It's hard to snap out of something you've been made to feel self conscience about most of your life. I mean, you can get over it, just not in a snap.

It’s a nagging social construct - sometimes. It was hard for me growing up and dating because I’m tall. I was engaged to the most wonderful man who was several inches shorter, it didn’t matter. What ended the engagement was the realization his mother had clearly decided that she would be the boss of everything we did and she was excruciatingly daft. I still miss him. Years later I found the love of my life and he towered over me a good 7-8 inches. Never dated someone taller than me before. I felt different and I’m sorry but I liked it. That he was an amazing human had a lot to do with it. It’s an annoying social construct, I agree. And while we are able to change our weight (not easy) we can’t change our height. You’re right - the person inside matters, but everyone has preference. I’m not sure anyone is upset about it! : )

Yep, just stop to harass people. I remember when i was a kid and visiting a new vacation friend in his room at morning and he was very nervous, hiding something under his bedsheets. I was like "come on, what are you hiding? if it's some adult magazine i have a big brother i know what it is." And he was looking ashamed and sad, he told me that it was a diaper that he had to wear at night. I just told him "Ok, it's not a big deal, no need to be ashamed, i drool a lot when i sleep. And it's a lot less weird than adult magazines lol" and we went outside to play with our friends, putting the diaper in the trashcan on the way. It was 25years ago and i still remember his sad, ashamed, fearful face. Nobody should feel ashamed of their appearance, their skin color, their disability, their sexuality or anything that is not hurting others. Sadly some humans enjoy putting others down to feel better about their pointless sad life.

Society tells us that there are certain things that make us more attractive. It's false, but unfortunately many people's brains are impacted by this toxic standard.

You are mistaking being upset with being amused.

Unfortunately it's something evolutionary engraved in our psyche that's very hard to overcome. Tall people are usually perceived as leaders. Their height implies good genes and access to more nutritious food during development so they have more prospect in the future.

Being short or tall is something you can't change, but if you are overweight, that is a health problem not a cute quirk. At least try to change and make yourself a better person.

Agree. Goodness knows it's been going on long enough. I remember the commemorative stamp celebrating Charles and Diana's engagement. He was pictured several inches taller than her. They were actually the same height.

I think it's his second wife and those are his kids. He makes jokes about cheating on his first wife, so number 2 might not last long, but IDK if she's the mistress. If she is, too bad so sad.Best you can hope for is that his career tanks before she finds out about his next side piece and there's less to divvy up than she's hoping for. Short or not, his ego is enormous and he's just effing loud and annoying.
