Ugh, yes, there is some good stuff but mostly it’s all boring and generic and the “pop” music all sounds alike. Pop today sounds like it belongs being played faintly in the background at a Meijer.

I have to go searching for 'oldies' because everything playing is garbage. I'll take no lyrics and or oldies compared to this. There is no content because the artists are a logo and have NO CONTENT.

That is so true. But here in Minnesota we have a radio station called The Current. They are publically funded and play some of the best music most radio stations would never play. From The Beatles to Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and everything in between.

This is why you go to Bandcamp and hunt for indie music videos on YouTube and Vimeo instead of listening to commercial radio stations and watching commercial music channels.

Both songs with lyrics and instrumental songs can be immensely powerful!

The whole reason that it's popular is because a lot of people like it. You shouldn't be shamed because you're adding on to the list of people that like the song
