Children have an extraordinary curiosity when it comes to understanding the world around them. Just pair that curiosity with their naturally occurring bluntness and innocence, and you'll realize how hilarious children actually are. While their observations and questions do make their parents want to disappear into thin air if the kids share them in public, it's best not to stop them from being curious, at least for entertainment value. And while children can have funny questions about just anything, religion is no exception, especially for those raised in Christian families. So when one teacher asked her 3rd-grade students to write letters to God, they posed him with some very interesting questions. While probably unintended to be funny, the kids provided some comedy-gold moments. So scroll below to read the letters.

Why do these all look incredibly fake to me? The penmanship, spelling, even some of the words used. I may be wrong, if so I do apologize.
Stay skeptical. I'm very skeptical myself, and I thought the same thing.
Load More Replies...I hope these were all from religious schools. And no I'm not athiest. I just don't think religion should be in school unless it's a class about all religions.
I think they're pretty phony myself!! These names haven't been used in 50 years! Such crappy work. Straight from the Brady Bunch...;-D
Pretty good guess. They are from a book published in the 70's. It would have been nice if proper credit had of been given to the source.
Load More Replies...Really depressing to see all for these kids being brainwashed. I think that Americans main problem is religion. Wake up people!
Again, what's with all the downvotes? If you guys would like, I have many points on why to believe in Christianity. However, lots of people don't, and I'll respect that. It's just that I don't understand why the pushing of atheism onto Christians is now seen as a good thing, when separation by religion is never good. Could someone enlighten me? I think this is a pretty important topic, and I would love to see other points on it!
Load More Replies...Everybody, this is from a book called Children's Letters to God. I read it at my grandparents' house in the 90s
Yep, you're right. I looked it up and it was published in 1991. I find it kinda satisfying that whether religious, atheist, or inbetween we've all been conned.
Load More Replies...Well hell, here I just thought they were funny for most part. Guess I should have taken the time to analyze the penmanship, spelling, morality, ethics, etc. I did get to enjoy them though.
Okay, I imagine raging atheists religiously bashing this whole article, but if you go beyond the religious topic, and just look at these questions, these kids surely have interesting ways of thinking going on there. This is really a psychology related article, I think.
I think that atheist sooner see the humor of these questions and the wonder of how a child's mind works than the religious fanatics, who have proven to lack any sense of humor.
Load More Replies...Nah, kids don't have these names anymore. Not a single Hayden or Jackson or Ava? Unless someone saved these from 1970 these are made up.
The book that they are from was originally published in 1966. I had it as a child in the 70's.

am i the only one who wonders if before god, everything was black lifeless, until god came and made everything. but if thats true, then where did god come from if space had no life and it was just a empty, lifeless, void?
You could ask the same exact question even without the religious motif.
Load More Replies...I feel like these are all fake. Lol the names? And a lot of them look like the same person wrote them but changed a few things.
I respect religion and culture but does anyone think these are a little bit too much for children? I really don't believe these were written by children and I'm sceptical how they are written...but hey no one will know
Pretty sure I remember most if not all of these from a book back in the 1970s.
Third graders believing in gods is a tragedy, not hilarious at all. It borders on child abuse to tell kids these lies and it could take them a lifetime to get over it.
Sorry, could someone please tell me what's with the downvotes? I don't get why people think of religion as lies, then try to force that onto others.
