When the Internet banned the horrible "blink" HTML element, many thought that GIFs would be soon to follow. But thanks to digital artists like Prasad Bhat, a self described film-buff, this simple form of web animation hasn't gone the way of Geocities. Bhat told Bored Panda how he goes about his work. "All my artwork is created on Illustrator and it takes me a long time to get the likeness...Making the GIFs is the easier part." As to why GIFs? "GIFs seemed to be the rage in today's social media trends. People like to see entertaining material in the shortest span of time!"
