The problem is a lot of sellers use the return adhesive strip to seal the package, so then it doesn't work anymore (although you could probably tape it.)

You don't turn it inside out. If you open it at the perforated line, there's a second line of double stick tape you can peel and reseal the bag.

Depends on if the item is small and light. They still send bigger orders in boxes.

I always turn them inside out to ship them back even if they're not designed for it. A little packing tape seals it shut.

Yes you can peel but it is very messy if the mango is ripe and juicy. Most people will cut two cheeks from each side and cross-cut them to form a lattice pattern for easy consumption.

Adding oil to the pot gets oil on your noodles. Then sauce doesn’t adhere to them properly. Most recipes will tell you not to use oil but to reduce heat and stir.

So I always thought that the reason oil was added to a pot of water for pasta was so the pasta wouldn't get stuck together? I've also have heard and used a little salt in the water to prevent the pasta sticking together..does anyone have any other suggestions besides a wooden spoon which has never worked for me btw or standing over it and adjusting temp as needed??

Never do this if you're cooking anything that needs the water to soak in, like pasta and dried beans. The oil will coat the pasta/bean, preventing water from getting in. Try this instead: TURN DOWN THE HEAT under the pot. You can keep a boil going without full heat and then you won't have boil overs. Or maybe even, a bigger pot!

It works just as well in the water, a tablespoon of olive oil (not extra virgin) will bind the extra starch and keep it from boiling over as well as add flavor to the noodles

Sidney Raz has become a viral sensation on TikTok for sharing these videos of “things he didn’t know until he was in his thirties”. He covers anything from how to properly wrap a present to how to crack an egg without breaking the yolk, and viewers are obsessed with his simple tutorials. He’s amassed 4.3 million followers over the past few years and has shared over 130 tips, tricks and life hacks. And lucky for us, Bored Panda was previously able to get in touch with Sidney to discuss how this viral video series began.

The LA-native, who’s now 34, shared in a 2021 interview that the videos took off after he shared one stating, “Here's something you should know about being in your 30s. It's better than your 20s.” After that, he began proving himself right with many more videos, noting that the most popular ones teach viewers about how to better utilize everyday items. “Travel pillows, English muffins, trash bags, plungers, and so on," Sidney explained. "We all use the same things every day and [without questioning them] because that's how we were taught, but we have no idea why or if it's even right. So when I post a video showing a different way, it blows minds."

Sidney also previously told Bored Panda that most of us learn plenty in our twenties that can help us through the rest of our lives as well. “We tend to experience both heartbreak and true joy before our thirties too,” the life hack expert noted. “There are large ups and downs but, hopefully, they help us to be more empathetic people. They’re hard lessons but needed."

"I’m learning all these things too, and I don’t want anyone to feel as alone as I have in the past when I didn’t know something [older folks understood quite well]," the TikToker added. We’re all on a constant journey of growth, so whether you’re 18 or 55, there’s probably something you can learn from Sidney’s videos!

That's why if you have greasy skin; you massage in a natural oil - i.e. Coconut, Jojoba, Almond -- on your dirty face to REMOVE the oil, rinse with clean water and you're good to go. Counter-intuitive, I know. But the worst thing you can use on your skin is a harsh cleanser, which strips your skin and stimulates production of MORE oils. I've had oily skin most of my life and using (only all-natural plant oils) have kept my skin balanced. Never had an issue with pimples.

I learned from a previous coworker that you can just fill things with glue sticks, warm them up (heat gun or oven on low heat are fine) and have the glue neatly flow into all the parts of the item. This is sort of obvious in retrospect of course, but it changed the way I think about hot glue.

Wet a paper towel with vinegar, wrap around faucet, let sit for... maybe 30mins or so, or even an entire night (depending on the staining), wipe clean. You're welcome 🙂

Broccoli should neither be chopped before cooking nor steamed. Chop broccoli to the desired size and then microwave for 2 min and rearrange then microwave for another 2 minutes. It’s fast, retains all of the nutrients and is not soggy. Also, chopping 212 degree broccoli is going to burn your hands. This tip I learned from Alton Brown, so not just some dude on the nets.

If your broccoli is a bit droopy, then cut off about an inch/2.5 cm from the end of the stem, and pop that end into a glass of cool water and leave for a hour or so, until the broccoli feels firm to the touch. It help to freshen the broccoli.

If there are any pandas out there reading this who are still in their twenties, Rachel has some wise words for you as well. “When you think life is too much (too demanding, too fast-paced, too confusing, too brutal, or too boring), take a deep breath and keep walking ahead,” she told Bored Panda. “Experience it all. Sooner or later, it will all make sense. Nothing you go through right now is random, and it prepares you for something greater coming your way. I know, such a cliche, but it is a cliche because it's true.”

And on a practical note, Rachel also added that it’s crucial to “learn how to manage your finances early on!”

You also have to watch for sun damage/rot on the side walls of your tires. Wear your glasses for this one, if needed. Look for tiny webs of cracking. You may want to use a finer to push the sidewalls a bit to enhance the cracking. You can have just a few thousand miles on your tires and lots of tread, but if the tires are old and spend a lot of time in the sun they will rot.

But if you're using it for balance issues (no injuries), like I do, use your dominant hand to hold it. This gives you more control. Per my rheumatologist.

Exactly. Same type of doctor told me the same thing. I get dizzy spells, balance issues and pain issues. Because of combined issues, the doctor suggested using the right hand, since two issues require dominant hand and one issue requires opposite side.

If you are on two crutches, and need to climb stairs you may want to put both under one arm and use the handrail with the other hand. Per my Dad who was climbing a steep set of stairs after breaking an ankle and fell and dislocated his shoulder because he was doing what they show you at the Dr office and not what I describe above

I need a cane sometimes, and this is not correct. Perhaps it depends on the type of injury, or where it is. Mine is a trick ankle that will act up for a few days. I have tried both, and keeping it on the side with the injury so I'm pushing down with essentially a third leg, is the best. If it's on the other side, I lean that way and that makes it harder to walk and hurts my back.

If you send a text with a typo, you can go back an edit by holding a finger on it to bring up the option. You can also delete one, but it has a big old “this message has been edited” on it. And the recipient can still open it and read it.

Wrong, text messages cannot be edited. The bubble is blue, the bubble around regular text messages are green. The blue bubble is when you are chatting with another iphone user, using iMessages, which are not regular text messages.

I don't know of an android phone that can't do this. I've been buying Samsung phones since the very first Note came out in 2011 with a large screen when Apple kept saying no one would want a phone the size of a brick or see any need for a screen larger than 3". All my phones since 2011 have had a quick way to see your entire catalog of installed apps.

If there are holes in the bandage, cover the top with Vaseline or lotion. Let set 5 to 10 minutes. Then peel. Oils loosen adhesives. Same as how you can remove stickers from your car windows by covering them with mayonnaise and using a plastic scraper.

What the fresh hell is this. I stayed calm at the microwaving of the plastic bag. Winced hard at the Reynolds wrap, but bit my tongue. I know parents are busy and don't have time and we're all using more plastics than we should, myself included -- but Lunchables and Capri Sun are a bridge too far for me. There, I said it. But TIL that both products have the same parent company, Kraft, so it would stand to reason that they would ingeniously have the juice fit inside the tray. Lastly, IF for kids (and not this grown dude), they are spending most of their lunchtime getting that bedeviling straw into the juice, bending the tip, breaking the straw in half, losing the suction, and hurriedly spraying the rest into their upturned maw. NOT, I would argue, artfully rearranging their bento display.

Scarily, yes. I used to eat Lunchables for lunch in elementary school. Not every day, they're relatively expensive, but sometimes. I liked the pizza ones that come with little dough crackers, tomato sauce and cheese and you assemble your tiny cold pizzas yourself. But I also drank Little Hugs as a kid, and those are just a plastic barrel of sugared chemicals, so my taste was probably questionable.

There's a brand of Nissin noodles in the UK and Europe (maybe Japan too since Nissin is based there) that come with plastic lids that have tiny holes in them, which allows steam to escape whilst they cook, and make it easy to drain the excess water. :D then the pot and lid is recyclable!

you generally use the long end in first for speed, as you can spin it between your fingers, and a lot of times there isn't room to spin all the way around if you start with the short end in. Either way, you finish with the short end in for leverage/torque

I open my package by getting a glass out of the cupboard and turning on a tap. It saves so much plastic.

Does he know about the plastic rings on cans or 6 packs? There is a dotted line and if you pull it, it makes it all pull apart so your drinks come out easy and there are no circles for turtles to get their head stuck in

The sleeves are a crisper and they're a holder that you tear away in order to expose more of the tasty goodness as you eat from the crisper.

We always make ours in the oven with a rack. Allows the grease to drain off

I don't even bother with a rack, we put foil in a sheet pan. Easy clean up.

I used to work kitchen on a military base, breakfast bacon was cooked in the ovens, you could fit 10 full trays in one oven, there were 4 ovens. Without this you just couldn't cook enough bacon

In the Netherlands there is a deposit for empty cans. If they are dented you can not feed them in the machine.

In Finland, slightly dented cans are eligible for return. The machine will return the deposit as long as it can read the barcode.

I rarely drink from cans, but when I do, I always put a dent below the mouth hole. It makes it easier to hold and the liquid pours better.
