All of us want to do good! And with all that's been happening in the past few years, every kind deed is more than welcomed, no matter how big or small.
From spying on your friend's Spotify to check on their emotional state to disrupting an anti-abortion protest, there are plenty of ways to let people know you care. Some even choose very chaotic ones. As if they're acting solely as their conscience directs them, without any concern for what others expect of them.
The subreddit r/chaoticgood is exactly the place for all of you do-gooders whose methods are a little disorganized. This online community with almost 180K members is the place for you to post your chaotic actions.

No, You Get Candy!
The moderators of this subreddit explain that chaotic good is a character that "values freedom, for herself and others, and views the welfare of all as her business. She cannot tolerate cruelty or intimidation, and works to dismantle hierarchy and domination.”
Like stealing another person's underfed dog in order to save its life. Or dressing up as the Grim Reaper to remind people that there's still a pandemic going on. These are only a few examples of how this community does the right thing with little regard for laws and regulations.
Absolute Dominance
One of the subreddit's main symbols -- its name -- is a clear reminder of a popular fantasy tabletop role-playing game called Dungeons and Dragons (commonly abbreviated as D&D or DnD). As the title suggests, it's a magical world of over 300 creatures like giants, dragons, warlocks, dwarves and many more.
First published in 1974, D&D has long been part of popular culture and still remains one of the best-selling games in the US. During its forty years of history, the developers have created captivating board and video games, also novels written by its fantasy authors.

"We Have Found A Witch, May We [applaud] Her?"
As stated in their official website, “The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more.“ In short, one player, the Dungeon Master, facilitates the game, controls the monsters and narrates the story. Others develop the characters and improvise on how they react to the story.

It's a great place to be anyone you want to be. Not to mention a perfect environment to discuss the concept of good and evil. Dungeons and Dragons even has an alignment system to help you create your little fantasy creatures. It also helps you categorize your character from an ethical and moral point of view.

Stealing A Person's Dog So It Can Actually Live
Well done, thank you for saving that good girl. Now if you could give me five minutes with the former owner/scumbag, I would be very grateful.
I adopted a dog years ago that was taken from people who were starving him and making him sleep on cold, wet pavement (he was a chihuahua). At first, the way he would act around food was heartbreaking. He'd look at me with hopelessness, fully expecting to be excluded. After a few months and until the day he died, he would get over the top excited to hear his bowl being filled three times a day and he'd go absolutely nuts over treat time. He died of old age with a full belly, in the comfort of his warm, soft bed, surrounded by his favorite toys (and people).
Best kind of theft. That poor dog, those f*****g scumbags deserve to be treated the same. See how they like it. Thank you for saving this doggy.
Sometimes, they might not be abusive and just overwhelmed.
Load More Replies...I've stolen... err.. I mean, I've liberated more than my fair share of animals from mistreatment. Geese, dogs, donkeys, a pony. You treat your animal bad and I know about it... Just count yourself lucky I don't put you down.
I did this with a neighbor's cat. Even told them about it. They didn't care.
My daughter did this years ago and I hid it until it took a trip on the” doggie underground “ railroad. No regrets
I stole a neighbor's cat that was living in their basement, eating from an opened can they would put out at the front steps. Gave him to a friend that got him his shots, cleaned up, and fixed. He lived a long, comfortable life as a pampered housecat, and the trashy neighbors never once asked me if I had seen him.
My daughter and I stole several baby Pitbulls from her neighbor who were left outside in the winter and turned them over to animal control to be rehomed. A few days later while visiting my other daughter at the hair salon she worked at I recounted the story. The client in her chair happened to be a city prosecuting attorney. She said, "Don't worry. No one would prosecute you for that." I said that I was glad because I'd 100% do it again.
My sister did this to her old neighbors cat, they left it outside before a hurricane was to hit the tampa area. So she ran outside in the middle of the night and scooped him up, never looked back
I did that one time and the dog actually ended up saving my mother-in-law's life. A true life Lassie story for real.
I love this! This is exactly how my dad found his dog. Barely alive, skin and bone, tied to a lamppost and full of worms. He took her home and never looked back. She's been with him for over a decade and has been his best friend and a grateful, soppy, cuddly, wonderful girl. The rainbow bridge is beckoning soon, but thanks to my dad its due to old age and not because some a-hole tied her up to die.
The person who first owned it didn't feed it at all! I hope that scumbag burns.
I hate to see people who treat their dogs like this. Thank you, whoever you are .
i stole a cat from a neighbour for much the same reason, people are disgusting
Our first family dog when I was about 3 was a stolen one. She was owned by a railway worker who was an alcoholic, kept her on a chain and went home every night drunk and amused himself by kicking the dog. My father saw this several times and it boiled his blood but they were bad times in my country and he didn't want any trouble. Later when he saw the dog had puppies he couldn't take it anymore so he got a trailer and approached the dog when the owner was working. She was a large kuvasz breed that is known for aggression issues and she had babies, plus my father was a stranger. But she was a wise dog. So my father could just walk up to her, unhook her chain, show her the trailer and without hesitation she hauled her pups onto the trailer one by one, then hopped in herself as if to say "all good boss, good to go!" . She was the best family dog ever, only ever growled at men in uniform, who reminded her of the a**hole.
I did this with a neighborhood cat that was always outside. When they found out, they took it back. I was alone and she had two awful sons, so I couldn't fight back. A few weeks later, someone else stole it, and kept it forever. They blamed me, but everyone told them to STFU and get over it.
I've done this on a few occasions in a certain city in the south that has a lot of flooding, a lot of animal abusers n a lot of stray animals... n I do not regret it. I found them all loving homes on farms where they will never be chained up in 100+ degree weather, chained out in rain n fucken hurricanes without food n clean water or shelter... where they'll get belly rubs n sleep on couches n beds n get to be off leash n run n play with their new families with kids n other dogs... I don't regret it n I will do it again. When SPCA wouldn't intervene, I did. I worked with SPCA running their TNR program for feral cats n whenever they backed down from a fight with animal abusers, myself n 2 of the surgeons/vets who did the low cost spay n neuter surgeries would take the dogs, give them health assessments, fix them, vaccinate them n find them homes. All free of charge since they also would get upset with SPCA. obviously they have to abide by the laws... but we don't have to.
One pic of an abused dog and everyone in the comments is ready with torches and pitchforks to hunt down the abuser. Dammit, I love you guys. *sniffle*
On a cruelty case a judge in PA the judge sentenced the "guardian" of a horse that was emaciated, dehydrated and had terrible problems with its hooves and coat to 3 days in jail-with only bread and water. There was also a hefty fine. That's a possibility. Or club the monster who did this to this dog. Thank you for saving her life.
I kinda of did this from a neighbor. They never took care of her, always let he out with no leash and let her wonder the streets, and then they would wonder where she was because they let her out and just went back in the house. The last time it happened, she was gone all Saturday night, then we get on facebook, and a neighbor had her close by. We messaged back to please hold on to her, and we would be coming to get her, we got there and she had disappeared already. I wanted my daughter to have this dog so bad, so I said we can go to what our plans were, or when can go look for Rosie (her name). WE searched all day over 4 hours. On the back to my house, she said mom pull over I saw something brown on the bushes..... I pull over, and her comes Rosie out of he bushes. We were all crying even Rosie, she had to be dehydrated, it was a little over 90 degrees that day. She is with my daughter now and she is just thriving! She will always be thin, just her breed, but she gained 25
This is how I got my dog and I am not even sorry. She's the sweetest, cuddliest pup EVER
IT WAS STARVING PEEPS TELL ME THAT DANG HOUSE NUMBER I WILL TURN IN TO A KAREN NOW
I have stolen a rabbit and a guinea pig during my lifetime for the very same reason. I would do it again for any animal in a heartbeat!
F*****g hell, I specifically wanted to avoid heartbreaking stuff today...
Makes me ill. Also, check on any kids. Abuse of animals and kids is often related
I don't understand why people have pets if they really don't want them? (Or children, for that matter).
My daughter and son-in-law had a middle-aged Staffie that had lived with them from a pup and they got to the stage where they needed to find her a good home. They advertised and some people showed up. They checked all the boxes, or appeared to and my son-in-law dropped the dog off at her new home. That evening, the new owners' neighbour called my son-in-law – she had seen him handing over the dog and noted the business details on his pickup door – and told him that the new owners used dogs in pit fights. Next morning, my son-in-law went back to that house and asked if he could see the dog one more time. He picked her up and ran for it, into the pickup where my daughter was waiting with her foot on the brake and away down the street. The dog eventually went to a good home – a friend of the family – and lived a long, loved life.
This dog was skin and bones. I don't know how anyone can be so cruel.
I adopted one of our dogs after she was found out in the Mohave desert, pregnant, starving and with mange. Finally after years and years of having dogs who worship my husband, this crazy girl is mine. High five to everyone here who rescues an animal.
Dogs are so forgiving. People like this need to be starved. Then when it snows asshole deep take the f****r(s) and chain them outside. No clothes, no shelter!!!!
I've stolen a neglected dog, found her a great home. Owners didn't care one bit that she was gone.
Yes, because being slightly overweight is obviously worse than every single bone showing. Come on.
Load More Replies...In the original version, players were allowed to choose among three alignments: lawful, chaotic and neutral but since then it has evolved into nine alignments (and a 10th option for creatures operating on instinct, not moral decision-making).

You've guessed it, Chaotic Good is one of these alignments. In the official player's handbook, its even got a nickname—Rebel. These type of "creatures act as their conscience directs, with little regard for what others expect. Copper dragons, many elves, and unicorns are chaotic good“, as is stated in D&D's basic rules.

Chaotic Rub
To get an idea of what such a character would look like, we could imagine a modern-day Robin Hood. Rebelling against authority as a way to protect the poor from poverty and suffering is one of his key traits. On top of that, he believes that the only way to do good is to dismantle the hierarchy and he can never be tied down to any organization.

Chaotic Good Burglary
Well, supernatural beings and fantasy worlds aside, we all know that it feels good to do good. The concept of “good“ might be thought of as something worth having or doing and enhances the life of those who possess it. But as the moderators of r/chaoticgood say, good is a relative term.

When we help others, we actually help ourselves. According to Dr. Stephen Post, "The evidence for the benefits of giving is now extremely powerful, and suggests that healthcare professionals might wish to recommend such activities to patients.“ Helping others fills your life with happiness, improves your health and can even make your life longer, as his research shows.

Another study came to a very similar conclusion; “doing good” may be an important avenue by which people create meaningful and satisfying lives. That's why so many people participate in meaningful activities such as volunteering. This only confirms that pleasure-seeking behaviors do not bring us as much happiness as... making others happy.

Good Guy Tipper “Doesn’t” Tip *wink* *wink*
I used to be a carpet fitter and one day an old lady gave me a tip of a folded bunch of notes. When I got in the van instead of £1 notes she had given me ten £20 pound notes. This was in the mid eighties and was probably the equivalent today of about six hundred pounds. I went back to the house and her daughter had just turned up. When I told her she said it wasn't the first time it had happened and gave me one of the notes. I worried about it for quite some time after.

The world is full of very good people, and these are the ones we need to hear more about.
Example: The case of Hamburg-based politician Andy Grote, who was insulted on twitter as a "Pimmel" (lit. "d**k" although slightly different connotation... but fairly tame as insults go). Police went full force against the writer of that tweet - search warrant, phone confiscated, all that noise. Because someone called a politician a d**k on the internet. Made the news all over Germany and now there's a subtle war raging in Hamburg with people leaving stickers that quote the tweet all over the town. Put up a huge sign, even. Police keeps removing them or covering them up... but, unbelievably, they keep reappearing... ;)
