Combine the two and you can get people of a certain age who are not quick on their feet attempting to move out of the way because they'll be screamed at by the parked car owners and honked at by the drivers and it's no wonder so many older people no longer give a flying Frick.

Sometimes they fall off the flimsy hangers. I might pick up two things (that I didn't drop), but after that, I'm done.
Why? Ok, rhetorical - it's because sales staff aren't real people and it doesn't matter if I leave a mess, it's their job to clean it up (/entitled-bitch). But a why still remains - why do we, as a society, keep letting them get away it it? No, wait, answering my own question again - it's because corporate are afraid of losing the dollar amount attached to the continued custom of these harpies and their friends. Ugh. It's pre-coffee and this list makes me hate the world.
I have never seen this in the Netherlands. One shop only has one seller and it looks like this and no way it becomes such a mess. It's the 'customer is king and my employer is a slave who gets fired if he tells em to clean up their mess' idea.

Dude, you guys know forever 21? So the clothes are jammed so tightly in there that it is impossible to sift through the clothes and half of them fall off the hanger. Part of the issue is how the store spaces out the clothes and how the clothes are hung up. Not saying customers don't make the problem worse but I won't got to forever 21 because it is such a chore to go through their racks without half of it ending up on the floor
The location is Macy, My mom and I were looking for shirts. This occurred during Prom night. This makes several clothing we wanted come out in different prices.
Seriously? It can't be that hard (while picking out clothes) to put the clothes back on the hangers!
I use to work at the mall and one time there was a mistake pricing some soothing times to 25 cents and someone one Indian found out called them all over they kept scanning. Things and price checker and if they were not 25 cents they would just throw them on the floor.
It's actually like this on purpose so you will go browse the better organized full price items
I know the sales person gets hell if they tell the pigs to root somewhere else. And the bosses can't seem to figure out if other customers see this who wants to buy something that' s been underfoot of rooting pigs or a 50% discount on floor models.
I've worked retail before (not at a clothing place but still) and I find myself tidying up stuff like this out of habit! I will straighten things on hangers and pick stuff up from the floor because I know a mess like this will take ALL NIGHT to clean up!

I have a good friend who worked in retail for years. How she put up with this I have no idea.
Not to be sexist, but I used to work in JC Penney and I find that the women's section is always much messier than the men's section, and I see it in other stores too when I'm shopping.
A herd of animals was here, I see this all the time in the clearance sections, but they would never do this in a regular priced section, I don’t understand people

So many things that drive me crazy on here. But your lucky to drive, have a car, have friends, have a job, and be alive. Remember that.

The only reason you might feel the need to shame these people is because modern society has normalized disregard for authority, and thereby encourages disregard for the law as well as social mores, or else you simply want to feel good about yourself by pointing out flaws in others. Either way, you are whining rather than doing what is necessary to stop behaviours like this.
It drives my husband batty sometimes, but when I see cups at the mall/carts in the parking lot that are going to hit cars or block spaces/ perishable food on shelves I take a second to fix it. Yes I know some people get paid to do it but those people usually also have 1,000 other duties. IDK, it feels like most people don't care about others and that's the root of most of these. (The rest like the phone screens are just funny but I couldn't live with)
It’s a lot easier to deal with when you accept the fact that a significant number of people are bonafide assholes.
