I enjoy making the comic based on myself, my husband, our friends, and the real (mostly) things that happen in our lives!
Tiger and Bun are two lovable characters that are just making their way through life together. They visit friends and exist in a world that I'm always trying to grow and evolve as new characters are introduced.

I heard the sound from legend of Zelda in my head you would get an extra heart.
My name is Vivian and my husband is David. We are both animators in Vancouver and met at work! It was around then that I started doodling he and I as a tiger and a bunny, due to our Chinese Zodiac signs. This was roughly in 2016 and eventually snowballed into the comic, which I launched in 2020!
As for my art background, my career is in 2D animation. I enjoy collecting art books and drawing in my free time though! Most of what I draw now is for the comic and it’s weekly illustrations, but every now and then I can sneak in some unrelated art if I feel inspired.

My husband is in 3D animation and enjoys making more physical art in his free time, like clay figures and small dioramas.

This is very cute. I draw my ex- boyfriend the Narcissist and a bug Grizzly Beat and call ot 'Mr. Bear & Pigtardo" - sometimes Mr. Bear looks cufdly but Pigtardo looks like a d*!@

My favourite part when it comes to creating the comic and illustrations is drawing Tiger and Bun being happy and going out on adventures. Seeing something that happens between us during the day and imagining how it would play out in comic form is also a very entertaining part of the process!
The hardest part that I wish I could skip over would be planning the staging of each comic. It can take a lot of thought for some of the comics to make sure they read well with no text or speech bubbles and making them fit into just four panels.

Haha I've learned this the hard way. Though he tried to use trimmers (the ones you use for beards and cleaning up hair line) it was sooo bad...

I have a stuffed animal addiction that my husband loves to feed. The last one we got was a giant squishmallow dragon. I told him we didn't need to get it, but he said he would just come buy it for me later if I didn't get it then. It was adorable riding around taking up the whole cart.

My husband got me a special stuffed otter. He is still on my bed years later.
I have future plans, or at least some ideas, to make some Dungeons & Dragons related comics with Tiger and Bun in a fantasy setting as they play the game and maybe some six panel comics.
In the near future though, I do have plans to launch a store for merchandise to accompany the prints we already sell.

I have a terrible habit of tuning people out. It's something I've consciously practiced for years growing up. Now I can't shut it off and often have to ask people to repeat themselves in a conversation because I tune them out even when I want to hear the story. I have ADHD but it's not like I can't focus it's just actively listening

THIS LITERALLY HAPPENED TO ME ONCE so i was like 8 or something and i was at a sushi place with a friend, there was avocado sushi on the plate and i saw the wasabi and thought it was an avocado which fell out so i grabbed the whole mf chunk of wasabi and shoved it in my mouth... thank god there was like a huge cup of mango slushi next to me i downed like half of it in 2 seconds.

There is a Bob's Burgers scene just like this. Linda tries to get Teddy to like sushi, and he tries the wasabi thinking it's guacamole. He has a similar reaction, then he tries it again, thinking it's guacamole... again.

A bit different but I'm with my BFF when I forgot to take my meds. My bff had a water bottle I grabbed to take my pills with a deep gulp. I see my friend saying "no!" Almost in slow motion. Turns out it was 100 proof vodka. The taste of alcohol makes me nauseous I had to force the stuff down. I momentarily forgot he does that so he can walk around in public and sip.

Hahaha, avocado will will be in slices or chunks of it's served with sushi. If it looks like a paste it's wasabi. Unless maybe you're in California. Honestly just smell it first. Btw it's actually horseradish with a bit of wasabi powder, real wasabi is very expensive and rare

Reminds me of the time I made steak for me and my partner. I made hers regular and added ghost pepper salt to mine. Took them inside and set them on the counter. Before I could say anything, she picks up my steak and licks it from bottom to top in one big lick because she thought it was hers and was excited… good thing we had milk!
