Line Severinsen, an illustrator animator and mother of two in Bergen, has a funny series of simple webcomics that share some of the challenges and everyday realities of being an expectant mom. We all know motherhood can be tough, but her comic - Kos og Kaos, or "Cuddles and Chaos" in English - illustrates these struggles in a fun and approachable way.
Severinsen started her comic when she was pregnant in 2012, and continued it after a brief hiatus when she was pregnant with her second child (who was born in May of this year). Let us know in the comment section, mommies – did she get it right?

You Know You're In Your Third Trimester When You Drop Something On The Floor And Walk Away Muttering F*** It!
I did this and bent down to pick up my keys and must of squished my daughter and she kicked out and popped out one if my ribs :-/ to say it hurt is an understatement little did I know that giving birth would be a thousand times worse ;)
Can't See Below The Belly
Stop Touching My Belly!
Maybe it's a Southern thing. I loved it when peopled oohed and aahed and--within an unspoken agreement with strangers that perhaps only Southerners understand--layed a gentle, affirming hand on my belly. Even down South, it's all in the context. No one ever touched me, even once, outside of this unspoken "dance" of permission, but I'm sure anyone who doesn't know the steps might be offended. I can assure everyone, though, that it's a long tradition here that was only ever meant to show support, encouragement and a kind of shared joy.
Tigermom
Thanks :D I tried introducing "tiger stripes" into language use since years, now eventually it will be accepted!

Princess On The Pea, More Pillows Please!
Oh my god! I could never get comfortable, even with hundred pillows! Oh, those sleepless nights in last trimester...
When You Are So Swollen That You Look Like The Michelin Man
I became toxemic in both my pregnancies, learning that edema is no joke. Can be very dangerous. There's swelling, and there's, "I pressed my finger on my foot 20 minutes ago and you can still see the dimple."
Seven Months Without Alcohol
It bothers me that our society thinks it's unbearable to be without alcohol for nay period of time.
Load More Replies...On average, people find out at 8 weeks, which is 2 months; and it's quite possible that a women had a few drinks in that moment of time
Most ppl don't know they are pregnant till 4-8 weeks maybe she didn't find out till later?
It's weird. The original had 9 months. http://www.kosogkaos.no/?attachment_id=111 They translated it and changed to 7 months.
Thanks for this info even so - the toon woman is still pregnant so 7 mos is not out of line
Load More Replies...You don't need to abstain from drinking while breastfeeding, just be minimal with it.
You can drink while breastfeeding though, you just can't get drunk
Load More Replies...I had the occasional glass of RED wine in my last trimester of pregnancy. Special occasions like a glass with Christmas dinner and on Valentine's Day. March 19, 2015 I had my beautiful 10 lb boy. I sure you he's far from "r******d". So yeah, 7 months without alcohol.
Even if you don't know you are pregnant for the first to months you still can't drink while you breast feed from what I read...
I was planning a baby so didn't drink alcohol or caffeine for 6 months before trying for her, nor through pregnancy. Turns out I was sensitive to caffeine so that was a great move and cleared up severe migraines and other health problems and I never really wanted to be drunk ever again after so win win :) Cheaper and healthier
I went 17 months without alcohol - breastfeeding people!! Nothing better then moms milk that gives strong health for the whole life.
And if she did these while still pregnant then she could've only been 7 months at that point
Load More Replies...That was stupid! Some women don't even realize they are pregnant at the beginning. She didn't drink during the entire pregnancy. What is wrong with you?

If You've Had Placenta Previa, You Probably Know The Feeling Of Walking Around With A Ticking Time Bomb
I never had Placenta Previa(thank God) but my mom did & yeah she sure was a ticking time bomb! She went to the hospital so many times & the last time they couldn't stop the bleeding my sister was born a month premature, she'll be 32 on the 28th, I didn't want a sister when she was born but I changed my mind along time ago, I love her so much now!
These are still fresh in my mind...baby two can wait a little longer lol
Couldn't agree more! I'm sure we all have this love/hate relationship w pregnancy;)
I have'nt been pregnant myself, but can relate to these hysterical situations very well. Laughed 'til I cried.
I had 5, my youngest just turned 18 & I still remember having these feelings/problems (hated it) but this lady comlpletely ailed it!!
Or the sickness. That comes at any time of the day, not just morning.
