30 Women Before And After Their Bridal Makeup By Arber Bytyqi (New Pics)
Many brides spend a lot of time coming up with their look for the big day. But when they find their wedding dress, experience that Cinderella moment with the perfect shoes, and spend hours scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for just the right hairstyle, and tick almost every aspect of their bridal ensemble to-do list, all there's left to do is find a makeup artist that pulls it all together.
Makeup artist and beauty influencer Arber Bytyqi is one of those people. We already covered his work in an earlier article, but Arber has been keeping himself really busy, and continued sharing before-and-after pictures of his clients, so we decided to do an update on what he's up to.

For this one you can say "job well done", I think. Even, I must say, that young lady looks good even without makeup
Since our previous piece, Arber's Instagram follower army has grown by over 100,000. "When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features," the makeup artist told Bored Panda.
Not such a big difference. This bride is looking very good, both with and without makeup
Arber wanted to become a makeup artist pretty early in life but when he finished high school, his family opposed this idea. "In our culture, a male in the beauty industry is considered taboo," he explained. "So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist."
Now, he and his team usually serve more than one thousand brides in a year. "The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, we serve as many as 60 or more clients daily."
That's a lot. But Arber's team consists of 25 people (15 makeup artists and 10 hair stylists). "I have trained these people myself. Some of them ar working part-time and some are full-time employees. We can attend up to 100 clients per day. We start our workdays early in the morning and make sure our schedule has absolutely no impact on the quality of services, satisfying all of their needs."
Of course, the coronavirus has had its toll on these numbers. "In the Balkans, the wedding is one of the biggest events in a person's life. But due to the pandemic, a lot of them were postponed," Arber said.
I'm sure that beautiful face don't need so much makeup, or photoshop... She is naturally very beautiful
Kim Karkrash is responsible for this trend of porno make - up. This woman doesn't look anything like herself. Nothing wrong with getting made up for a wedding but turned into someone else?
Much better without makeup. And by the way ALL look absolutely like plastic after makeup. Who would marry a plastic mannequin?
again, how can contouring and good lighting make her nose a totally different shape at the end?????
And your future husband walks away, because he thinks he is at the wrong church...

This MUA only knows how to do one look. Copy. Paste. And the amount of make-up plastered on their faces is unbelievable: might look good on pictures, but I wonder if it's the same in real life?
Exactly! Thanks for typing out my thoughts ;)
typical women trying to make excuses
That's what I was thinking. Good make-up should highlite the natural beauty, which those girls have, but instead this one is hiding their advantages.
Exactly my thought as well. They all (with one or 2 exceptions) look the same. And many look tired in their 'before' photo.
You do realize that they do the make-up considering THE BRIDE'S WISH, right? God, the amount of mean comments, the amount of ignorance in this section is so high. Usually people go to MUA with an example of make-up and how they wish to look like. If the bride liked what she saw on this trend, this is what she will get.
Fluturfly no
A prime example of a disturbing trend where people are not supposed to look like themselves anymore. Of course you want to look your best on your wedding and obviously you might go a bit further then when you would go to the supermarket but apart from personal tastes, most of these ladies do not look like themselves anymore. I find the fact that that seems to be desirable for many people, very disturbing.
Yeah, I totally get wanting to look great on your wedding day but this is just weird. Would they even recognize themselves on the pictures later on? And does this make up “artist” only know one style or something, they all look the same too...

This is a popular technique because it brings out the best of your own face. It’s also a technique mostly used for special occasions.

Thank you for saying what I was trying to say!

Many of them are not beautiful
that is your opinion

Funny because this technique brings out the best in your own face so if you think they all look the same it’s because most humans quite honestly look very similar in their facial structure.
....No, honey. It doesn't. If it brought out the best of their faces the after photos would look much more like the originals. This is stage makeup basically, designed to cover up and even restructure a face via illusions (with a lot of help from photoshop on those pesky large noses).
No it does not. It makes people look generic.
I did not upvote any of the pics, even though I skimmed them all. I for one cannot appreciate this level of extreme makeover (especially the nose contouring???). The women do not look at all like their original selves. I understand wanting to look your best on your 'big day' but to completely transform into someone else is too much, really. I do not find the homogenised result beautiful or attractive...

What’s the problem? I’d they like it, they understand it and they chose it, then what does it matter to you? Do you live your every day life questioning why people like things you don’t like? Is this normal behavior do you think?
....Yeah, actually? It kind of is? What kind of idiotic "woke" question is that?
Holy Photoshop, Batman! It looks like the "make-up artist" (I'm going to use that term very lightly here) smothered their faces with foundation and then had a field day with the "Face-tune" and "Gaussian Blur" in a digital editing program. This is just sad-- they don't even look human after their supposed "make-overs." They look like poreless, plastic Androids. It's a shame, because they were so much more beautiful before.
You can tell some tweaking was done to the photo just by looking at their shoulders and clavicle areas. The skin tones are all too similar and look spray-painted on, and even the hair color changed in a couple of these!
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
This is makeup skills, not photoshop. It’s easier to do this with makeup than to edit the photo afterwards, just saying.
No it's a one trick pony, not skill.
Editing these in photoshop to look like this takes literally just minutes compared to how long applying makeup, especially this much, can take. It is not easier to do with makeup.
I like the before pictures more, maybe because I prefer the natural look. I especially dislike the puffed up lips :(
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Yes that’s because you personally prefer a natural look. The models apparently didn’t and that’s why they chose this look. Nothing wrong with that.
It's sad that society pushes natural skin (darker under eyes, inconsistent skin tone) on women as something bad. Being constantly bombarded with images of women looking like dolls just reinforces the opinion that women without makeup look tired or sick or unattractive, it alters perspective on what we should look like

I understand, but would you want to get married with blueberry dark circles under your eyes and acne scars all over your face, if there is an easy way to disguise it temporarily so you look fresh?
You can achieve that without turning everyone into cheap Kartrashian clones.
You don't need thick layers to hide that. You need skill though.
These women are getting married and they don't look like themselves at all.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
THEY are getting married. THEY choose what they want to look like. Why do everybody care?
Because....this post was put on a public forum where everyone is free to judge, criticize, and compliment it as they see fit?
Stop using caps.
Personally, I don't like the "doll" features look. I think the "au naturale" look is better. Sure, a little makeup is perfectly understandable. If it makes you feel good, wear it. But please, except your natural beauty. You are beautiful on your own. Except yourself for who you are.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
This is a look for special occasions. I’m sure they accept their natural selves in their daily life.
Doubtful. If you need to look like this for something that you find marks an important part in your life, then faking it that much ch says a lot.
So, what was the purpose of this post? To show people what not to do on faces?
These woman are caked with clown makeup and highly photoshopped. They look ridiculous. I suppose this is an advertisement for the makeup “artist” but it looks like a bad joke.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
This is not photoshop. I’ve done this type of makeup for 7 years and it works by creating an illusion to make parts of the face stand out, like the nose and the cheekbones. It works best with high quality makeup that has to be personalized for your skin. So no you could never get these results with clown makeup, and it’s not photoshop. That would be much harder.
Those noses are absolutely photoshopped, and doing it is incredibly easy. With makeup, no matter how well concealed something is, you can still see the original shape if you look closely enough. That is not the case in a good number of these photos.
This is all glamour make up, not bridal make up! You should look like yourself on your wedding day, with subtle make up to enhance your natural beauty. Not like a totally different woman or a plastic doll.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
That is YOUR opinion, Linda. Some people like glamour at their wedding, everybody’s different.
Yes and she is entitled to it without being attacked on just that. Just because you like it, doesn't mean people can't criticize it.
Too much makeup/photoshop/face tune.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
It’s makeup. And they apparently don’t think it’s too much because they chose to wear it, Christina.
If you put it on display as a make up artist and you only know one style, one can prepare for some criticism. It is basically just a thick layer applied to all faces making them look generic. A bride can be happy, but seeing the work all together reveals what the artist is about.
Brides looks better little make up without heavy and fake make up. Look old age.
I thought this was a "photoshop fail" entry.
I can allready imagine the groom walking in to the church and going: Oops sorry wrong wedding. My bad.
I think boredpanda is just trolling us now. Ugh.
What’s the point if you can’t even recognize your wife when she walks down the aisle? Or if you have kids and grandkids and the picture they have of you is from when you looked like a completely different person? I think at least wedding makeup should be to accentuate natural features, not give them new faces, right? It would be different if they did it themselves, because it’s their own face and they can do whatever they want, but if you’re doing your own make up you control it, so I wonder if many of them actually wanted this?
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
WHAT’S THE POINT OF PEOPLE HAVING DIFFERENT TASTE IN MAKEUP AND CLOTHES ETC???? I’m sure they wanted it, go ask them and maybe they can explain why they like it so you and everybody here can stop judging them.
I don’t understand all the hate either Kim. I’m sure if I said they still look beautiful either way I would get downvoted. I don’t understand why these women are getting so much hate for having their makeup done the way the want and what makes them happy. Yes people can have their own opinions about it but they shouldn’t go around telling people how they should look. If it makes them happy that’s all that matters. I’ve had men tell me I look better without makeup and I don’t understand why they feel the need to tell me that. I’m not wearing markup for THEM I’m wearing it for myself. It makes me happy and it’s fun for me. I don’t care what they like and if they don’t like it.
They're all WAAAY too overdone.
I think they all are beautyful In the before pics, even if he probably done his best to make them ugly. They look creepy in after pics.
Gunilla Olsson what

They liked it themselves. That’s what matters.
Dunno, they all look like Kim K to me. I understand the desire to look a little more perfect on your special day. But this makeup looks more like a mask. At least the before pictures show their personality and uniqueness.
Wheres the STYLE? I only see a kartrashian facetuning trend.
LaLa May lol
Looks like Kim who is responding to most of everyone's comments is taking this WAY TOO PERSONNALY...…. I personally thought many of them looked better in the before. I don't get the large lips. It seems that everything; from the make-up, earrings, hair and headpiece are so exaggerated. Now if this is what the ladies are going for, well done.
I think the accessories are lovely, personally, but that aside, I agree. If you don't want people criticizing something, don't post it on the internet, and don't be surprised when not everyone shares your opinion. Also, criticism is not the same as shame or hate--people who dislike these looks are just as entitled to their opinions as those who do.
Agreed! I'm always kind of shocked when one person takes the time to respond to nearly every comment instead of just going 'they don't agree with me and that's fine' and moving on to the next post. Especially since most people on here aren't insulting the actual appearance of these ladies, just saying the makeup is over the top- which I would agree with. It's the whole "I don't like what they've done here, that's my opinion" and someone coming back at you hard to say you're wrong. And like Malakai said, if you post it online people will have opinions. That's just how it works.
Way, way, waaaaayyyyyyy to much make up . 😳

Way way way that’s youuuuuuur opinion, Iris.
Dear lord, what a tacky mess. Kiss the bride and try not to drown.
love it !
can you just stop whatever makes them feel pretty is okay please stop degrading them if they want to look like that on there weeding day then we let them instead of dragging them down trust me i used to be really insucure and i would cry if it was me you were talking about please stop if you have something nice to say dont say anything at all

Well happy for them YOU are not one of the grooms or brides.
The „after” look is in pretty much every single case here waaay too extra. Those ladies stop to look like humans after the change. How can anyone think this level of makup/photoshop is cool?
Makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not be used to change your appearance into someone else entirely. I'd hate to wake up everyday to a photo of myself as a bride who looks nothing like me.
I am disappointed in you Bored Panda, you are better than this. Does Arber Bytyqi have connections with someone affiliated with Bored Panda? Or is this paid advertising? And obvious statement, they looked edited, photoshopped. Usually the images on this site are inspiring
Wow. So unnaturally looking. And who knows what level of digital editing those photos have.
Some changes are for the better, some for the worse, but more importantly they all look like completely different people after and this is not a good thing. You could almost smuggle the wrong bride into the wedding and the groom wouldn't know the difference.
They all look like drag queens. No thank you.

As a member of the drag queen community I would like to ask you not to drag us into your degrading comments, and then maybe kick you out with my 10 inch heels. ❌ Bye
Drag queen Kim is getting a bit aggressive here.Calm your stuffed tits
NONE of these women keep the natural shape of their lips! Why make them so much bigger?!?
My stepmother has very thin lips. Every time she gets her makeup done, the makeup artist will try to draw larger lips. My stepmother says nope, I like my mouth just the way it is. The idea that only one kind of lip is beautiful is silly.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Because they think it looks beautiful. Why you ask?
Why is there a "Kim" attacking everyone LMAO lol
Maybe "Kim" is the make-up artist, lol. She's screeching on nearly every comment "tHaT's yOuR oPiNiOn!" Yes, "Kim," it is. Welcome to the comments section. And the real world.
This makes it look like someone else's pictures on the wedding day. And I'm sure hubby at some point will throw the awful statement in her face sometime into the marriage: "Why don't you look like that all the time?"
Many of these makeovers are more suitable for RuPaul's Drag Race than for a wedding.
Makeup should enhance not change how a person looks. Will the groom recognize his bride? And what happens after the wedding day? I would be more interested in seeing less make overs.
They're just Bratz dolls.
OMG, you're right! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's sad because those women will never look like that again (unless it's their job). Anyone looking at the wedding pictures is going to be like, "Who is she?" including any kids they have.

What’s wrong with wanting to look extra special on your wedding day? Nobody’s gonna wear their dress again either.
They're all hardly recognisable in a ... not so good way. Yikes.
Powercat ?
Soooo kardashian makeup trend ... honey trends have nothing to do with style this is a wedding, make them classy not trashy. Where is the STYLE ???
Would I want to look like a completely different person on my big day? I don't know, at this point in my life I would say firm no.
If most of these are real, the husbands are in for one heck of a shock at the honeymoon hotel!
Poor new husbands.
As a lesbian...why..? They aesthetically look way better without that uncanny valley makeup. Why would you ruin that by dunking these DREAMBOATS into that uncanny valley?!
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Maybe they like the valley? 🙈
No one likes Uncanny Valley.
I wear makeup, I love makeup but I'd feel like a total fraud going out in public with a heavily contoured face. Definitely wouldn't want to look like a completely different person on my wedding day!
@Kim - Yeah, I never assume everyone thinks like me. Definitely never implied anyone should. Seems like it's you who can't grasp that people are allowed different opinions.

It is not photoshop.
It is both makeup and photoshop. As another user pointed out, makeup doesn't make your teeth and whites of eyes whiter.
These women were beautiful to begin with. The make up “artist“ used to too much make up and too much photoshop to be believable. Seriously most of these women look so fake. A much more subtle look would have been so much better.

Maybe they didn’t want a more subtle look. Maybe they wanted exactly that and that’s what makes them happy.

Then don’t look at them and go do something else. There are like thousands of articles on this site, you don’t have to be here if you can’t be nice.
It's a public forum. People can criticize if they like, whether or not you approve.
No, just no! Instead of enhancing their individual looks, they all end up looking like a completely different person. It's downright disconcerting!
I hate heavy make up. Made me uncomfortable. Looks fake like Kylie and Kim.
Sure you could use some makeup, but like, don’t ever change yourself to the social media influencers. 😔
I'm getting so sick and tired of these. No one cares anymore
They were stunning before. Artist should have worked on enhancing natural features and not transforming them into completely different person!
Ileana Sky Aviles good
Many of them weren't stunning before or after
No, but I definitelynprefer the befores. They were PEOPLE in the candids, they got turned into frankendolls in the afters. While the looks were pretty, they all look very similar and way overdone. There's a right way to do over-the-top looks and this is not it for most of them.
LOL these are horrible and HEAVILY Photoshopped
Ashland Thomas good
Sadly women from reality TV do this all the time, it's not a good trend to change your entire face using extreme make up.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
That is YOUR opinion.
Are there really men out there who want a woman that looks like a fake plastic doll?
Yes, and they buy blow up dolls that look like these women.
Rude
But these people don't even look like themselves with makeup it's like a mask. It's weird.
Garrincha love
all kinds of young women end up with pretty much the same face. Remind me of the entire history of women and fashion....some man's idea of the perfect face, body, (corsets!, anorexic, huge boobs, tiny feet...) hair, etc. I think we are starting to get over this. Try to keep up, dude.
Lisa Fleming follower
All the women started to look alike. Why were (nearly) all the lips overlined? Why aren't their thinner lips okay?
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Because they wanted bigger lips. That’s why.
This combination of exessive makeup and facetune is truly terrible. I'm sure most of them are not even brides at all.... half of them have regrowth in thier hair.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Assumptions. Assumptions. Jealous?
It seems weird that you do your wedding makeup and look like someone else. I went with the "I want to look like the person you proposed to" look. I'd be weirded out if the man I was marrying looked different than the person I decided to marry when I was coming down the aisle.
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Everybody does it differently.
Most of these women look better in their natural form. In fact there are like 3 or 4 are just stunning naturally.
I am not trying to insult anyone but those nomakeup girls look worse when stacked with their makeup versions side by side because both look plastic like and to me all the plastic surgeries/barbie-like makeup etc is disgusting - how can you destroy your natural beauty so lightly. BARBIES ARE DOLLS, NOT HUMAN.
But did their grooms even recognize them? And how many got nose jobs?
Why does Bored Panda cater to these Russian MUAs. It's always the same look and it's not great. Can you imagine their kids, someday, asking " Daddy who is that woman in your wedding picture? "
Uh. Way too much makeup. Sad to see.
It is amazing what you can do with Photoshop. Did they all have nose jobs? I’ve seen big transformations with drag queens, but these look like something totally different. Also, the before pics look fake too. Made to look worse.
Sugar Cargill no
Sugar Cargill like
Why would Anyone want to look like this? 😔 The makeup is so thick if you slapped them on the back of the head it would crack off and go flying..... 😒🤣 It's incredibly sad how they don't reflect themselves especially for wedding photos 😪
Why would someone look like a totally different person on theri wedding day??? Instead of enhancing each person's indivicual beautiful features, the make-up person just slappped one generic look on all of them.
Bored panda I love you so, but PLEASE stop posting stories about how women look better when they are smothered in makeup. Old tired sexist crap.
Gabrielle Crawford good
They don't look like themselves. And they all look the same
No way. They look creepy. If my bride showed up like this I'd just sweep her make up off. A more natural look is nicer. There's no need to make them look "beautiful" if you're already in love the way they are.
All the made-up ones look the same, like Stepford Wives.
There wasn't one picture that I thought the "after" was better. They all looked like dolls. And none of them even remotely resembled the actual person. Oh, they're beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I cannot imagine the grooms reaction if he saw his bride to be walking down the aisle. Probably that he showed up in the wrong place.
Way over the top with the makeup. A little goes a long way.

Honestly if I have a wedding I am going to focus on skincare and making sure my skin is clear and just cleaning my face. I don't need or want all that makeup. Those ladies look beautiful in their pictures but I think they'd look better if it looked more like the first picture.
They ALL look better before the pancake makeup and photoshop jobs!
The title of this should be "Your real face isn't good enough." Such a gross and damaging trend .
