30 Times Women Celebrated Their Wins, Big Or Small, Iconic Or Ironic, And Shared Them On This Page (New Pics)
Humans have been around on this Earth for a while now and throughout our existence there was always a hierarchy in communities. Someone was the leader and someone was at the bottom of the pyramid.
It’s natural that people have their own role in a society but what is not normal is when those roles are forced upon us based on race, sex, religion or sexual orientation instead of looking at the person’s merits.
While some put down others for being born the way they were, others will try to highlight what is good about them and how strong they are. There is a Twitter and Instagram account that is solely dedicated to women sharing their wins of the day or of their lives. To celebrate the 8th of March, which is International Women’s Day, let us look at those wins and share our own in the comments!

The account Women Posting W's has 823k followers on Twitter and over 7k followers on Instagram. It all started when the woman behind the accounts saw another Twitter account that irked her nerves.
Last year she told Bored Panda, “there's this Twitter account that is awful and misogynistic, @womenpostingls, that posts just tweets and stories of women just existing really as an 'L.'” So she thought that there needs to be a positive space for women to celebrate their lives, and that is how she created a page where women shared their ‘W’s, a.k.a. wins.
It seems that the internet really lacked such a space and women really wanted someone to acknowledge their daily or lifetime accomplishments, because the numbers say it all.
It has been a little bit over 2 years since the account was created and it already has a huge following on Twitter, slowly and surely nearing a million followers. And all it took was for the account user to share various posts by other women who posted something about what they are happy about or proud of and just celebrate women as individuals.
And today is a very appropriate time to do that as March 8th is International Women’s day, as it was announced a holiday for the very purpose of commemorating the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women.
March 8th was declared an international holiday in 1975 by the UN and every year they celebrate it by centering on a particular theme or issue regarding women. This year the theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
Almost the reverse for me, I found out my daughter was sexually active because she went on her own to get birth control and they had to perform a pregnancy test first which I got the bill for. When she saw it she panicked, because she thought I would be mad. I wasn't, I told her I was proud of her for taking care of herself. She asked me never to tell her mother and I did not, she also asked me to go to the doctors office when she got her first shot and I absolutely did. She is such a great kid and just finished her engineering degree.
Dark skin is beautiful skin. We have to embrace the beauty of our skin color.
This year’s aim is to help “drive global action and investment with a focus on financing for gender-just climate solutions, increasing women’s leadership in the green economy, building women’s and girls’ resilience to climate impacts and disasters and increasing the use of data on gender equality and climate.”
Other themes included #BreaktheBias in 2021 and aimed to bring light on gender stereotyping and discrimination and in 2020, the first year of the pandemic, it was I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.
It is an important day to celebrate because the very existence of Women’s Day demonstrates that there is a problem as it is also a reminder of all the protests women have gone to, all the rights they have fought for and have finally received.
Twitter accounts like Women Posting W's are driving the world in the right direction and changing how the world treats women. Because there is power in solidarity and if women could go this far, they are able to go until the end.

Love this! The rough patches on the road often get censored and this is the way to really see the bigger picture. Even greater achievement that way!
Reese Witherspoon actually replied to this, congratulating her. I think that's brilliant - Elle woods for the win!
Good for you! Sounds like a change of living, giving a slow drop in weight, over time. Which is a better way to keep the routine going, rather than a fast diet/work out. Quick drop often reverses, slow and steady wins the race.
What is this golden stuff between her teeth? Braces? Decor? I'm really clueless.
Did the same for my daughter. It's a joy to watch the tree grow with her :)
You look great. I too am not pencil thin so this makes me feel amazing.
THIS IS AWESOME! I am not yelling because I am angry, I am yelling because this is AWESOME!
I'm going to copy this and send to my nieces so they can use it for every d1(k pic or god awful unprovoked unwanted sickening perverted message they receive. Which, it breaks my heart to say is at least twice a week ****If you are parents raising boys make sure you raise them to know just how wrong sending messages like this and pictures of their willys is. Let them know how disappointed and disgusted you are with their actions Yes it can be awkward and embarrassing to have the conversations, but tough, we as parents of boys/young men have a responsibility to raise them right*****
And now I want to know what you're selling and what the name of your company is....
This is such a pretty bowl--anything you do with it will instantly create more happiness
So Thomas, I take it then you would have no problem switching jobs to be a MANicurist? Or having you and your guy pals known as woMEN? Oh wait. You would need to transition. Oh if you are hetero, good luck with getting a woMAN to sleep with you. Just saying.
Didn't the First Lady Jill Biden already do this at the Inauguration? Her dress was embroidered with all the 50 states official flowers. It was a beautiful dress!!
This is cutE but all I can think about is How much MONEY AHAHGDHDJSHGFHDJSHDGFH
Is it that wrong to read this kind of posts and to feel depressed, instead of uplifted and proud for them? I can't help to compare their triumphs to my life and what I did not accomplish, and that makes me feel awful. Don't get me wrong, keep up with these posts, I'm sure it's a good encouragement for people to believe in themselves and to never give up...I just have to remember not to open the tab, especially when I'm already in a bad mood.
Even if it's not as public as these, you can and will do so many amazing things in your life, no matter how big or small. I believe in you <3. Also try to remember that everything on social media is the 'best' things that happen, and in most cases don't show all the struggles people go through.
