Brides-To-Be Put Trust In This Makeup Artist To Look Stunning On Their Big Day, And Here Are 23 Of The Best Before-And-After Pics (New Pics)

I didn't mean to downvote that, it happened trying to open the comments. But as someone who has been a bridal makeup artist for over 20 years, they all ask for pretty much the same thing. They don't want to look like themselves. They want to look like a glam goddess for the day. Even the few who want a more natural look don't realize how much makeup it actually takes to make you look natural in your pics. Certain things don't photograph well and heavy makeup is the standard for good pics most of the time. The few brides who resist makeup ask and pay for a lot of Photoshop and editing once they get their pics back.

Funny you said that. I am thinking the same thing. They don't even look like themselves. I am all for some flattering make up but I always still look like me! They are all stunning regardless....before for sure but I'd not want my groom to look like someone else! Beautiful in their own skin :)

I do agree with this. This kind of get-up would, in my opinion, be better suited to a ritzy party, new years eve or something. Not a wedding. They are all beautiful but, on that day of all days, wouldn't people aspire to be their truest selves? *puts away the soap box*

I agree. They've all ended up looking sort of the same. All trace of individuality seems to have been airbrushed out.

Some look so cute with freckles, tiny nose, lovely smiles, wonderful eyes... But after make-up they all look quite similar, like the contestants for Ms World and Ms Universe. Individuality is gone. Need absolute skills to make them look gorgeous. But on day to day basis it take hours to do such make up and hair.. And takes quite some time to remove foundation pancakes and hair spray. Not to mention havoc chemicals do to the skin.

That was my intial thought. They always make them look drastically different than normal. Imagine looking back at the pictures and no one recognizing you.

You're comparing their stripped down, no make-up look to the after. Their everyday, go to work look is somewhere in between.

Stop using the word stunning for things that aren't stunning! The word had lost all impact.

Wait? What pics are you looking at that you think they're already stunning in the first picture? We obviously are looking at 2 completely different sets of pictures if that's the case ... raise those standards!

That's a really good point Jessi. I don't love it though - the women don't even look like themselves, and all their wedding photos will seem like they're of a stranger. Plus the makeup is incredibly dated and will look weird in a few years. These makeup artists are super talented, but I know I wouldn't want this for my wedding.

I get people are kinda miffed at how different they look, saying stuff like "I hope I can recognize my own wife when I marry her" and what not, but it really just matters if the brides are happy! The people they marry already love them for who they are, so what's the problem with them getting extra dolled up?!?!?!!

They have a tan because being too fair in your pics can make you looked washed out, depending on the lighting involved.
