Here’s 50 Important Things That Have Happened Since Putin Decided To Unleash Hell On Ukraine
Russia invaded Ukraine last week.
Putin's devastating attack on the European democracy of 44 million people came by air, land, and sea, but as the number of casualties climbs higher and higher, logistical failures and fierce Ukrainian resistance continue to frustrate the Russian advance.
Meanwhile, the international reaction has been swift and possibly more severe than the Kremlin has expected, inflicting serious damage on the country's economy.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has just warned Russian forces to save their lives and retreat as he said Ukrainians are standing firm in the fight against their army.
To illustrate the latest developments, here's a list of posts from all over the internet that shed light on this brutal conflict.

Long live the independent nation of badasses! I hope Putin gets overthrown over this.

You can also look up a list of Russian brands in your country and protest with your wallet. Also, check the barcodes on the goods you buy: if they start with 460 to 469 they came from Russia, and 481 is Belarus.

It is actually a plausible scenario. Not claiming it will happen, but given the direction in which it's all going, it's a possibility (one that the whole world hopes for, as it would be the most peaceful outcome, really). I just wish he would be prosecuted by the Hague and put in prison as a war criminal, at this point. Whatever happens, we can all agree we hope the worst doesn't happen.

Bored Panda, I honestly do not understand why you are still censoring strong language in posts like these, especially when that is just want authoritarian goverments do. In a time of war when an entire country has been invaded by an insane despot, yes, I believe that we can openly say F*U*C*K PUTIN.
So now BP is censoring 1 letter in a foreign swear-word? In a war? Get a fŭckîng grip you fŭckîng muppets!
Dear Ukrainian Pandas, so, is it "nakhuy" (what I read everywhere) or "na khuy" (to the c**k) with a space? Cпасибі! (PS: yes, I learned to swear like a Russian sailor from my East-German Russian teacher, very ladylike 65-year-old, but it doesn't help at this moment with this quote.🥺)
Load More Replies...RIP to all of the Ukrainians who have lost their lives to this insanity, sympathies to those people they left behind. Kudos to everyone who has protested, especially those protesters in Russia, who protested knowing they would not be treated well as a result.
The worst one I heard lately was a poor woman who had a missile come in through her window. It ripped her leg off, and she eventually died. Russia claims to not to be attacking civilian areas, but it's all BS. They claim it's Ukraine's fault for putting military weaponry like tanks, etc. in their own civilian neighborhoods. I don't know if Russia is doing it on purpose or it's accidental, but Putin sure as HELL doesn't give a sh-it either way.

Load More Replies...Western intelligence officials repeatedly said over the weekend that Russian forces have encountered "stiffer than expected" resistance from an outmanned and outgunned Ukrainian military.
As a result, Russia has thus far failed to take key cities across Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv. On Sunday, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled a Russian advance on a strategic airfield near Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, which has been under near-constant attack.
However, the situation on the battlefield could change very quickly as Russian forces keep up their assault. They still greatly outnumber Ukrainian forces, and Russia continues to maneuver its units into position around major urban centers.
"This is how Poland is welcoming refugees from Ukraine at train stations and they spent whole night there too - with food, water, clothes, cars, accommodations, medical and psychological help. It’s not government funded- these are people spending own money and time."
Same at the Romanian border. I am involved in group of volunteers offering support to refugees. You should see their eyes filling with tears when they see us and understand they are safe. And their children's joy as they are given chocolate and toys
No one understands the realities of being invaded better than the Poles. They are bright stars in a quickly darkening night.
Thank you for welcoming refugees and for your kindness, Poland.

The total opposite of Putin, or Trump, or the other narcissitic authoritorian shitbags out there
Please don't say "Russian". Putin is not one of us. He just stole our identity.
Putin is going to lose in so many ways. Even his own military and people are seeing a mad man.
A senior US defense official reportedly said on Sunday that Russia has only used two-thirds of the total combat power applied to the mission, leaving a significant amount of forces available to press the offensive.
And on Monday, a miles-long convoy of Russian military vehicles was bearing down on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, while intelligence also suggests Belarus is prepared to join the Russian invasion.
I don't think you can steal a tank from soldiers enthusiastically pursuing an invasion. I wonder what percentage of the Russian army are following orders simply because they're scared of the consequences of disobeying them.
There are lots of clips with captured Russian soldiers. They are heartbreakingly young, scared , and most of them lied to, being told to march forward because it's all a military exercise. The ones that are coming into Ukraine now probably know what's going on already, and many of them are in between Putin's wrath and Ukrainians fighting for their land and freedom. They are Putin's vest bomb - not human beings, less than disposable - in his own suicide mission. Because it's a suicide what we are witnessing. I wonder what the parents of those kids think about this. About their sons, who will never be heroes, who will not be seen as more than a symbol of a brutal occupation and who will likely die frightened or survive in shame and trauma for nothing more than a dictator's ultimate and possibly final act of madness. Russia must take Putin down. He should be taken down by Russians.

And the fact Russia launched troops into Ukraine from their territory. Reportedly also Belarusian squads in the invasion.

Do you know that 95 % of people of Belarus are against putin, being part of Russian , against war and a LOT of Belarusian men joined Ukrainian army to defend Ukraine? Do you even know that people who are in Belarus right now did not elect Lukashenko since 2000? He was electing himself? Load More Replies...I can't believe the gall of Russia and Belarus over the weekend offering to host peace talks at the border between Belarus and Ukraine. Ukraine felt obligated to send a delegation, then 24 hours later Belarus says as F**k it, we can't lie, we are for Russia and are gonna help them with our own army. Was there EVER a time when this invasion was not going to happen? Putin you are a self serving, lying sack of s**t and so is anyone who supports your brand of so called leadership.
"Ukrainian Soldiers Spotted A Freezing Puppy Alone Outside, And Took Him Into Their Post. He Now Stands Guard For Them. They've Named Him Rambo."
If anything happens to that puppy, I will personally slap Putin in his stupid gross wrinkly face
Putin, who probably thought Ukrainians would greet his tanks with flowers, might have misjudged not only the country's ability and will to defend itself, but also just how hard a line the international community would take against Russia in the face of an invasion.
For years, the Russian president has faced very little pushback from the West over his annexation of Ukraine's Crimea peninsula, his brutal support for the Syrian regime, and aggression in Georgia.
"17% od Ukrainian army are women. Absolutely bada**"

This is really disturbing. No businessmen should be able to affect the course of an international military conflict. What would you think if he chose to support Russia instead? The amount of power these billionaires have to affect the lives of so many people is just... disturbing.

Elon Musk does this for optics. He praised the FluTruxKlan occupation in Canada. He can go do what everyone is telling the Russian warships to do.
All their strong words aside, Western countries still bought gas from Russia, offered a safe haven to its rich oligarchs, and retained relatively normal diplomatic relations with Moscow.
But this time, the Western world and its allies are united like never before. From unprecedented sanctions that are already hurting the Russian economy to international sport slowly departing from the regime, even Switzerland will forego its famous neutrality.
That must hurt, when your own country acts this way.

I love this story. Read it earlier today!! I'll help with bail money. Who else is in??
I heard he it was 8 million and the owner was the weapons supplier to Putin.
By Sunday, four days after the Russian attack began, at least 200,000 Ukrainians (mostly children, women, and elders), had entered Poland. Men considered fit for military service are currently not allowed to leave the country.
However, estimates by the United Nations and refugee organizations say the number of people who want to flee the Russian invasion can be as high as 4 to 7 million. How many will actually try to cross Ukraine's borders depends entirely on how the war develops.
"Road service employees are dismantling road signs across Ukraine in order to complicate navigation for the invading Russian troops"
Try it without any visual confirmation at all even with GPS and get back to me :) I'd say it's pretty smart. Confusion is a powerful weapon. Old war trick against attacking forces.
What a great idea! I wonder who came up with it? "As thousands of Nazi troops were preparing to cross the channel as part of Operation Sea Lion in 1940, British military planners ordered the removal of road signs to confuse invading troops and possible German spies"
If those idiots use street signs instead of navsat, they deserve this. Then again, every little bit helps!

"I Think This About Somes Up The Performance Of The Russian Army Thus Far."
This is completely logical. Russian propaganda paints the russian soldiers as liberators of the oppressed Ukrainian people, so if they believed their own propaganda, they expected the police to be glad to help them...
Exactly, they've been told they're saving them from nazis like in the second world war. They were certainly welcomed back then so in their minds why would they not be now.
Load More Replies...Just an idea...maybe they were alone without gas and then went to the Ukrainian police because they did not want to fight?
that's my guess too, they do not look that unhappy with the situation.
Load More Replies...The soldiers have been brainwashed for years to believe they're fighting for a good cause. They probably believe Ukraine to be thankful for their help. They're probably no idiots, but brave fools who are now starting to see what is truly going on. Laugh at Putin, but do not laugh at the soldiers who believe they're fighting a good fight.
They were told they were liberating a country and they believed it. The press here in the U.S. are reporting that Ukraine is letting captured soldiers call home and that's really pretty brilliant. The Russian people need to know that their children are not conquering heroes, they're cannon fodder for the wealthy elite and a leader that seems more and more to be mad. I feel sorry for the average Russian, I doubt any of them want this.
The propaganda war has lead to a lot of strange thinking, it seems. News agency RIA accidentally posted a victory statement that had been prepared to celebrate the "historic victory" and the "re-unification of the russian and ukrainian people" and" but the Russian world, that is, three states, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, acting in geopolitical terms as a single whole". They are already hailing the "construction of a new world order". (See https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/t2vz4v/ria_news_accidentally_posted_an_article_about/).
Load More Replies...Maybe they just don’t want to be there fighting and killing for nothing. Giving up would see them tortured by Putin’s cronies. Being an ‘idiot’ is a way to get removed from duty and placed in a cell where they don’t have to commit murder. We might read many more stories of ‘idiot’ Russian soldiers. Perhaps they’re surrendering without being obvious. Perhaps they really are idiots. I don’t know.
Thats my thought. Its maybe the only way to keep from having to fight.
Load More Replies...I dont think the Russian soldiers knew that Ukraine doesn't want them there
Russian soldiers: "We ran out of gas for the tank."... Ukrainian police: "Glad to hear it."
Laugh we may, but it won't be Putin that feels it. It will be all the ordinary Russian people that are suddenly hit with useless currency and shops running out of food. Putin has millions, if not billions, salted away and a huge yacht to live on if things get hairy. He is your typical movie villain. Though the world, it seems, is all out of movie heroes to bring him down. Except Zelenskyy. We can hope while there is hope. I wish the world could do more but until that changes GO UKRAINE! We're with you.
Maybe it's an incentive for the Russian people to throw that piece of stinking s h i t out.

Russia has had some of the worst luck with leaders. I really feel for the citizens because we can't blame them for the actions of the ruling class.
This will end for Putin in one of two ways: 1) Godzillions of Russians defect, thereby creating a huge brain drain of the country. What’s left is too stupid to run it, and Putin is forced to say “Uncle”. This is the better outcome for Putie, btw. 2) Russians who disagree with Putin and want him gone converge on the Kremlin en masse (or his dacha, or naked and hugging a bear in the woods, or wherever TF else he happens to be at that moment), drag him out, and “Ceaușescu” him—-and his entire posse—-on live TV. Then they can put the guy who ran against Putin in the last rigged election in charge of the country (and he better turn out like Zelenskyy or he’ll be out himself).

Poland has almost constantly been screwed over in the cause of history. They have only had a very short period where they could decide their own cause becuase they were not invaded by someone else. So why is it that difficult to understand that the Polish people are a bit "paranoid"?
A little sliver of a silver lining in all this is better than none at all I guess :)
Evelyn Farkas, who served as deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia from 2012 to 2015, thinks that Putin’s endgame is nothing short of a revanchist imperialist remaking of the globe to take control of the entire former Soviet space.
"He has complete disregard for international law, norms and human rights and will only be stopped by maximum economic, political and military pressure," Farkas told Politico. "Russia is ... a rogue state on par with North Korea and Iran. Now, it is our obligation to protect the Ukrainian people and government, to do better in terms of helping them secure their airspace and to launch an active insurgency."
In addition, Farkas believes the West must slap the toughest sanctions on Russia. "We can blunt the impact to allies and partners dependent on Russian oil and gas by launching a Berlin airlift of fuel and pulling out all the stops to avoid this war from spreading to NATO territory and becoming a world war."
Even if the Russians manage a complete takeover - the underground resistance will be enormous.
And the death and destruction will continue. Unfortunately I can't see Putin's ego ever letting it go. It will only end with his death or him being overthrown by his own military.

"Putin’s endgame is nothing short of an imperialist remaking of the globe to take control of the entire former Soviet space." I read and copied his speech. His goal is to lead Russia back to her original borders. The intent is clear. I've met Mexican nationals who want their land back. They think white people stole their ancestral home. That's not what happened. Mexico had treaties and claims on Texas. But, the whole reason Santa Ana made his deal with Green Dewitt was to have Texas tamed and liveable. In other words, run out the natives, American Indians, who were too difficult for Santa Ana to fight. My ancestors rebelled over taxation and a tiny cannon in Gonzales, Texas. Our flag was white with the black outline of a cannon and "Come and Take It" emblazoned across the top. Whose land is Texas? Is it mine, my ancestors? Return to Mexico? Or, become an American Indian reservation? Russia would have to turn back the clock on many people to achieve Putin's goal.
I know this doesn’t quite sound right but there are plenty of peaceful Russians out there who have no control over Putin and do not align with him. Punishing everyone is just unnecessary.

Very clever. Never underestimate the ingenuity of a person defending his own back yard.

They would and they are, but Russian soldiers had their cell phones taken from them.

"Man Tries To Stop Russian Military Convoy With His Bare Hands"
I've laughed my head off reading about the encounter of commercial Georgian ship with a Russian one in the Black Sea. The Russian ship was out of fuel, the Georgians refused to give them any and suggested they could row back to Russia. :)))
Because Serbian leadership looooves Putin, he is their best buddy, a role - model, a hero. And it's not really that surprising, because Serbian President Vučić would like to do the same thing to Serbian neighbours that Putin is doing to Ukraine right now. Serbia has refused to condemn the war and decided not to impose sanctions to Russia, so there you have it, you can travel from Belgrade to Russia.
Load More Replies...Cowards. They know what they're doing is wrong. That's not a commercial flight is it?
Belgrade is in Serbia, look for the yellow dot at the lower left side. Anyone wanting to fly from Belgrade to Moscow (upper right part of the map picture) has to fly the route marked with the purple line.

Load More Replies...I've seen a psychologist break down how Putin does this. Essentially, he emphasises his 'Alpha' status by using deniable plausibility whilst making it clear that he is lying. So he knows that you know the truth and that you both no there is f**k all you can do about it because you can't 100% prove it. Hence he likely pre recorded everything this was so as to mock everyone.
It's the official "TV speech recording location", carefully selected by public relations specialists. Everything on the desk and in the background will be put into exact, psychologically planned "look good, but not perfect, as if this place is totally not planned out, but always like this" positions before Putin even enters the room - in the clothes that the same public relations specialists selected. So it's normal to look the same. If anything in the picture was different, it would be different, because a PR person PLANNED it to be different to convey some subconscious message to the viewer.
The Ukrainian man says: "Are you guys broken down?" to which the Russian officers replied: "Out of fuel."
The Ukrainian man asked: "Can I tow you back... to Russia?"
The Russian army officials then laugh at the man's question.
"Do you know where you're going?" the Ukrainian man follows up with.
Russian officers: "No, no...[inaudible].
"To Kyiv, damn it, f*** off...what do they say on the news?"
The Ukrainian man hits back with: "Well, while everything is on our side, yours and prisoners surrender well...because the boys also do not know where they are going?
"And I asked the whole column, people like you: no one knows where they are where they are going."
Given Putin's habit of controlling and manipulating information, I do wonder how much factual information the Russian soldiers have.
Gee, the Russian Army is running out of gas? Hell, Ukraine got this, easy-peasy. Russia’s going to be leaving lots of military vehicles that are out of gas on the side of the road. Couple gallons in the tank (and maybe a splash on the carb if it’s really dry), and the Ukraine Army has a new tank, Jeep, troop transport, plus—-Bonus!—-whatever ordnance was left behind because it’s too f*****g heavy to carry if you have to walk.
They must not have logisticians in the Russian military! 🤣🤣
Load More Replies...Might be years before we know the truth of each sides losses. Yesterday I was reading about the brief war between Russia and China in the 60s and the casualty estimates from either side were hugely different and no ones ever had a chance to resolve the discrepancy.
Why do you think the Russians brought along several mobile crematories with them? So the body count would be much less.....reported that is.
The casualties Russia is suffering are really, really wild - while the Ukrainian defense ministry figures are obviously inflated, reports from independent third parties are putting the numbers up close to the 4000 mark at the end of the fourth day of fighting. As comparison, the US had 4331 casualties in Iraq - over the entire 15 years of that boondoggle. Russian losses are just shockingly large. (I should note, a higher percentage of casualties in this conflict seem to be resulting in capture rather than death, so there's that as well.)
The soldier's moms need to take a bus to the Ukraine and retrieve their sons like they did in Chechnya
Load More Replies...Note: Losses in a military sense also mean injured, captured or otherwise not being able to fight besides being dead.
Putin is going to lose in so many ways. Even his own military and people are seeing a mad man.
The loss of the armored vehicles and tanks is pretty amazing. That is no small amount of firepower.
I recommend looking at the numbers of the "Winter War" between the USSR and Finland - both fielding equipment and loses on the russian side.... Deja Vu?
