Air travel comes with its own host of issues, from plane manufacturers and airlines trying to save money to random people who truly think they are the main character. Add in the costs, noise and general tiredness, it’s easy to see just how people end up getting angry.
A man saw multiple people attempt to line-cut while disembarking a plane and decided to take matters into his own hands. However, not all of the readers thought his plan was as well thought out as he believed. We reached out to the man in the story via private message and will update the article when he gets back to us.
Being a plane passenger comes with some unwritten rules

There are unwritten rules everywhere if one stops to look
In so many social situations, it just takes one person misbehaving to ruin (or at least worsen) the experiences of others. This underscores the fact that the vast majority of people do tend to behave in public, and it’s a particularly active and vocal minority that sort of ruins it for everyone else. Look on the bright side, as a traveler, you will probably never have to deal with as many horrible people as a flight attendant or really anyone in a customer-facing position.
After all, think about the vast number of people who pass through an airport every single day. Yes, each and every one of us has at least one one air travel horror story, but given the sheer numbers of people we pass, it’s just bad luck. One way or another, despite language barriers and international borders, certain unwritten rules and expectations have developed.
In general, most travel tips boil down to common sense and identifying those pesky rules that no one actually writes down, however it’s worth exploring the cases where one might want to break them. The man in this story seemed particularly incensed by some folks attempting to disembark the plane as quickly as possible, but this might not be the “crime” he has made it out to be.
Some people might actually have good reasons to disembark as soon as possible

First and foremost, given the way many airlines now assign seating, one doesn’t really have control over where they sit. Budget airlines tend to make this a fun “extra” that one has to pay for if you want to sit with your friends or family. At the same time, while generally everyone wants to disembark as soon as possible, there are cases where someone actually needs to do it quickly. Not everyone is traveling for pleasure. Similarly, sometimes people have tight connections they need to make, and some airports are large enough that quite literally every minute counts.
Similarly, depending on the length of one’s flight, just standing can be such a reprieve. Perhaps someone is on their second or, God forbid, third flight of the day and really needs to get some circulation. Sometimes we travel with uncomfortable shoes. Sometimes we are going to see someone we so dearly miss that we’ll do anything to finish off this last, tiny leg of the journey.
Some things just aren’t a big enough deal to get worked up over
This is all to say that while line cutters are annoying, this sort of vigilante “petty revenge” might be a classic case of the road to hell being paved with good intentions. After all, does he actually know if these people are just blatant and entitled “line cutters” and not folks who actually need to disembark quickly? In general, bothering other passengers who aren’t actively bothering you right now is not exactly the best plan.
Just standing up isn’t a sign that suddenly this person is some sort of rule-disregarding monster, so in general it’s best to not judge. However, the man in this tale didn’t exactly ruin anyone’s life, by their own admission, they just took up around a minute of time from these folks. As far as air travel goes, if it’s not a brawl, then it’s a good day.

some people need to learn that there is no such thing as "unwritten rules" It something is a rule, it is written. That is how rules work. Otherwise, you can claim common courtesy or whatever, but if you wanna go with that, blocking people is extremely against common courtesy, so if you feel they are entitled AH, then buddy, you are the same or more, don't act so high and mighty
Oh, there are a lot of unwritten rules in our society and some of them are based on common sense, which should not have to be formalised. Having said that, why not let the people who have a connecting flight get off first? That should empty at least half the plane as people will pretend to have one just to get off early. Those who remain in their seat have the advantage of having the space and leisure to pack their things at their own pace.

It's more efficient. Getting off the plane similarly is more efficient if done the same in reverse. If someone is in a hurry, show some respect and trust they have cause to be in that hurry.
