That's not very funny IMHO, especially considering the fact that trans rights are backsliding rn. I'm not saying she's transphobic, but I am saying the joke was (in my opinion). (I myself AM trans) Are we really going into 2026 with an unoriginal trans joke. At least come up with some new ones ffs, if 1980s playboy could do it, you can.

No no… the word is transphobia. And you should stop treating comedians as doctors or anthropologists. Often they are just rich bullies.

Ok so I'm going to explain why this is transphobic (because people think that this is just a harmless joke and it is not). This is transphobic because by saying "we can meet men in women bathrooms" she's talking about trans women, and by extension she's saying that trans women are men, which is misgendering and misgendering someone match the definition of transphobia. Also saying that "joke" today, when a lot of trans AND cis women are under public scrutiny when entering a bathroom, is making fun of the struggle that it is to be a woman in today's society (and I mean trans and cis women because when transphobia rise it hurts both trans women and cis women who don't align with the classic perception of femininity).

I caught COVID in 2021 & was very ill. Our GP prescribed Paxlovid via a telehealth call & my wife drove to the nearest pharmacy that had it in stock. 2 days later, my wife had COVID & our GP prescribed the same medication for her but this time we were both too ill to drive to the pharmacy. I rang a taxi driver who had driven us 5 or 6 times previously, explained the situation & he arranged for another driver to collect the medication & leave it on our front porch. The cost of the taxi fare would have been $35+ but neither driver would accept any payment even after we were COVID-free.
