Like a lot of comic artists, Alan started off by making comics for his coworkers for fun. After getting positive reactions, the artist thought of posting them online and that's how "A Slice of Alan" was born!

As you might have guessed, the protagonist of Alan's comics is modeled after the artist himself. "My hair is a little different now but this is the me I am in the comics."
The artist also shared that he's a perfectionist, so for him, it can take from 4 hours to one day to finish one comic.

Proposing at Comic-Con? Now THAT is how I wanna be asked! Screw the normal "romantic location surrounded by pretty things"! Nothing is more romantic, in my opinion, than being dressed up as your favourite characters (especially if they're a couple in the comics, games or other media) and being asked if you will marry them!

This is literally me with my family. I'd rather be playing guitar, fixing stuff, drawing, living alone in peace... Then they'll call me and say "Hey, we're going to (boring or stupid plan) and wanted to know if you want to join us? There'll be tonnes of snacks!" I'm an omnivert that's predominantly introverted, and my family are all extroverts... But food is my weakness, which they use to lure me.

From my understanding, the first girl is very strong and muscle, because she wanted to be. I go to gym, and a lot of women I have heard do not want to be absolutely jacked or look "masculine", so they do not choose to lift the heaviest weights or try to become massive as that is not how they want to be. Nothing is wrong with that of course, but girl in 2, 3, and 4 is offended because her lifestyle choice is to be stronger and muscle. Also in the final panel, she is lifting the guy artist of the comic, which i think is to show that the artist likes muscle women. I hope that helped and made sense with my poor English skills 😂

My husband told me that when he was about 10 years old, he went on a hunting trip with his dad, and he saw a tree that had these two big bumps on it, and he exclaimed, "Dad! Look at the girdle humps on that one!" (Being 10, he didn't really know the difference between a bra and a girdle.) So that tree became forever known as The Girdle Hump Tree.

I had a very similar event happen to me. My wife, her sister and I were tubing a river. My sis-in-law had popped out of her top on one side. I, thinking I was being helpful, said " hey! Your boob is out". Apparently, I was wrong, and you shouldn't mention it, as I got yelled at for "looking".
