28 Comics Highlighting The Differences Between Asian And Western Cultures By This Artist
Interview With ArtistWe’re excited to introduce a new artist just beginning to unveil her wings in the comic world. Her series, ‘Asian and Redhead,’ draws inspiration from the everyday experiences she encounters in her own life. The short stories depicted in the strips highlight the diversity between Asia and the West. The cartoonist, who is married to an American man—the titular Redhead—describes some of the most common misconceptions and differences between both cultures.

It should be year, month, day. You put the values that change the least on the left, followed by the values that change more and more frequently farther and father to the right. This is how we display clock time and nearly all other measurements (ie: 5' 7"), plus it sorts better in a list.
There are 2 equally logical orders: from the general to the specific, and from the specific to the general. So DMY and YMD both make sense. But the month must be in the middle.

Actually FH his more accurate since it has more markers and it's not just US that acknowledges that.
Load More Replies...My first young adult books were Agatha Christie. I learned the British spellings of the words before the American one. Teachers still marked it wrong, even when I showed them "but that's how it's spelled in my book!" Have been out of school for decades and still spell them "wrong" more often than not.
When asked what inspired her to start creating her comic, Flora answered: “Being in a mixed couple (Asian and American) leads to lots of funny cultural differences and marriage couple memes.”
Here in Sweden I winder the heck the humans is thinking that can take away their McDonald's trash, but choose doesn't. Or even worse, those that throw it along the road, from the car.
MOST of us are taught manners and part of that is cleaning up after yourself and making things easier for people when you can. Another is trying to leave things better than when you got there. Or close to it. Always round up the towels and such at a hotel and condense the trash where they can see it easily Gather your trash at the table and wipe the table down so either full or half buss it depending on type of restaurant And going to parks or outdoor activities if you see trash take it with you on the way out It's about making it nicer for the next person and making someone's job a little easier
Perhaps the difference is because there are staff employed purely for cleaning up tables. Customers taking their own rubbish to the bin means they could lose their jobs. I was in a quality restaurant in Shenzhen many years ago and we had bottled water at our table. I went to top up my glass but my companion held my hand and said no, there are staff employed to do that. If the boss saw me doing that they would get reprimanded.
It depends on where you go. In Spain, usually you don't have to do anything when you out to eat. That's one of the reasons I go out to eat.
Life is not a race or a competition. The only race you are racing is against your total ovum count.
We wanted to learn more about the recurring themes in her strip, and the artist kindly shared: “Another source of inspiration comes from my Western friends and their perspectives versus my own perceptions. My experience living in the US as an immigrant also highlights cultural differences.”
I'm also very lactose intolerant. But 22.000 IE lactase tablets give me the superpowers to digest even ice cream 🤤
Yup! I’m sensitive to lactose as well, so stick with goat or sheep’s milk, raw dairy, or lactose -free dairy!
I will eat infinite lychees now. I want a built-in FLAMETHROWER! XD
What if you could torches injected into your bloodstream then? Will you have fire powers?
Flora continued, pointing out additional topics featured in her comics: “My husband’s experience living in Hong Kong and how he sees things differently.”
She also mentioned: “Travel stories—some travel memories from our one-year trip around South America, Europe, and a cruise.”
Finally, Flora shared her hope: “I aim to capture these stories and share them with others to evoke feelings of fun, relatability, and travel inspiration. I want to offer an Asian perspective and maybe make someone think, ‘Oh, I’ve felt that way before.’”
That's our indigestion and diarrhea medicine all in one. Unfortunately, there are those who forget the fact that they are supposed to gulp the whole bottle, not just one tiny pill.
This one confuses me. Did OP think that the mother-in-law froze the leftovers to be mean and then OP froze MIL's candies in retaliation? Am I misunderstanding something? It seems like MIL froze the leftovers to keep them fresh and didn't know OP was going to come back and eat more later but OP doesn't do things that way so thought MIL was being rude and decided to freeze MIL's candies as "payback".
Frozen isn't fresh, or convenient to eat. Leave other people's food alone
