I did a bit of research on this... This whole thing started when Rowling openly supported a woman named Maya Forstater after said woman was fired over transphobic tweets and who lost a court case trying to claim that biological sex was the only way to define sex (ie. the old "male/female at birth" binary). Instead of backing down, Rowling instead doubled down on the "binary biological sex" nonsense even as the scientific community was actively discovering that "biological sex" is about as far from strictly binary as can be. Like it or not, the "binary biological sex" argument is regularly weaponized against the transgender community as an excuse to invalidate us. That's why it's upsetting when she touts that.

Maya Forstater won her appeal recently. She first said that she was worried that a radical change in the legal definition of a "woman" (to include both biological women and biological men) could harm biological women, in terms of rights and security. Her main concern is that "most of" transgender women have a penis. Then she went on and said that biological males cannot be women, and that only biology defines what a woman is, not identity or "feelings". What was a stake is, can you get fired for expressing that you don't believe in gender theory? The answer of UK labour law is No. So you get to a point where some Trans activists morons believe that replacing the term "woman" by "people who menstruate" or "people with uterus" is dot dehumanizing at all, and transphobic radical feminist morons who believe "PeNiS = MEn, IF U no VAginA U No WOman" enter a piss contest, to the detriment of all women

I have read what she said and it's not that at all. She has not explicitly stated anything of the sort and you people keep twisting her words because she's not toeing the party line.

I've read what she wrote, and she has an unnecessary obsession with trans women and an unwarranted paranoia about trans rights disrupting cis women's rights when no such thing is happening. No one at any point has claimed that sex isn't real, as she claims. Trans men are not being misled into transitioning and then detransitioning in droves, as she claims. The existence of trans women is not eroding "femaleness," as she claims. (I'm a cis woman, and I don't even know what the f**k that means.) Trans women are not attacking cis women in freaking bathrooms, as she claims. She also has made herself a "victim" of trans activists, centering herself in a discussion that she willingly inserted herself into and that was NEVER ABOUT HER to begin with. But poor JK, interjecting her opinions that no one asked for and having people respond them! Who would have ever thought trans people would *gasp* voice their unhappiness with her transphobia! It's unthinkable! Poor thing is such a martyr!😫 She is a textbook definition of a TERF, plain and simple.
