49 Artists Around The World Respond To Trump’s Refugee Ban
As you probably already know by now, Donald Trump recently issued a controversial order banning people from several predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States.
Unsurprisingly, people have been quick to voice their outrage while simultaneously expressing their solidarity with those affected by the ban. Many people have been resorting to art to make their feelings clear, and Hank Green has gone one step further. "For every reply to this tweet with a hand-drawn message of support for immigrants, Muslims, and/or refugees, I will donate $5 to the ACLU," he wrote on Twitter. True to his word, he's already donated over $5,000 USD to the American Civil Liberties Union to help them in their fight to ensure that what Trump does is within the realms of the law. Check out some of our favorite drawings in the list below, and feel free to show your support by adding your own to the collection. That's not my point. I'm well aware human beings move from one place to another since the dawn of mankind. My objections fall on mass immigration fueled by open borders. At first it seems like a good idea, but in the long run it leads to national identity and economic issues, especially when newcomers belong to a completely different background. Of course, it’s not that we should turn our backs on this humanitarian crisis. However, we must find a way to help refugees without endangering us.

I read on CNN news that Greeen Card holders, double-citizenship holders and legal refugees with granted status will be permitted into US withing days after undergoing a throrough background check up. So not forever (as the ban itself isn't forever - 90 days for visa holders, 120 for new refugees) and something a bit different than in the picture... :x

yes, but it was not disclosed until a few days ago that green card holders were permitted, so airports and police believed they were not and thousands were deported before the situation was resolved

Actually, yes they did. He was democratically elected as the Chancelor in 1933. This resulted from the democratically elected seats that his party held. Just like in the USA election, it's not a straightforward democracy because of the electorate, but it still was a legal, democratic way for him to rise to power.

Hi Kimberly. I am not going against your beliefs or anything, but I find it out of normality to continuously support Trump, even publically showing it here. Due to all the hatred directed at Trump, what makes you believe in Trump? Why do you greatly believe in the ban of Muslims entering America, as you had showed your support on Pro-trump Twitter posts, yet respond negatively towards anti-Trump posts? I only asked the question here as a way for people to understand why others had voted for Trump, despite the damaging comments and actions he had said and done before the election. Guys... you may not like to hear this and I know it sucks for those people who are truly good and are muslim... but the culture (especially the fundamentalist and extremists) that many of these people have are very different from more modern civilizations and it's already resulting in very bad clashes in Europe. Many of the men from these areas that were banned view women as second class citizens. The New Years event in Cologne (Germany) is a perfect example. Many women were dragged away by hordes of men gathered in an area and molested/raped. Rape and crime has increased because it is a culture integration issue. British Muslim polls show that 52% still believe that being gay should be outlawed. Many still hope that Sharia law will dominate. I sincerely hope this changes with time but it's an issue that is growing in countries that have allowed massive amounts of refugees in and they are seeing the consequences. ISIS also uses these opportunities to infiltrate countries.

It would be nice if the news services and their followers, like BoredPanda, showed the TRUE information - the restrictions are 120 days for refugess and 90 days for visa holders. Poeple with double citizenships, green card holders and permanent residents as long as the refugees with granted status will be let into US within days after going a through a thorough background check. I understand the frustration and all, but please remember Obama did the similar thing in 2011. To be clear : I understand it hurts "normal" please and I solidarize with them, however please spread accurate news.

These are fantastic bits of art. Just tired of hearing about America, sorry for being so flippant but there are other things going on in this world. Russia looking at the decriminalisation of domestic violence for example. I shamefully accept this might be sounding very ignorant but I'm tired of hearing about something that people actually voted for. He was quite vocal about his intentions. People can't surely be surprised by the actions made since his inarguation.

I would put destabilizing the region on the heads of way more people than just Obama and Hillary. What about all the stuff with the Bush presidencies? And issues not even having to directly do with the U.S.? Regardless, no matter what angle I'm approaching this from I don't see how this is "repairing the situation". It's dealing with the consequences, not repairing.
