Actually no, my mom never allowed me to play with my own poop, so sorry, but I don't fall under that one. Nor my parents having bubble gum in their hair, probably because instead of that treat I received different ones. Like I said already - I don't mind the fact that parenting isn't just cheerful bright moments, I am just disappointed, that so many articles and photo-reviews show it from the "worst" side. Whether you like it or not, the flood of such content creates opinions and stereotypes and makes parenting looking as a really not fun experience. What can one make of such article, being like you said everyday life look, if all we can see is crying, pooping, mess? :(

Speaking only for myself, the years my children were growing up were the happiest years of my life. Yes, we had poopcidents and pukecidents, bloody noses, clutter and mess, but we also had cuddles, laughter, cuteness, and the joy of seeing them learn and grow and change. Our income was lower while I was fortunate enough to be home with the kids, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

You're right, if that's how you feel you probably shouldn't have kids.

The problem is that sometimes we get so tired we tend to forget to see the bright side of parenting. Ask any parent if they would like to go back to having their life without the kids? The answer will most likely be no. Having kids is awesome, it is a kind of love you will never feel for anyone else. Kids are spontaneous, funny, loving, they can say yhr smartest things and leave you wondering "where did they learn it from?", they can brighten up your day with a smile, they give the best hugs.... There are so many things kids do and make us proud of.... It is exhausting for sure, as they have a lot of energy, but it is wonderful! I cannot imagine my life without my son! :)

It is different when you have your OWN kids, trust me. I never wanted children untill I got pregnant :) At that moment, something inside me clicked, and I felt so much love and happines for my little baby :) Now I have two golden boys (6 and10) and couldn't be happier - watching them grow. And sometimes I still can't belive they're mine. My hubby tells me "Let's have another baby" but then I remember all these situations (that happen to every single parent) and say "No, thanks" :D :D :D

Alusair .. nobody asked you to have kids .. plus what makes you think you were different being a kid,? ask your mom if she regrets having you 😉

I chose to show what the gritty day to day life is with kids. It's not all fun and games. And yes, sometimes kids do cry for no apparent reason...they're kids, they will cry because you gave them the wrong color cereal bowl (true story!). My house is not dirty, just messy with toys and spilled cheerios or grapes, as shown in one of the pics. But if you have kids and your house is immaculate, then how much fun are your kids having? It's funny, 'cause people who don't have kids will prob share the same opinion as you do and the people who have been there with their own children will have a good laugh. Oh, and you did get one thing right, as a mom, I am always tired and dealing with poop in one way or another. I wipe 3 asses, not to mention my own, so...

I agree with you: you should not have kids! :-)
