30 Times Women Celebrated Their Wins, Big Or Small, Iconic Or Ironic, And Shared Them On This Page (New Pics)
Humans have been around on this Earth for a while now and throughout our existence there was always a hierarchy in communities. Someone was the leader and someone was at the bottom of the pyramid.
It’s natural that people have their own role in a society but what is not normal is when those roles are forced upon us based on race, sex, religion or sexual orientation instead of looking at the person’s merits.
While some put down others for being born the way they were, others will try to highlight what is good about them and how strong they are. There is a Twitter and Instagram account that is solely dedicated to women sharing their wins of the day or of their lives. To celebrate the 8th of March, which is International Women’s Day, let us look at those wins and share our own in the comments!

In a country that is rampant with female abuse these women are definitely heroines. The police and women's rights are almost non existent .
The account Women Posting W's has 823k followers on Twitter and over 7k followers on Instagram. It all started when the woman behind the accounts saw another Twitter account that irked her nerves.
Last year she told Bored Panda, “there's this Twitter account that is awful and misogynistic, @womenpostingls, that posts just tweets and stories of women just existing really as an 'L.'” So she thought that there needs to be a positive space for women to celebrate their lives, and that is how she created a page where women shared their ‘W’s, a.k.a. wins.

Is it possible to upvote more than once? We often meet so many people that we connect with, but lose touch with them after that moment. What of we find out soulmates in those small moments? Our best friends? Life is weird, and it feels so nice to see at least some of these people are reunited in their later lives. So happy for these gorgeous ladies!

My first friend, when I was 5, was a little Black girl named Candice. My mom talks about how we were best friends and it was her first time really meeting Black people. I always wonder what happened to her. I wonder if I have photos somewhere.
It seems that the internet really lacked such a space and women really wanted someone to acknowledge their daily or lifetime accomplishments, because the numbers say it all.
It has been a little bit over 2 years since the account was created and it already has a huge following on Twitter, slowly and surely nearing a million followers. And all it took was for the account user to share various posts by other women who posted something about what they are happy about or proud of and just celebrate women as individuals.

I'm always straight gobsmacked seeing people doing these kinds of calculations, formulae, etc. for months or even years. I barely understood calculus and passed the class by 5 points. The fact people do this day in and day out is awe inspiring, especially given the fact that a lot of these geniuses enjoy it. I feel so insignificant right now.

Almost the reverse for me, I found out my daughter was sexually active because she went on her own to get birth control and they had to perform a pregnancy test first which I got the bill for. When she saw it she panicked, because she thought I would be mad. I wasn't, I told her I was proud of her for taking care of herself. She asked me never to tell her mother and I did not, she also asked me to go to the doctors office when she got her first shot and I absolutely did. She is such a great kid and just finished her engineering degree.

*DISCUSS birth control. Don't just force her to be on the pill when there is a choice. We have more than one option and it's not just on the daughter to not get pregnant (I wish someone told me this as a teen!). Other than that; great mom! Of course teenagers will have sex, let's take a chance to make it as healthy as possible.

Wether you want it or not, teenagers are going to have sex, parents that don't understand this confuse me. When my daughter was 15, she had her first "serious" boyfriend so I asked her if she wanted to be on birth control, I said wether she is active or not is none of my business, but better be safe than sorry.

My mom got me on the pill not too long after I started so that my cycle was regulated. My sister had horrible pain during hers and mom wanted to try to prevent that for me. Didn't sit down with both but dad is really easygoing. I really miss those versions of my parents.

I totally exploded when my then 15 yr. old told me she had sex with the boy next door (they knew each other for years). I don't know what hurt me more....the fact that she snuck out to do it or the fact she was 15. I at least waited until I was 17 going on 18. My mom STILL doesn't know when I lost my virginity! Yep, everyone's skin color is beautiful!!! I think we need to normalize the variation in skin because it's all natural and amazing!

Other themes included #BreaktheBias in 2021 and aimed to bring light on gender stereotyping and discrimination and in 2020, the first year of the pandemic, it was I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.

It is an important day to celebrate because the very existence of Women’s Day demonstrates that there is a problem as it is also a reminder of all the protests women have gone to, all the rights they have fought for and have finally received.
Twitter accounts like Women Posting W's are driving the world in the right direction and changing how the world treats women. Because there is power in solidarity and if women could go this far, they are able to go until the end.

According to the "Truth or Fiction" website, this is a picture of a woman with rhododendron that is over 100 years old, but she did not plant it. The phrase "...and the woman who planted it" was not part of the original caption. Somebody tagged that on to make it more amazing.

I failed my final semester of nursing school. I was gutted but I used it as an opportunity to learn. I went back, audited the previous semester so I could test back in, passed with flying colors and went on to get an A in my final semester. I passed my NCLEX I'm 75 questions (the minimum number to pass). Now, a few years on, I'm a nurse manager at a brain injury rehab facility and I'm loving life. Sometimes we just need a minute to get our head right. I shared my defeat on FB and my victory was even sweeter when I passed school and then my licensing exam.

Is it that wrong to read this kind of posts and to feel depressed, instead of uplifted and proud for them? I can't help to compare their triumphs to my life and what I did not accomplish, and that makes me feel awful. Don't get me wrong, keep up with these posts, I'm sure it's a good encouragement for people to believe in themselves and to never give up...I just have to remember not to open the tab, especially when I'm already in a bad mood.
