The “Conservatives Getting Owned” X page has been around for a while now (since that auspicious year of 2020), and has accumulated an impressive 356 thousand followers. In this day and age, most of us know not to pick fights online. After all, there is no “winning” , just a battle to logging off in the mud.
This is perhaps why this page succeeds, as it does a vital job of showcasing the times where folks with questionable ideas had those same ideas obliterated by words. The idea of a person deciding to “report a crime” online no doubt came from pages like this. If that’s not enough, remember, there are all sorts of cases of people owning themselves.

About peed my pants when I read "intercontinental ballistic tweets". But I do remember hiding under the desk in school during the civil defense drills, and being told that the daily air raid siren test (which occurred at noon) was the "12 o'Clock whistle" to remind workers to go to lunch! Quite glad I didn't know the real reason until I was older. The fiction allowed me to grow up concentrating on just kid stuff, which may be why I'm mostly normal.
Yeah... I was born in '84 and the threat of nuclear morons has never gone away. We always had to worry about either someone getting ahold of a random Soviet nuke, dirty bomb, or American f**k up. And now we all get to continue to worry about that s**t thanks to morons like Putin

The Cold War lasted through all of the 1980s, and the collapse of the Soviet Union was not a “clean” end to it. And that’s not counting the nukes wielded by non-Soviet powers, such as China. So pretty much every millennial has lived under the same nuclear threat as the Boomers and Gen X. It hasn’t ever actually gone away.
Millennial here. Born in Germany a month before Chernobyl incident. Definitely grew up with nuclear threat. Not bombing but I don't get it. Did we get rid of nuclear power or bombs?

I am guessing this refers to the fear we had during the 50's, through to the 80's, about how nuclear war seemed ready to happen with no warning. Then comparing that to internet politics we have today.

We're getting to the point where having manners is "woke" because why be nice to people when you can be as rude as possible in the name of, I'm not sure what, patriotism or something? If some right wing podcaster decides it's a left wing thing to wear shoes, right wingers will stop wearing shoes. And then they'll look around and see that right wingers aren't wearing shoes while left wingers are, and that will cement wearing shoes as a left wing political statement.

i consider conservatives to be traitors to humanity. theres nothing good about any position they support. at all.
Take the 30 million and redesign an old school or hotel into housing units. People need a place to live NOT a study on their circumstances.
These kind of posts are so annoying. It seems like all that's on here now is negative reddit posts (cheating, bad bosses, etc), upsetting political c**p, and bashing of other people. I want more of the good stuff. The cute animal posts, interesting science facts, funny memes. There used to be more positive stuff on here
