Everyone would love Japanese artist Masayoshi Matsumoto at their birthday party. This remarkable balloon twisting artist has already made a name for himself for using such unusual art medium, but now he's back with even more incredibly intricate insects and balloon animals.
"I started working with this art form seven years ago, I was really inspired by wildlife pictures and wanted to see if I could create realistic animals of my own," Matsumoto told Metro. His cool artworks take the self-taught artist a minimum of two hours to complete, and more complex projects last up to six.
All of his work becomes even more stunning when you realize that Matsumoto doesn't use markers, stickers, or any other supplementary material only colorful balloons. His multi-colored cool animal kingdom is a truly unique art.

They said he uses NO markers, right? I wonder how he did the black line on the eye...
Caterpillar
Snake
If I made a balloon snake, it'd be just a single long balloon. These are incredible!
Jellyfish
Frog
I love how simple this one is! So sleek and stylish, like a real frog.
Jumping Spider
If that thing jumps I will not be surprised, but will jump out of my chair! LOL
This is incredible! How does he even get balloons that make those shapes? Look at the head; have you ever seen a ballon do that?
Bridget Smith is correct. The head is made by stuffing other balloons inside a round. I know because I have a gold medal in advanced balloons from the World Clown Association, but I can't figure out how he made the eyes!

I can figure out how to do most of Matsumoto's work (even if I can't execute it nearly as beautifully), but these wings right hear are so gorgeously done and I can't begin to fathom the weave he used...
Proboscis Monkey
Uninflated twisting balloons. It's a common technique, but Matsumoto does it masterfully.

The eyes are made with balloons too. It's a balloon inside another uninflated balloon, with a hole cut in it. He only uses balloons, and it's incredible.

Long gone are the days of just twisting into a section. This IS art :) Love them, beautifully done.
I up-voted this because the work is so impressive. But I couldn't finish viewing. I was creeped out by the bugs.
