Did you know that a physicist once made his cat the co-author of his paper because he'd accidentally written "we" instead of "I" throughout his work and couldn't be bothered to change it? Also, believe it or not, the British Government has a position called "Chief Mouser To The Cabinet Office" that can only be assigned to a cat. And although this may not surprise you, a study once proved that cats are more than capable of recognizing their owner's voices, but simply choose to ignore it. I'm sure the now two year old is fine. And the cat doesn't really have a home, she's a 'community cat', a whole block takes care of her. http://www.lovemeow.com/masha-the-cat-saves-abandoned-baby-by-keeping-him-warm-for-hours-1608411808.html
Load More Replies...How lovely! I believe the cat knew exactly what she was doing, too.
I can't imagine what a heartwarming and yet heartbreaking sight this must have been for the passerby to see!
I now have the mental picture of Mickey Mouse being a dictator of mice with cat soldiers.
Load More Replies...That's excellent to know. This is why my mom always wants at least 10 or so cats on their farm even though some aren't that crazy about them. As long as they have around a dozen cats you never see a rat, a mouse or a snake on the place. That is EXTREMELY unusual for most farms. They supplement their feed with regular cat food and extras but don't stuff them so they want to hunt. Most people don't know a cat is NOT born wanting to hunt mice or anything. A mama cat MUST teach her kittens to hunt if they are to catch mice. Otherwise, a cat will only play with a mouse. Cats and mice can be raised to be best friends if begun when very young. You cannot go to a pound and just get a dozen cats and expect mousers. They must be "born into" the job. If you want a good mouser get kittens from a mother cat who herself is an excellent mouser. It's not natural, like a dog. Ever see young pointer puppies, they do it naturally without being taught a thing. Cats are not like this.
As if I needed another reason to love this precious human being. can we trade Orange for him, please?
The song "Delilah" from the Queen album "Innuendo" was actually about his cat.
As a fellow cat lover, I have to give Freddie props for standing up for his cats! RIP Freddie.
He really was a devoted cat lover! He also wrote a song for another of his cats: Delilah :)
They should eliminate a lot of records for humans too(fattest person, most tattoos, the whole amazing daredevil section, etc) although I suppose the people at least have a choice
Mine hasn't done this either. I don't know if this means she thinks I'm awesome, or that she doesn't give a damn about me!
Load More Replies...So, actually they think they have to care for us, not that we care for them. :/
One of the examples that our cats actually own us!!!!
Load More Replies...I disagree. They think we're the greatest hunters when we come home from the supermarket! We feed them every day. They bring you dead animals as a way of saying, see? I can do my part. Here take this lovely offering as thanks for all the meals you've provided to me!
Better yet...my cats beg me for food, so I must be some sort of supercat :-)
That's actually not true: they see us eating everyday, they know we can feed ourselves. It's really just a present, a sign of affection
One cat will bring me French Fries from the garbage the other brings me socks. They know whats up!
Or maybe sometimes they don't like the taste of this one and figure you can eat it.
So my cat thought I was only a halfway crappy cat then, because she would always eat half
You can also calm cats down by shutting and opening your eyes very slowly while maintaining eye contact, of course. It might be helpful when our furry friend is in stress for some reason.
My cat was a feral that I adopted, now he watches me and follows me wherever I go. He has become really sweet.
Thanks to Jackson Galaxy - he has done an enormous job of enlightening troubled cat "parents".
And they also need to report those people to the local authorities, who should wait a couple of weeks and go to your house to see if you ended up adopting a cat. If you only every tried to adopt a black cat right before Halloween, and you didn't own a cat afterwards, and you never showed an inclination to own a cat later, you need seriously to go on some kind of watch list.
It's distressing there are !#^&$%$# that would do that to a cat.
Another indication of human ignorance and stupidity! If nothing else, shelters at the least protect these exquisite kitties from malicious and sadistic brainless "humans".
Where I live in Salem, MA, many black cat owners put their kitties in lock down for the month of October.
I saved my lovely black, or very dark brown cat when he was only a week old; now he is two months ols and he is the king of the house.
re: very dark brown cat. we have 2 (of our 3) who are brown but look black in more muted light. I can't find any reference to brown cats other than Havana Browns, but they are half Siamese and our bruisers are clearly not related to Siamese. Tell me about the brown ones (Ursula Wesley on Facebook)

Unfortunately once they were underway Kiddo decided he was not so fond of flying and started causing trouble by meowing, crying and running around ‘like a squirrel in a cage.’ The airship America was the first aircraft to be carry radio equipment and the first engineer, Melvin Vaniman, was so annoyed by the antics of Kiddo that he was moved to make the first in-flight radio transmission to a secretary back on land. http://aviationhumor.net/roy-come-and-get-this-goddamn-cat-was-the-first-ever-in-flight-radio-transmission/

Koko has cared for several cats in her lifetime. I think All Ball was hit by a car. :(
I don't remember how she died, but Koko was devastated.

Totally true... when I call my eldest cat, I see her wiggling her tail - just the very end :) - but never EVER turns to me or shows any interest. She hears though, very well :D
They recognize more the sound of plastics and paper bags with food than your voice calling them.
Most of the patients found it comforting. Its a pretty cool story
Load More Replies...A lot of times there is a spike in body temperature when someone is nearing the end. This type of phenomenon is not uncommon. And cats, ever seeking the warmest spot, tend to curl up on these extra warm humans.
Thanks for this. That's exactly the reason, and she's not the only cat that's been observed doing this.
Load More Replies...The actual reason behind this is that cats and dogs can identify several smells from the body that we may not be able to consciously smell ourselves. Particular smells indicate that the body is failing a couple of days before we die of natural causes. Oscar may have learnt to associate the staff movements, the smell and the removal of the deceased from that room.
Damn... now I have to find and watch that episode
Load More Replies...I'm not surprised. As a hospice home health aide, I saw family pets suddenly change their routines right before my patients died - either staying with my patient when they hadn't been, or not wanting to be anywhere around when they'd been parked under their hospital bed for weeks.
Cats are said to be half in this world and half in the spirit world....I totally believe this!
It was because these patients were very sick and got a heating blanket. The cat was attacked to the blanket, if I remember correctly.
Wasn't there a bitter rivalry a few years ago between the Parliament mouser and the Prime Minister's mouser?
No they don’t the primeministers house number 10 Downing Street has had generations of cats for this job it’s not the government cabinet whoever made this list is an absolute lying gobshite and hasn’t got a f*****g clue what there on About
I would have a lot less cat conversations if my cat just used words instead of meowing... A meow and a death stare could mean anything...
It makes you wonder what you just meowed your cat, right?
Load More Replies...My cat who was hearing, never meowed, because I raised her as a CODA - (cat of deaf adults) - she only knew sign language. I never knew this because I always saw her mouth open to meow at me for whatever reason. It wasn't until much later that a hearing friend commented of how funny that she never made sounds. I was astonished. How funny, she truly mimicked me in many ways!
I'm not convinced this is true. Why do some cats meow incessantly during the night or whatever with no recognizable purpose? (like didn't want food/water, no crazy stuff going on, etc)
In my experience, the cat is simply asking where you are! My cat does this, and all I have to do is call out and he calms down :3
Load More Replies...Then, when they find another cat and threaten, are they calling the human? [He and you, servant, bring the stick that here is an enemy!]
I had a cat who would respond to questions we'd ask. If I asked if he wanted some canned food, he'd mrow back with a pitch the rose at the end. If I asked him if he wanted to go to the the vet, his head would drop, he'd look down, and his mrow was quieter, lower pitched and and sounded sad. We'd chat every day, my asking him things that needed a yes/no answer that I was pretty sure what his answer would be, and then watching his response closely. He would do the things he didn't want to do, like take his medicine (he had heart, blood pressure, and kidney problems in his last few years), but he he made it clear he wasn't overjoyed about it. Getting his morning and evening canned food meals immediately after taking his meds made having to take pills twice a day a lot less awful.
one program does the same with dogs. the dogs are later trained to be service dogs.

Perhaps the ship was damaged or impaired in some way that would cause it to fail, and Emmy was aware of this. Cats “predict” earthquakes and storms by picking up vibrations and atmospheric changes that we are not sensitive enough to detect. I always check out when my cats and dogs seem to be bothered by something – they are sensing things that could save all of our lives.

I have 2 cats that used to stare the same spot on a wall, daily. I thought of a ray of light or dust but it wasn't always at the same time. It's a pretty good conclusion that the cat was able to sense a vicious storm headed their way. The cat knew that her instincts were right to stay on land with a firm footing on the ground. They should have taken a more scientific approach to the cats wariness.
Maybe the passengers and crew should have taken her not wanting to board as a sign and not have made that voyage!

"at random" sure... sure.. not like it had planned good use for the money on quality canned food, fast strays and the occasional catnip high.. sure.
to be honest, literally doing nothing (i.e. just letting it age like a fine wine until retirement) with your stock portfolio usually out earns stock trading professionals

https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/fbi-wanted-hacker-jeremy-hammond-cats-password/story?id=26884738 <---- It's true.
How can a most wanted hacker have such an obvious passsword? And what happened to his poor cat?
A lesson to us all. Im not telling my cat's name.... Im outta here (woosh) ;)
Please don't breed cats for a look. Well mixed genes means healthy cats. If there is 18 links of stray, backyard, runt of the litter, and general fuss-ball I'm happy, as is the cat.
this is just terrible.... in so many ways.... why pay for any animals on the first hand, when there are so many strays? I always wonder when someone goes to a pet shop or a breeder - why do they want a special breed? Do they want an animal or something to show off? Doesn't it really matter what breed it is?

That's because they don't show any symptoms of kidney failure until it is too late, they've already lost 85% of their effectiveness.
Load More Replies...*If* this is true, cats on dry food still need LOTS of water, no bird guts to eat.
"Can" being the operative word here. They do get high blood pressure, heart disease, and renal failure - every organ problem we can get, they can get - for the same reason. They are obligate meat eaters - because their bodies can't make taurine like most animals can, and they get it from eating muscle meat. If they don't get meat - and taurine - their hearts get flabby (lose muscle tone) and they go into heart failure.
Not strictly true. Cats are obligate carnivores and their ancestors were native to deserts. A cat's natural diet is mice/small rodents that actually provide all the liquid needed, requiring kitty to drink little or no additional water.
Huh. Maybe this explains why most cats die of renal (kidney) disease.
My husband wants to come back as a cat...preferably one of ours...
The purr is good for the humans who pet them too! I read somewhere that the frequency of a housecat's purr is roughly the same as a diesel engine (Thank God isn't as loud...)
There's an old wives tale saying that if you put a cat skeleton in a bag with a purring cat, that you'll end up with two cats coming out of the bag.

I have two cats (male and female) and neither of them uses one paw more then the other, as stated above :| When is it noticeable? Anyone knows?

Load More Replies...Oh my Lanta I don’t even know if my girl is right pawed or left pawed. Stay tuned for an update later this evening.... lol
Put a treat right on the edge (best a corner) of a table so the cat can reach it when streching. As the cat can use equally both paws in that situation, it will choose his "good paw" to get the treat... At least that's how I realized my (male) cat Wassja was a leftie.
I can vouch for boys being left-pawed. If the dog gets too frisky they will stand like a bear and box his nose. Much like an Ali tactic. Left, right, left, left.
My cat grooms my husband's beard. It's hilarious and endearing and I LOVE it!

Right, I don't know if being deaf makes a lot of difference for a cat! :)
Load More Replies...I had a feral deaf white cat, that I rescued of the streets. He ended up learning about 7-8 signs (made simple "cat sign language) in the two years I had him, before he tragically died after being attacked by a dog. I still laugh when I think about how nuts he went, if I signed the word "tuna"' lol. God I loved that little bugger <3
And if they have one blue eye, they tend to be deaf in the ear on the same side as the blue eye.
As a Deaf person, this is surprising news --- going to have to adopt one when I get old. :D
I own a beautiful blue-eyed white maincoone. He is indeed deaf, but the most amazing cat I have ever met! He 'reeds' my hand gestures :)
And not all cats have them too. Well, all small cats (domestic, lynxes, cheetahs and so) do but big cats (tigers, lions and so) have round pupils. But jaguarundis have round and are marked as small cats.
Load More Replies...Ahhhmmm When fact mashups occur. A fact-crash. The slit style pupil allows 2 extremes or pupil size with fast transition: super heightened depth perception/accuracy in daylight (slits) and clear vision in the dark (dilated). Which is why cat pirates don't actually need eye patches.
There eyes are slits in the light and round pupils at night for better hunting
Just looking at their teeth should tell everyone that cats cannot live off of a vegetarian diet..
Have you ever seen a fruit bat? Pointy teeth don't always necessitate a meat diet.
Load More Replies...Some animals are carnivores, some are herbivores and some omnivores. They evolved to survive that way. Their entire system is build for this. Putting a carnivore on a Vegan diet is simply cruelty.
Just like Jurassic Park. Cats are unable to synthesize Lysine and must obtain it from meat. Samuel-L-J...Arnold.jpg
They cannot manufacture taurine from other amino acids, they must get it directly from meat. Taurine deficiency causes blindness and heart disease.
maybe not , but fruits and veggies do no harm to them . I`ve had cats that would beg for water melon or cantaloupe , had a ginger cat that loved broccoli and would eat just about anything containing beans or cabbage , they all lived long healthy lives !
Whaaaaaaat but my cat likes corn he even gets the leftovers from the trashcan his mother likedthem too😌

Oh,that poor mommy cat. She must have been exhausted. Then she needed to care for them. Wow.
Oh well my cat throws a tantrum if he doesn't get some milk from time to time.
This is actually false. Saying that all cats are lactose intolerant is like saying all humans are lactose intolerant. Some cats can not and should drink milk, other cats will drink milk just fine. Should it still be done in moderation? Absolutely. Too much milk will still upset their stomachs, but a saucer of milk isn't going to make most cats sick. I work at a shelter, and closely with three vets, and everyone has realized the same thing. But, better to give off old knowledge then learn something newer.
It is better to err on the side of caution though. I'm lactose intolerant. It is painful and unpleasant when I have too much dairy. I wouldn't wish that on my kitties. A little to see how they digest it and some once in a whole if it goes well is the smart move.
Load More Replies...I'm lucky I guess, my cat doesn't like milk beyond sniffing at it. But I have to guard my iced tea!
I've let my cats have about 2Tblsp of heavy cream or whole fat milk with cream in it as a rare treat with no bad results.
I have a female maine c**n that is extremely lactose intolerant. Give her just a tablespoon of milk and she becomes noxiously gassy. But she can handle butter. She comes running for her tiny bit of butter whenever she hears the lid to the butter dish removed.
But you can absolutely give them lactose free milk or cream.
It is OK to give cats loctose free milk and cream, though.
They also make kitty milk and kitten milk, if you feel you need to treat them to a bit of "milk". At least that won't make them puke.
This is incorrect. There have been at least a dozen species of cats that have gone extinct, even in the last 100 years. Leopard, lion and tiger subspecies have been obliterated by humans.
In Europe some dirt back wanted all cats dead, that’s why the Black Death. No cats to kill the rats
There have been at least 4 since 1902; Mexican Hairless Cat (aztec), Oregon Rex, Pittsburgh Refrigerator Cat (eskimo cat), Sumxu-my daughter did a uni project on this a few years ago. Admittedly the last one is thought to be something of a myth or legend but there are paintings of it and references in ancient literature.
The Barbary Lion (also known as the Atlas Lion) Latin named Panthera leo leo - a sub-species of the African Lion was declared extinct in 1942 however, unconfirmed sightings were reported up until 1970. The Caspian Tiger (Panthera tigris virgata) became extinct in 1970. The Eastern Cougar (Puma concolor couguar) became extinct in 2011 while the Formosan Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa brachyura) became extinct in 2013. These wera all subspecies of cats. No entire species of cats has become extinct in at least the last 300 years. The "Tasmanian Tiger" or Thylacine on the other hand, has become extinct and is a species unto itself... but while it was called a "Tiger" it was not a cat... t was in fact the largest carnivorous marsupial... more akin to being a meat-eating Kangaroo than a cat - even though it walked on all fours instead of upright, and looked more like a Tiger than a Kangaroo ;)
According to official UK sources, considered highly endangered. Captive Scottish wildcats are alive.

Sometimes, I'll pet my cat right after he's bathed himself just to watch him start all over again. The other cat... he couldn't care less... I could pet him all day and he never immediately washes me off.
I was letting my cat whole I was reading this and then I just stopped petting her and she looked at me so weird , like I knew something I shouldn't.
I think it's some of the opposite... My cats desperately whine for me to pet them after I wash my hands. They leave once I smell enough like them.
I think there are more dog owners, and it's a small number of crazy cat ladies bringing the total up!
The problem is that I've never heard a multiple dog owner being referred to as crazy but multiple cat owners frequently are.

Hmmmm, from personal experience and according to veterinarians and the SPCA, it actually means they don't like their cat litter.
I adopted my cat who had been declawed by another owner. She doesn't cover-but I thought it was because her paws are overly sensitive now.
Load More Replies...I have a question: Do cat's Fart...I have never ever have heard a cat fart or smell one, just the stink they leave be hind after a visit to the box.
Yes, they do - and due to their high-proteins diets, it stinks even worse than dog farts >.<
Load More Replies...Someone cut the whiskers on one of my cats. The cat bumped into everything and was off balance. I would love to have hurt the person who did it!
This is false. They use their whiskers to detect things within a few inches of their faces because their eyes don't focus on close objects.
So when I see someone with horribly shaved eyebrows I will now have to ask them if their cat died. 😂😂😂
My cat was named Milky Way short milky or iki but if I called him Milky Way he knew he was in trouble and run ,,, also I had mars short maz knew it perfectly
Here in Germany they say it’s names with Rs in them because Rs sounds like the noise mother cats make to call or comfort their babies.
My cat's name is Richard. He responds well to his name. My chicken adapted the same name as well. He and my cat comes to me when I say the name Richard Hahaha
Not entirely true.. Cats do have some sweat glands, but their skin is covered in fur, so this minimizes the amount of cooling the sweat can provide. The paw pads have the most sweat glands. ... Only extremely heat-stressed cats will pant, so if your cat is panting, you need to be concerned that she is too hot.
Load More Replies...This picture gives me the urge to place my finger between their foot pads XD
Yeah paw up... you put your finger in there and they often gently close their paws to hold your finger... love that.
Load More Replies...It is not that easy to access the datafiles I saved on my cat. But hey! its still better than that data cloud system of distributed data-bites to 17 random birds.
How long does the average cat take to charge? Also how on earth do we know how many Bytes of storage a cat has!?
Not necessarily the mother's kittens bread with a similar breed and selective breeding and kitten preference for next generation.
Load More Replies...They were bred with other breeds and some of the breeding resulted in skeletal anomalies that can be common to the breed. They were bred with Persians for a number of years but now that pairing is banned in association registered breeding. I had 2 folds... one that folded, one that didn't. The one with folded ears had a fused tail, misshapen feet (that required declawing), missing sternum, malformed internal head cavities (resulting in labored breathing and snorting)... that tiny little thing never grew bigger than 3 pounds, never wanted to be held (if you had no sternum, you'll probably complain if someone kept picking up you), and shorted her way through 14 years of life, outliving her non-folded brother. She loved to chase the laser pointer and her purr was insanely loud. She was adorable but her lineage included Persian 4 generations back. Her brother, on the other hand, great huge, sat like a Buddha most of the time, and you could coil his tail around your finger.
Sad... I am of the opinion, that messing with cat genetics and manipulation of said genes just to please a human, like a munchkin cat, is cruel and insanely inhuman! It will come back to haunt those a******s, who think they are doing good for cats, all they are really doing is making money by making the cats unable to do the things they were born to do! Leave cat genetics alone, and dogs! Natural and interesting mutations occur in nature, be happy with those!
That's c**p. Mine always know when I open chocolate and won't leave me alone until he gets a small amount
keep that small piece very small. Chocolate is actually dangerous for cats. I had a cat that managed to get in a drawer and stole half a bar. Doc said he was lucky to survive that. Just want your furball to be your furball for many years to come :)
Load More Replies...This is actually not true. Studies show that while most cannot taste sweetness, some can. There's also plenty of personal evidence.
Tet all three of mine tackle me every time I open a cup of vanilla yogurt and one steals my son's Pop=Tarts!
Yep ....mine too! She gets her canned food at 4:00 pm but when it comes to her dry food, if it is left in the dish sh won't eat it. I have to give her little bits of dry at a time because she likes it fresh from the container. Go figure!
Load More Replies...Mine prefers food that is presented to humans and has an annoying habit of pawing at people's crotches from under the table, lol
Mine always eat refrigerated food, two or three times a day. They don't know what fresh kill is.
In the winter, we used to zap the food for a few seconds to take the chill off! Spoiled? Sure! Bit better than wasting food they wouldn't eat due to temperature!
Mine would wait for the milk to get to room temp before having a drink.
Yes, hence my first tetanus shot when my hand swelled up like a golf ball...
If the biting cat is your housecat that never goes out, the likelihood that it harbors clostridium tetani is very low. However, giving a "tetanus shot" is habit, like giving anitibiotic shots to kids with viral infections. It's sham medicine to "reassure" you, but no more scientific or effective than having a "witch doctor" shake a rattle over you.
Load More Replies...I've seen cat scratch fever several times. It's scary when the person starts to have red streaks going up their arms. We sent many of people to the ER for blood poisoning.
Yep happened to me. Got bit right in the vein on my wrist. High doses of antibiotics saved me.
Load More Replies...Scratches... bites... I likely had hundreds already... just clean the wound after playing with your cat
This doesn't refer to scratches or superficial bites, but to deep wounds where the surface can heal over, while leaving a pocket of infection beneath. So calm down there, He-Man ;)
Load More Replies...I still have my cat's tooth marks on my left arm. About 10 years after the bitting
My neighbour almost had to have his hand amputated after a wildcat bit him, the infection spread so quickly
It is, my youngest wound up in hospital for 3 days when she was 10 because of a huge cat scratch that went from her knee to her ankle. It heeled over quickly and seemed to be all right until the fever and hallucinations kicked in, she never even mentioned that she didn't feel well.
Load More Replies...not the nails. in pic is explained why the teeth are more dangerous- bite goes deep and teeth are narrow, so the wound closes nicely at the top/on the skin, leaving the bacteria "trapped "down in the wound
Load More Replies...A 5 week old kitten bit me pretty deep..a few days later I thought I was dying and my Dad had to drive me to the Doc because I couldn't function..turns out I had cat scratch fever! It was one of the worst things I've ever experienced!
Yet my cat apparently can't hear me when I tell her to stop smacking her lips when licking herself. I swear, you can hear her from across the house!
Oh she hears you alright, she is just telling you to talk to the paw.
Load More Replies...He likes me better than my brother one cause he kinda mine and we r close and I'm quieter and he is loud
So that y he jumps and his eyes get rlly wide when he hears a slight noise (it's cute when he gets scared like that)
1 story is seriously 10 meters/32 feet high in the US? I think there is a mistake in the measurements ;)
I _should_ have said that we like _really_ tall ceilings over here! All of our ceilings are 30 feet ;)
Load More Replies...This happens because anything more than ~4-7 stories and cats actually have an improved chance of surviving because the webbing between their legs is allowed to spread and and become effective. They aren't exactly squirrels but there have several cases showing this amazing survival trait!
I remember reading that there is a mid range of like 4-7 stories or maybe 4-10 stories in which falling is the most unsafe. Falling from heights below or above that have a higher survival rate. (Sorry I don't remember the specific story range)
Funny enough cats need a minimum height to be save. They need time to rotate and after that... the height no longer is a real issue. They rotate, arch their back to land as a spring, spread their paws to reduce terminal velocity.
US - land of giant buildings. Every home is a basketball arena. It must be a nightmare to change a lightbulb :D
Fat Olive survived a fall of over 13 stories. (I have no idea how many feet or metres that is, but her name is awesome).
That would make each story like 7' tall (including floor/ceiling materials)! It's closer to 100 meters
Load More Replies...Actually I seen a video they tried to save a cat from an electrical pole when they got up easy over 20’ he just jumped and ran
Aftet approx 7 stories high any falling cats would achieve terminal velocity allowing plenty of time for them to adjust their balance mid air to land safe. If anything below 7 stories would be more dangerous
If the that phrase means that, then does "it's raining men" refer to dead men? Is the song about rejoicing over dead men's bodies? ~Questions of the Universe and Beyond~
Also, cats would climb into the rafters of medieval houses, where it's usually warmer. Then occasionally slip of the roof leaked.
Again, that's c**p. They used to sleep within the thatching of a thatched roof cottage
I heard that it actually was because cats and dogs would lay in the straw thatched roof when it rained and they would fall through the roof.
Nope they used to live up in the rafters of the house, and when it rained the roof leaked and rafters got slippery and the cat n dogs fell off so heavy rain = rain g cats n dogs
Incorrect. Animals would stay warm in the thatching of roofs. When it rained they would slip off.
I remember of a news, may be ten years ago. Gendarmes found out that a travelling circus was feeding their lion with cats and dogs they stole in the villages where they settled.
I could have happily lived the rest of my life not knowing this!
Terrible but pet control before spay and neuter was thought of. Barbaric times but understand its what made sense then
That's soooooo cruel. Just, why? why would you do that? 21st century people are not the only ones who are f****** up.
I wonder if cat's know all this stuff about themselves, because mine act pretty helpless.
It's just an act to make you want to take care of them. :)

"cats kidneys are so efficient it can survive on a diet consisting only of meat, with no additional water" not true, all creatures need water to live a healthy life. do not dehydrate your cats because of a post you saw on the internet
I loooove cats..but my mom don't allow one....I hope somebody gifts me a cat.
