No the balcony is level with the front of the roof, it's the wall behind the balcony that's skewed.

Rooftop patio hence the drainpipe. They usually don't have gutters.

Like its proportions... Different door (and a fresh coat of paint) would make a big difference.

The angle of the roof/windows is off... I would have let the porch overhang farther and benefitted more from the shade

Those are actually common in Spain. It's only for lightning and ventilation purposes.

This was not originally a house. The garage doors have a ramp, that's indicative of truck access. Also, the cars are parked next to the building. This is/was a commercial building.

Looks like they built along the existing roads, nothing weird here. That land was probably expensive, bulding square house would be a waste of space and look even weirder given the placement.

Because it is not meant too? Big windows = hot in summer, or keep the curtains/blinds closed all day so why place them there?
