That's not exactly needless to say - but I'm relieved that's the case.

That was very sweet of them to try and catch her. Haha, what a cute family photo.

Nope. Grew up on a dairy farm with over 200 cows. Birthing calves was a common place event and I don't believe it. Never heard any of them make much noise at all - cows giving birth for the first time, cows having difficulty and needing a vet to help them give birth. Nope.

He probably just assumed it was a cow giving birth, more likely just a hungry cow. Hungry cows make lots of noise, or maybe even a cow recently separated from her calf.

Well, that probably would have been the noise that the cow made AFTER she gave birth. Because that's when they take away the calf so that we humans can drink the breast-milk that was meant to raise a baby cow. Leaving a distraught mama cow that will call out for her baby for days. That's one of many reasons why I chose to go vegan.

I can personally vouch for this being true having grown up on a dairy farm.

Cows waiting to be milked are noisy. Cows giving birth, not so much. Sorry....former dairy farmer here too....

That is a stressed cow not a birthing cow, farms really do talk c**p to cover up horrible practices.

I'm just picturing the classic "Here Comes the Bride" music being played while being constantly interrupted by frantic, spastic "MOOS!" XD!

I have spent a lot of time around cattle, and they can be very noisy, especially when they are hungry and their food is late, or they want to be milked in their udders are heavy and uncomfortable. Having a wedding on a farm means that you have disrupted the normal schedule for the day, and the animals will notice!

If you want to hear a commotion, go to a ranch when the calves are weaned from their mothers. It can drive you insane by the third day. I assume maybe something like this actually took place. Cows are mostly silent during birth except for a few low key grunts.

New life. New lives as one. Sounds like it was a very moo-ving ceremony. (Had to be done. Sorry)

This is actually a win. Two people and another little one started a new life together. They should visit the calf on every anniversary.

Cows usually make a noisy, great fuss when the calf is taken away from them and not when it's being born. This is probably not the sweet event people are imagining.

I'm a little curious... What does a "cow giving birth" sound like? Lots of mooing?

more likely a distraught mother cow calling for her stolen baby, as all calves are taken from their mothers shortly after birth, to become either veal (if a boy), or a future milker (if a girl). So super sad. Watch DAIRY IS SCARY if you want proof etc.

Rosie Hamilton, you obviously never have had natural child birth. Women don't think it's beneficial to make noise and we don't feel better if we "yell" during child birth. It it's something that naturally happens, not done on purpose.

Why take calves from the Mama so soon? What are you going to do with it? Stupid hoomens. Spoil something nice.

Dumb humans want to drink cows milk - a substance perfectly suited for calves and not people.

For the record: Not every calf is immediately removed from its mother. Even on a dairy farm, the calf might stay with its mother for quite a while. It depends on the type of farm (a small family farm or a large industrial farm, etc.)

They'll still kick up a fuss when it happens - cows care about their young. 😢

I have a niece that does professional riding and showing of horses. She said that why anyone would want to have their wedding, in full gown and bridesmaid dresses, in the same pasture with cow manure is beyond her....

Highly unlikely to be in a field like that. I expect it was in a field that was lying fallow or maybe they rent it out for weddings. Also, cow manure goes rock hard when it dries - it isn't going to stick to any dress and is obvious and easily avoidable.

Our cows are NOT quiet during calving. The farms are close, sometimes neighbors hear and ask if all went well. If the wind blows the wrong direction, it is sometimes necessary to inform neighbors that it is time .

A 12 year old who 'kept getting refills' of 'spiked lemonade' would do more than 'feel a bit weird towards the end of the night' - I seriously question this one.

A young child reacting to parents or others kissing is understandable and normal but a grown woman having that reaction is childish lol.

The father is a piece of s**t. Even if the bride was a terrible person, the father just f*****g ruined an expensive event and caused his son a s**t ton of problems. What did he accomplish? Also, he isn't the one who has to spend the foreseeable future with her.
