These beautiful 3D sculptures of paper take a whole new look at the idea of a “pop-up” book. Pennsylvania-based artist Jodi Harvey-Brown alters old books and gives them a second life by making beautiful sculptures out of their pages. “The books that we love to read should be made to come to life. Characters, that we care so much for, should come out of the pages to show us their stories,” said the artist.

Colombian artist Miler Lagos constructed this entirely self-supporting book igloo using nothing more than carefully aligned books. Titled ‘Home’, this dome-like installation was on display at MagnanMetz Gallery in New York City late last year.
Isaac Salazar, an accountant born in Texas, brings back life to old books by creating interesting pieces of book origami. It’s his way of recycling a book that might otherwise end up in a landfill. He has been creating these for almost 2 years now. His books first started out simple and have recently become more intricate.
