Take a look at these pictures below. Now take a look again. Because while you might think that you're looking at pictures of Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh, and even Anne Frank, you're actually looking at Annelies Maria Francine, a 17 year-old Belgian girl with a flair for taking timeless photographs.

From Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind to Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks, there's no look that Annelies can't pull off with the right clothes and make-up and a bit of imagination. And whether she's turning herself into Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast or even Vermeer's famous Girl with a Pearl Earring, every look she recreates is nothing short of perfection.

"About two years ago I cut my hair into a pixie cut and my mother instantly told me that I reminded her of Audrey Hepburn," Annelies told Bored Panda. "A couple of days later I was in french class and my teacher also told me I looked like Audrey. I finally felt it was time to do some research and I gradually become obsessed with Audrey and vintage hollywood glamour."

When asked where she gets her awesome clothes, Annalies said: "Most of my clothes are from secondhand shops or small vintage shops near where I live, but sometimes I like to go on Etsy, because you can find some amazing vintage things on there!" So the next time you're looking at vintage photographs of timeless beauties, stop and think twice, because the girl in the pictures might not be who you expect.

actually Anne Frank was totally besotted with the glamorous icons of the day. I think she might have loved this list. Apart from being a symbol for the horrors of the holocaust she became, she was also a young teenage girl who would probably have loved being an style icon. I don't see that much distastefulness here.

I agree. Anyone who actually read the book knows that all she wanted to be a normal teenage girl. Not fame, or money.. Just go to school, be a writer, wife, mother, grandma. Fall in love. Kiss a boy.. She was a sweet young lady, who had the misfortune of being born where and when she was. There has been... I don't know the exact number... of girls just like her throughout history. But because we were lucky enough to read her story, private thoughts and prayers and feelings that I'm positive she never imagined being read by anyone else. So instead, we turn that poor girl into a martyr, and (at least in the US during the 80s-90s) required reading. We took her diary and forced kids in grade school to read it. In doing that, we completely ruined her legacy. And decades of kids grew up thinking it was a boring fictional story, and she wasn't real. That's not fair, to her or us. I read it at 8 yrs old, and knew she was real. Because of her, I'm a history buff. Avid reader too.

It's not because she is a role-model to people around the world.Everyone knows her story.Just because she had a really hard life with being jewish while Hitler was trying to kill the world doesn't mean someone can't dress up as her.She wanted to look like Anne for her own reasons.Stop hating just because she wanted to dress as someone who had alot of trouble in their life.

Smile is off, and the teeth were distracting, the deep yellowing Audrey never had. In a pic like this, where her teeth are front and center, was just too off. She couldn't maintain the illusion. But she's quite talented, and I'm impressed as hell. But this pic should be pulled, it brings too many contradictions, and is clearly better than what this picture shows. But I still think she's incredibly talented.

Wow, she even has the pale skin with red circles, which was a common occurrence in that era, thanks to the drugs in everything. Morphine, heroin, coke even had coke! You could get them in a variety of different meds, including some things given to babies, for teething and colic. Think your baby is a pest? Imagine how they would act once the tooth finally pushed through, so you don't need the teething crack anymore.. And just about the time you'd finally get to bed, and Boom! Hello withdrawl.

I've got a book from about the 1930s which mentions cocaine's use for treating nausea during pregnancy! You could have a newborn with drug withdrawal symptoms. Overdose could apparently be treated with a coffee enema. I'm not even making this up.

Tbh I don't think this one really works, but that's OK - Audrey Hepburn probably couldn't have pulled off the Marilyn look either (or vice versa).

Marilyn Monroe started out blondish as a baby but her natural hair color became reddish-brown as an adult. Perhaps had the vintage model dyed her hair that hue, she would look closer to Monroe but I still think this photo is cool.

Marilyn Monroe wasn't a natural blonde. However, if she did a reddish-brown (Monroe's actual color), it would have been closer. Still, love the photo.

You do a great job, getting your makeup to mimic the pallor, and therefore the rampant hunger, illness, and addiction to the morphine and heroin in the medicine they bought over the counter, and used it for themselves or their kids. I read about the "teething syrups" sold over the counter, one had at least 10 heavy narcotics in it. I think this might just be the reason why crib death was so incredibly common.
