The Series “USA Geography” Features Humorous Illustrations Of Each State In The USA (27 Pics)
Nathan W Pyle is an American artist known for his series of comics Strange Planet. The Instagram profile where Pyle shares short stories about the life of aliens has gathered over 6 million followers. However, recently Nathan presented his community with a collection of brand-new illustrations featuring the states of the USA. The first post presents his version of Ohio, Missouri, Oklahoma, Minnesota, California, South California, and Kansas: the author presented the new series as “USA Geography”.
So far, we can admire 27 cute drawings with a doodle-like quality. Each one of them showcases a cartoon character in the shape of the U.S., with a unique feature representing individual states. We have compiled a list of all the states shared by Pyle as of today. The series will continue, so if you do not want to miss any state, perhaps the one you live in, you should definitely follow Nathan’s social media profiles.

Missouri
That's the first nice thing anyone has ever said about us!🥹
The series "USA Geography" is the most recent creation by Nathan W Pyle. The state illustrations have gained a lot of interest among the artist's followers, despite being shared on his social media for only a short time. Nathan adds new states to this jolly collection on a daily basis. We encourage you to follow Pyle's Instagram to stay up to date with all the new creations from the series. Since people have loved these humorous illustrations so much, Nathan decided to use them as a theme for some merch that everyone can get from his online store. The T-shirts seem to be in high demand at the moment, but there are also a bunch of other useful gadgets like pillows, mugs, mouse pads, phone cases, and others - all featuring prints from the "USA Geography" series.
California
This is currently at #2 with Missouri as #1. I'm afraid if they have Florida...
I hope you're not lumping California into the same category as Florida, because I'll fight you XD

Nice to not be thought of as a glove for once, lol.
Load More Replies...In some of the posts, Nathan adds extra information related to the series, allowing us to get a glimpse into his creative process and the inspiration behind "USA Geography." When asked if the inspiration for this project came after his earlier post, where the artist was cutting the states' shapes out of graham crackers, Pyle answered, "Yes, I have been thinking about state shapes quite a bit."
Texas
If the guitar has no power 20% of the time and won't work if it's too hot or too cold, sure. Also, it needs to periodically murder its smallest strings and any that might be brown.
Kansas
Another person was wondering if Nathan has considered turning this funny series into a book. The artist answered, "Maybe! I am currently constructing it on the fly, in front of everyone." While following the "USA Geography" posts shared so far, we can clearly notice that the community loves these illustrations, and they eagerly await more. The artist mentioned that he is "determined to draw a design for every state (including AK and HI)," so we should definitely expect to see new additions to the series very soon.
Ohio
Really? I live in a shirt pocket? No better comparison? *Storms off in huff*
Better than the arm pit of the USA as we call Ohio in Michigan

Really Bored Panda? Censoring the double s in Massachusetts?? EDIT: it's been uncensored now :)
As a ma$$hole, I always describe the state in terms of how similar it looks to the US map with the cape being florida and the upper corner being maine.
I think it looks more like a tow truck, because everyone here drives like c**p.
In one of the most recent posts, Nathan also answered a question regarding the "anatomy" of the series. One of his followers was curious if "'X state' is the 'X body part' of the USA?" and Pyle explained, "Uh, no, there is not much anatomical continuity between these drawings. Think of the contiguous US as analogous to the Genie in Aladdin, spinning into a new form each time."
We are looking forward to seeing the next states Nathan will come up with soon. In the meantime, you can take a look at what the artist has created so far and let us know which one of the designs is your favorite in the comments below.
New York
Wisconsin
Aw! I'm from Wisconsin and I love this idea thanks!
Load More Replies...Which would make Tanzania a happy big ghost. Seriously, Wisconsin and Tanzania have eerily similar shapes, right down to the Door Peninsula and Washington Island looking like Zanzibar and Pemba Island!
Wisconsin looks more like a blocked-up heart full of cheese and obesity.
Mehhh I don’t think so. Maybe if it was upside down, but still kind of ehh
Load More Replies...Colorado
Hehe so cute! I live in Colorado and can confirm, the US's heart beat is stable (:
As an EKG technician, I can state with confidence that those are pretty bad vital signs to have.
Idaho
I suppose because it's only the head peeking out of the bushes and not the full body?
Load More Replies...Hmmm. I have not associated "shy"with Idaho, ever,I think. Maybe "Beware the Unicorn". She ain't shy.
"Shy Unicorn" is armed. & I don't mean her horn. F*** around & find out. 😉
Are militia members shy? Are unicorns brown, and do they live on dust farms?
I can't tell if this is accurate or not. The worst part is that I literally live in Idaho and I know what you mean but don't at the same time
Load More Replies...Vermont
i'm not from the USA and i didn't even know Vermont existed lol
A lot of people in the US don't know that Vermont exists, it is pretty tiny as states go.
Load More Replies...Cabot's Hunter's Sharp cheddar is our favorite!! Born and raised a Vermonter!
Load More Replies...Vermont - a place virtually nobody outside the USA could find on a map. Or wants to.
Most of my classmates will very adamantly inform you that Vermont in fact does not exist, and we live in the USA.
Load More Replies...I actually have very little bad to say about Vermont. And very little to say about it period.
I would also argue it could be the maple syrup shot glass of the USA, or pint glass of beer of the USA.
Oklahoma
the ccoking pot thing for Oklahoma has been used forever... I think they were going for "original"
Load More Replies...Oklahoma is a pointing finger, telling you which way to go if you're not interested in marrying your cousin or climbing a water tower to protect her honor.
Maryland
Maryland is the diving line, after which the US starts to get more racist and crazy.
Virginia
Virginia is shaped like a dog turd in honor of their governor Greg Youngkin.
West Virginia
mine isn't loading but I just gotta COUNTRY ROOAADSSSS TAKKEE MEE HOOOOMEEE TOO THE PLAAAACEE I BELOOOOONGUH
WV born and bred. I have a college education, all my teeth and not married to my cousin. Thank you for the sweet nod to our gorgeous mountain state!
New Jersey
Of course you do. As someone also originally from Jersey it's better than the one I've always heard. New Jersey: Armpit of the USA. It's true on many levels.
Load More Replies...New jersey: ozone hole of the USA. (I do not mean offense to people in new jersey. I just know they have some pretty bad air quality.)
Minnesota
Minnesota is one of those states between Illinois and Washington that no one can identify on a map. This routinely pisses off all 12 of their residents.
Hope it stays that way! Nothing to see here! Too much snow! Always cold! (We're the top relocation area of those moving due to climate change.)
Load More Replies...Pennsylvania
I'm sad now. I live in two states, yet neither of them are on here...
North Carolina
I guess that makes South Carolina the plate? Or maybe the napkin?
i live in sc and i've always thought it looked like a tortilla chip
Load More Replies...What about the barbque in NC Or at least the seafood I live in NC Great state
as a north carolinian, i proudly accept this post. now who wants some craft beer and bbq??
North Carolina is balanced on the back of a turtle. If all of the racists living in the western portion were to die or move, their beach would tip into the sea in a matter of minutes.
hey now, why all the downvotes? my grandparents live in transylvania county and uhhh, yikes.
Load More Replies...South Carolina
Super Country? (Trying to think of what the acronym could also stand for. I live there)
it's like north carolina's weird sibling (no offense south carolinians)
As someone who is also pure South Carolina, I completely agree. It sucks here.
Load More Replies...Nevada
These are so great! Can we have more? How about Oregon or Washington?
Washington
The entire state is not rainy. Sure, the west side of the state does get a fair amount of rain, but Central Washington is essentially a desert and Eastern Washington is quite sunny and warm in the Summer and Fall.
As someone who lives in the very very verrryyy upper left corner of Washington, I can say it doesn't always rain here peeps.
Utah
My family is catholic and take hella pics, I think it’s just Utahns. This list is weirdly accurate.
Load More Replies...extra participation point if you actually remember when cameras looked like that
Tennessee
This should’ve just been a basic guitar neck. People keep talking about country music when it comes to Tennessee, as if Memphis isn’t the birthplace of Rock and Roll (no, it’s not Cleveland). The stretch of I-40 that connects Memphis and Nashville is called “Music Highway” for a reason. Plus, a lot of musicians, from multiple genres, live in both cities. But…I do have to admit that I still like this one, anyway ;)
Georgia
Illinois
I believe he tries to keep his art family-friendly.
Load More Replies...As someone who lives in Illinois, I am proud to be a hot winter beverage (I also love hot winter beverages)
I'm not American and it took me 20 pictures to realize it was the same shape and the only thing changing was the face and accessories. Before that, I was trying to figure out what was the real shape of the state. LOL. Well done.
The states are being shown, the general profile is that if the lower 48.
