirts that involve the US and guns.
Wow, how insecure can people be in the US... I mean, it probably looked manly and cool 20 years ago. "Look at me, I'm strong and you're weak!". Pathetic...
Wasn’t the born in July, love my country shirt showing the flag of Australia, not the US?
Yes, you’re correct. The Aussies do try very hard to be just like the US though. Not sure if it’s deliberate.
The actual people I've known who, if they thought they had to, would simply light. your. ass. up?! You'd never see them coming. And they don't wear t-shirts crowing about it.
I know grannies who would eat these guys for breakfast, spit out the bones and use them to start the barbecue that night.
Some of these are funny. You guys are just roasting the heck out of all of these people. Respect the right to wear whatever someone wants to wear as long as it's not hate speech. Most of these shirts aren't hate speech. One was saying that he was a pastor. Another said that his wife will get really mad if you piss her off. Don't fight hate with hate. It never works
Man I agree, I thought the article would be entertaining but the comments just ruined it for me. The comments are criticizing the person not the shirt and that's just mean. To call a person racist solely because they are wearing a goofy novelty t-shirt...people should calm down. There are larger fish to fry in America than people buying household items from Walmart in their PJs.

Roasting people isn’t hate speech. Respect the right of people to say whatever they want as long as it isn’t hate speech. Most of these comments aren’t hate speech. Don’t fight hate with hate.
it's a shirt, the only people trying too hard to look badass are a majority of the commenters in this thread. Good thing it wasn't a hat.
These type of shirts are the dress code for white trash. No other respectable person wears this nonsense.
You haven't seen left wing humor on t shirts.
Examples? Would love to see some “left wing humor[sic] on t shirts”.
Gotcha! We left-wingers HAVE no humor!
What's up with all this aggression? Ever heard of modesty, decency? Culture? Humanism?
This is exactly what 'toxic masculinity' is about. The poor souls who think that this is the way they should appear and how they should act.
Aggression is so deeply ingrained in the US that it took me a few seconds to realize the truth of your comment, Mimi. No wonder seeing men wearing tees about animal and nature conservancy always surprise me.
They are fearful.

Or simply good taste? :-)
I have the feeling that 95% of the guys on here voted for Trump, which just ups the cringe factor.
Why so serious? Some of them are stupid and offensive but some are really funny.
Have yet to see a real ‘funny’ one.
July88, American humor is as varied as our population, buth these are just insecurity on parade.
There’s nothing funny here. Unless you find a parade of insecure hostility and toxic masculinity to be funny.
It's weird how much all of these people resemble each other and dress alike. I've never seen so many camo hats!
Most of them old, unattractive, and look like they haven't had a bath or haircut in a while. Or extremely young and immature. Almost all of them in ill-fitting jeans.

Purchased at the same store where they bought the shirt.
What I notice about these is that they seem to think things like "being born in July" or "loving my family" are what make people angry. No, no, it's just you being an unreasonable asshole. Which isn't a thing to be proud of, by the way.
Real men don't need warnings on their 3x tee shirts.

Meh. No true Scotsman fallacy. There’s no such thing as a “real man”. Maybe you meant “truly confident men don’t need warnings on their 3X T-shirts”... because these jackasses are a parade of insecurity.
Yes, truly confident works better. Somewhere, there's a company making a whole lot of money off these insecure people.

Just because none of them will talk to you doesn't mean they don't exist.
WTF.....get a sense of humor!!
Methinks they do protest too much.
Yup. Projection. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Deep insecurity.

Methinks most replies protest too much. Talk about your insecure types. What kind of person projects their own fears onto someone else's "self expression" (even if it's stupid self-expression) and calls that aggression?
I bought a shirt once that said, "I like girls that like girls" being that I hung out with mostly lesbians after work at my former job. Wore it one day to a friend's house. Her sister was coming to pick her up for a holiday road trip. My first time meeting her, and I didn't know she was a lesbian until five minutes before her arrival. She loved the shirt and giggled when I informed her I didn't wear it on purpose, it was just the closet thing in my dresser drawer.
At least you agreed on something.
That's beautiful. I bet that made her day
