I Celebrate The Day Of Spanish Hunting Dogs By Photographing Them Enjoying Their Life Of Freedom
Hi, my Name is Marcus Gier and I am a hobby-dog photographer from Cologne in Germany. I love to photograph dogs, especially the Spanish Galgo.
Every year in Spain thousands of Galgos (the Spanish sighthound) are breed and born for hunting. As soon as the galgos are no longer useful for hunting, they are disposed of in an awful and painful way. They are brutally killed, hung on trees, burned alive, or otherwise tortured. The World Galgo Day is a day where all of us can give a voice to the spanish dogs and give them attention.
My way and voice for the Galgo are to show you some of the rescued Spanish Galgos and their enjoyment of life.

People in Spain sure love to hung them on tree, 3,000 Spanish festivals involve animal cruelty every year, they don't give a f**k about as long as they have their own entertainment. They should all go to hell.

All these dogs are so cute. But why wouldn’t you give them away to a shelter instead of killing them when they no long serve a purpose for you, I don’t get it. If you want a dog, you have to take care of it all the time not just when you feel they’re making you money... it’s a shame human have to treat animals like that.
Being part of a Spain-based rescue organization, there's a big dilemma there. Of course our main goal is to make sure no dogs go through, what sadly, is our standard day BUT if we just accept all unwanted dogs (not only hunting dogs, but dogs used for breeding that are too old now, dogs that "grew too much", etc) we are basically encouraging these behaviours. The following year you'll have more unwanted litters at your door, the same hunter bringing you his greyhounds, maybe also other hunters... We become the easy solution for a problem that isn't ours. I wish laws were really enforced in these cases, as even if it's for the economical aspect of it, some people might think twice about what they're doing.

My mother rescued a podenko she found hurt and abandoned in the countryside in Spain. He's THE most beautiful natured dog. Anyone thinking of adopting one - DO IT!
0/10 for content. "Fecal-matter looking" is an incredibly tortured sentence. 0/10 for outrage. Everyone likes dogs, we know this is a blatantly transparent troll. 0/10 for effort. 3 sentences? Is your fake baby really tiring you out or something? Overall, F- for this troll. Not your best work. Other trolls will soon be showing up to call you the F word, talk about your mother, and misspell some other insults at you. I don't condone it but what can I say, they smell weakness and they pounce.
