Many parents who home-schooled, myself included, were interested in actually teaching our kids. I home-schooled my daughter in the 7th grade (because of a chronic medical issue), and our curriculum was much more intense than her public school's had been. We finished the biology text halfway through the year; her peers didn't even get halfway through the book. And I used my college anthology of poetry and short stories in my daughter's English class.

Neither of mine have been to school and they would never come out with this level of s,hit, nor would any of their friends (and one is now an adult). But I am in the UK I get the impression that home educating here is very different to the US.

This is a belief held by some that death did not occur until after "The Fall" from Genesis in the Christian Bible, and it was in fact Adam killing an animal. Some stories say the serpent, some say otherwise, but the idea is, man invented killing. We were taught, at my *Catholic* school, that this was very silly.

No, more like the American education system. I’m homeschooled and even if it was taught by an idiot they probably would have a better education then public school students because of curriculum. And there are a lot less religious nuts then you would think.

why the hell would you think this was from a homeschooler or a religious person? It's not like public schools offer a stunning education and there are plenty of incredibly intelligent religious people

This could be an example of homeschooling, but you'd be amazed (disgusted?) at the number of public school morons we pass thru each year. The US doesn't want its people educated because they lean Progressive.

My home schooling was BBC Bitesize during the first lockdown. When my class got sent home during the first year of high school, we had very annoying meetings with strict teachers who usually referred to us by the numbers on the end of our Teams names. So, nice to meet you! I'm 8472.
