I've donated to locks of love for many years, and was shocked when I discovered that the kids don't actually receive the hair/wigs. (They sell it, and donate portions of the money made) After finding out, I switched to Pantene beautiful lengths. (Just keep in mind next time!) well of course it makes a "differenence", you're dramatically altering someone's appearance. But is it necessarily better? What if longer hair expressed their personality better? To me, all the short haircut pix have a slightly more aggressive feel to them; less warmth and compassion (not to say a long haired guy can't be a douche too). But the "clean cut" look goes along with a whole set of energetic imprints about maintaining the status quo, authority, power over, etc. which is...uh...not my thing. Men have so few ways they are permitted to express their emotions and feminine side (don't go there, that's *not* what I'm saying at all), I feel like the haircut forces them into a model of masculinity and doesn't allow freedom of expression.

So many of the afters look like it's the exact same haircut, there's no originality, no showing the person's personality and individuality. A lot of these men would have looked better if their original look had just been tamed a little, and not completely changed to a 'one-style-fits-all' generic cut. They're just clones, now. Disappointing.

I think the biggest change in most of these pictures is going from unkempt to combed/brushed. If these fellows would actually take care of their long hair the way most women do, then they would probably look terrific that way.
