As a kid in the 80s, I was horrified and irrationally angry about this abomination.

Sorry, even for the 80's this was egregious.

That is no defence! I was the same age as her (and probably still am, LOL) and I was let down by how awful that dress was.

In the 80s, I cried when I saw this…… from laughter!!! The way she butchered that dress and they tried to act like every girl out there wanted to wear pink potato sacks. The utter disappointment found here made this one of the worst, if not the worst, Molly Ringwald ever made!!

In the dresses defense, it looked just fine before THAT⬆️⬆️ happened to it. I was in school when this movie came out, I experienced the 80's, but that poor dress....😭

Kanye is abusive and one of his outlets is clothes. He has destroyed or tried to toss every partner of his' entire wardrobe and replace it with c**p he wants them to wear. Every. One.

I don't agree with 'so desperate for attention'. It looks far more like she is trying to ignore all the attention, and that she is being coerced into this. This does not look like a person who is enjoying their life.

Hi Mavis, Not sure that I agree with you. As I see it she is being controlled by her husband and is in an abusive/damaging relationship. She needs help to get you of it.

If you left the house wearing this while in Ireland, you'd be mercilessly mocked the second you opened the door. Pretty much anywhere you'd be made fun of, but the impression I get from second hand stories is that there's a lot of people there who love to give opinions about fashion choices. Lord knows the ones I grew up around in Wisconsin are sassmouths in this really specific way that hits center mass on the self esteem more often than not.
